Chapter 785 - Chapter 785: Zelel Witnessing the Battle!

Heaven

Zelel stood on a pristine crystal balcony, her wings gently unfurling behind her, every feather bathed in sacred light.

As one of Heaven's most distinguished battle angels, she rarely enjoyed a moment's leisure.

Golden radiance streamed through her long blond hair like molten gold, softening her otherwise stern features.

"I wonder how Gabriel is getting on in the human world…"

Zelel murmured, a seldom‑seen tenderness touching her cheeks.

It had been three months since she last saw her beloved younger sister.

The little angel who once trailed behind her, gazing up with adoration, was now on a so‑called mission among mortals.

She closed her eyes.

The halo above her brow glimmered faintly.

Clairvoyance—a sacred power possessed only by high‑ranking angels—allowed her to observe the lower realm across space.

The golden halo widened, forming a transparent screen before her. Images of the human world began to appear.

Scenes flowed past like water:

Busy streets where pedestrians hurried along and distant horns blared.

Noisy school corridors where students rough‑housed.

Quiet apartments where housewives prepared dinner…

Zelel swept her gaze over them, searching for that familiar figure.

"Strange… at this hour she should be at school or at home."

Frowning, she poured in more divine power. The halo blazed brighter, expanding its reach.

By Heaven's rules, an angel in training should attend class punctually, help humans, spread virtue…

Yet recent reports had hinted otherwise.

Just as she was about to give up, a trace of familiar energy surfaced.

Zelel locked onto it—only to find the spot shrouded in a strange mist that blocked her sight.

"A barrier?"

Alarm bells rang in her mind. An angel on assignment had no reason to erect so tight a ward against heavenly scrutiny—unless something needed hiding.

Her wings tensed; divine light surged faster between the feathers. Without hesitation she mustered still more power to force a breach.

Few enchantments could bar the gaze of one of Heaven's strongest battle angels.

The halo flared blindingly—yet before its light fell, the mist dispersed on its own.

"Hm?"

As it cleared, Gabriel's signature aura emerged—and the scene that struck Zelel like lightning:

Inside a lavish villa bedroom, her sister lay prone, snow‑white skin flushed a tempting pink. Someone occupied her body. Gabriel's disheveled state left Zelel unsure where to look.

Worse, seated nearby were Gabriel's friend Raphiel, and the two little demons Vignette and Satania who had likewise come to Earth. All three wore suggestive blushes, watching Gabriel's ordeal without blinking.

"Ga… Gabriel?!"

Zelel's voice caught in her throat. She could scarcely believe her eyes. The well‑behaved top student of Heaven—her innocent sister—was now…

Her fingers clenched, grinding the crystal railing to powder. Holy light rioted around her, whipping up a miniature storm; surrounding clouds swirled in a howling vortex. Her wings spread fully, every feather bristling with fury.

On Gabriel's face she saw expressions she had never known: dazed, intoxicated, wanton… No longer a pure little angel—worse than a fallen one!

At that moment the black‑haired man suddenly turned. Iridescent pupils met Zelel's clairvoyant gaze, a meaningful smile curling on his lips.

A chill shot up her spine.

He can see me?!

Impossible! Clairvoyance was one‑way and undetectable. Yet a heartbeat later, the mist shifted—her view was sealed again. No effort could pierce it.

"How can this be?!"

Zelel stood trembling with rage, shards of nearby crystal bursting under the violent halo of light.

"The human world…"

Her voice was ice.

"I'm coming—now."

With a snap of her wings she became a streak of light, racing toward Heaven's gate to Earth. She had to learn for herself what had driven her sister to such degradation.

Earth

Inside a room of the villa—

"Rei Ao‑kun… th‑that's enough, right?"

Gabriel's voice was sweet enough to drip honey, utterly unlike her usual languor. Her golden hair fanned across the sheets; her halo flickered wildly with emotion.

"Heh, enough of what?" Rei Ao chuckled, showing no sign of relenting.

"Of course I mean—" Gabriel cried softly, bewildered that Rei Ao only grew more energetic.

Unbeknownst to her, he had sensed Zelel's spying long ago and deliberately dropped the villa's ward so she could witness everything. Without that, Zelel would never have found them—and he could all but picture the serious angel sister's priceless reaction.

"Rei Ao‑kun, why are you suddenly being so 'enthusiastic' with Gabriel?" Raphiel asked, chin propped on her hand, eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Did something good happen that we don't know about?"

Satania's devil tail wagged unconsciously, betraying her excitement. Vignette, blushing, looked down, fingers twisting her skirt.

"Um… m‑maybe we should step outside?"

Though she had just experienced something similar, she was the most modest of the four and still shy.

"No way!" Satania pounced onto the bed like a spoiled puppy. "Master, it's my turn next, right? I'm way better than Gabriel!" She puffed out her chest, utterly unaware of how bold her words were.

Rei Ao laughed heartily, finally sparing Gabriel for the moment.

"Very well—let's see which of you is the best."

His gaze swept over the four girls, iridescent eyes full of indulgence.
