It was called many things since its creation—
The Crimson Thread,
The Echo of Origins,
The Bloodpath Codex,
The Legacy Engine,
The Vein of Inheritance,
The Lineage Matrix,
The Primogen Link,
The Sovereign Gene,
The Rootbound Ascension,
and to the old tribes, The Voice in the Blood.
But in the present age, it has only one true name:
The Ancestral-line System.
Floating in the ever-encompassing and infinite cosmos, beyond constellations and the farthest reaches of mortal understanding, drifted a being not bound by flesh or time. It shimmered with an ethereal light, its form shifting between male and female in seamless rhythm—neither and both. Its body was translucent like starlight on water, and within its eyes spun deep mechanical blue galaxies, etched with spiraling silver runes—ancient and synthetic, sacred and exact. It was not born. It simply was.
Beside this being floated another—more defined, more solid, and yet equally divine.
