Chapter 12 - She is Real and She is Back

"What is taking Samuel so long?" Celia asked as she walked back and forth in the lobby. She had messaged Samuel when she first arrived at the company. Two hours had passed since the message was sent, and Celia was still waiting. She heard the elevator door opening and turned around. "What took you so long?" Celia asked as she saw Samuel walking out of the elevator.

Samuel looked at his watch. "I'm not late. You asked me to accompany you, but no time was given."

Celia was a little surprised by his answer. Samuel had never talked to her this way before.

"Come on, let's go," Samuel said, moving to the awaiting car. Celia followed Samuel into the car and didn't say anything else. She was lost in her thoughts.

"We have arrived," the chauffeur said as he stopped the car in front of the hotel.

Devon got out of the car and opened Samuel's door. "Here is the invitation, sir," Devon said, pulling out the golden envelope from his suit pocket.

Samuel took the invitation and moved to the side so that Celia could come out. "Devon, there is no need for an invitation after all, I am part of the family," Celia said as she gave a big smile.

Samuel had his usual stone face, no smile, not even a smirk. "Tough crowd, come on, Samuel, let's go inside," Celia said as she jerked her arm around his and started to walk toward the door.

Samuel shook Celia's arm off and fixed his suit before heading in, Devon and Celia behind him.

"Are you ready, sister?" Nathan asked as he came into the room where Kaitline was getting ready.

Kaitlin looked up from her child, who was taking a nap in her arms. Kaitlin smiled at her brother, "Yes, I am."

Nathan's assistant came into the room and walked over to him. He had made his way over to stand next to Kaitlin. His assistant leaned in and whispered something into his ear. Nathan just nodded and waved him away.

"What is it?" Kaitlin asked, concerned washing over her face.

"He just walked in, and Celia is with him," Nathan said, looking Kaitlin in the eyes.

"It's going to be okay, Nathan, we will get through this, and I have learned more self-defence, so I am not as easy to bully as before." Kaitlin smiled up at him.

Nathan was about to speak when his parents walked into the room. "Nathan have faith in your sister, she knows what she is doing," his mom said as she came next to Kaitlin and took the baby out of her arms. She looked back at Kaitlin, "Now go finish getting ready, you have a big entrance to make."

Kaitlin smiled at her mom and moved to the room she had been getting ready in to do the last minute touch ups. From the room she could her the door being open agian and heared Alinas voice. "Is Kaitlin ready?"

"She is finishing getting ready," Nathan said, "how is it looking down stairs?"

"Its going to be a good show, a lot of the people that we wanted here just showed up, so we should be good to go," Alina said taking Evan from his grandmother. "Come here little guy, you look so handsome i could just eat you up."

"Please do not eat my poor little son, Ali," Kaitlin said as she came back into the room, "I am ready lets get this over with."

"Okay we will head over to the ballroom first, you, your bother and Alina take five minutes and then come over," Kaitlin's parents said as they each kissed her cheeck before stepping out the door.

Alina turned to Kaitlin with Evan still in her arms, "Are you ready?" she asked.

"I am as ready as I will ever be," Kaitlin said taking the hand Alina exteneded toward her and squeezed it tightly.

"Lets go, I have been waiting for this day for a while and i cant wait to see the expressions on their faces when they see you," Alina said letting out a small evil laugh.

"When you two get together you can be diabolical," Nathan said opening the door for then to walk out first. "Come on its time to go."

Kaitlin nodded and stepped out of the room. Alina standing to her right with Evan in her arms and Nathan to her left. They made it to the ballroom entrence and waited for their parents to make the announcement.

"Lady's and Gentleman thank you for joining us today in this joyce occasion," Kaitlin's father said, "we want to take this opportunity where all of our family and friends can get together to welcome back a special person that has been gone for a while now. This person has been missed and they have made the decision to come back home."

"Come on honey stop teasing our guest an anounce who the person is already," Kaitlin's mother said as she motion her husband to hurry up and stop the delay.

"Okay, with out farther due please welcome our daughter to the stage." The people in the ballroom looked a little confused considering that Celia had not gone anywhere. They had seen her around town and at different social events for the last couple of years.

Celia was a little shock and started to walk up to the stage but had to stop in her tracks when Kaitlin's name came over the speakers.

"Our daughter Kaitlin," her mother said as she turned to the left of the stage as Kaitlin walked in with Alina and Nathan.

Kaitlin reached her parents and smiled at them, "Mom, Dad," she said as she gaved them each a hug. "It is good to see you guys again and I actually brought someone I wanted to introduce you too." Kaitlin said as she turned backtoward Alina and took Evan from her arms. "Let me introduce you to Evan Hasley your grandson." Kaitlin smiled at her parents.

"Everyone please give a round of applause for my sister and my nephew," Nathan said taking the microphone from his father. "Now lets enjoy the rest of the party." Nathan put the microphone back on the stand and move back to his family.

Celia was still in shock, she didn't understand why she had not been included in this family revelation. Over the years the family had spoiled her and treated her just like another member of the family. Granted she had not been as envolve in any family things since Kaitlin had left but she still made it a point to go visit her parents and showed them affection.
