End of conversation. Yukino seemed to give in. Then Rei Ao's voice came again:

Mabel's voice came through again, now sounding flustered. It immediately piqued Alicia's imagination.

Her entire mind had drifted from the movie to what was happening in that bedroom.

While she was happy for Shinoa's world, she couldn't help feeling a bit disheartened about her own fate.
After teaming up with Misaki Shokuhou, Mikoto had finally accessed the research facility where the Misaka Sisters were being held and had destroyed that place, rescuing one of her sisters.
It should've been a good thing, but Mikoto couldn't find much joy in it. Because during the process, she saw how deranged those researchers really were. They didn't see lives as precious—nothing but test subjects, tools for their twisted experiments.
Even when she threatened them with her power, all she saw in their eyes was a terrifying, single-minded obsession. They were mad scientists, no doubt about it—everyone involved in "Project Sisters" was insane.
Saeko Busujima: "But I'm curious, Shinoa—how exactly did you resolve the fundamental conflict between humans and vampires?"
Shinoa: "Ha, we used a pretty simple method."
Shinoa: "Just like Rei Ao said, we changed the very nature of how vampires exist."
Kasuga Hijiri: "!!! You really did it?"
Sui: "Wait, you turned all the vampires into humans?"
Shinoa: "That was my original plan, but Krul didn't agree. She chose to alter the rules so that vampires no longer need human blood, nor can they feed on humans at all."
