Remirg made his way into the very shaggy and unordered study. It didn't look like it belonged to someone scholarly. But it seemed that this room had seen better days, from the rows of shelves had been fitted into the wall. It was quite certain, as this house was not built by Karl, but rather purchased from its previous owner.
Remirg had not bothered learning the whereabouts of the previous owner and didn't want to. It was unnecessary. What he required from that place was more information. Records kept by Karl or even the previous owner could be very helpful for Remirg's further actions.
There lied a singular heavy desk and a straight-backed wooden chair. Except that, a pair of torches on either side of the wall and rows of shelves. On them were several hundreds of books, biographies, records, surveys, bills, novels and papers.
Most of them were lying on the floor with their pages open.
It was chaotic.
