Time flew by, and soon it was afternoon.
After completing another round of training, Seimei had finally exhausted all the chakra stored in his special space within his brow.
Technically, it shouldn't have taken this long.
However, the key issue was that as he trained, his body continuously regenerated chakra, replenishing what was being used.
Because of this, the process was delayed until now.
Fortunately, he had achieved his goal in the end.
Feeling the now-empty space within his brow, Seimei didn't hesitate. He immediately raised his hand, formed a seal, and released the Senra Myriad Seals.
Instantly, the silver-white, eight-trigram-like markings encircling his Byakugan slowly faded away.
At the same time, a "§"-shaped symbol emerged on his closed eyelids, silently revealing itself.
That's right—his Senra Myriad Seals, which had been fused with the Guardian Seal, also had the ability to seal the Byakugan and prevent others from spying on it.
Now that the seal was lifted, his Byakugan naturally became visible again.
However, Seimei wasn't concerned. He would be sealing it again soon anyway.
Inhale… exhale…
Taking a deep breath, he exhaled slowly.
Once he had calmed his mind, Seimei gathered his chakra and cast Senra Myriad Seals once more.
This time, he didn't use a scroll as an aid but directly performed the seal on himself.
It wasn't a matter of recklessness—he was simply confident.
Compared to when he was at level 7, his comprehension and mastery of Senra Myriad Seals had advanced significantly after reaching level 8.
Additionally, he had already encountered and resolved potential issues before, so he didn't need to go through the same learning curve again.
In other words, all he had to do was make some adjustments to Senra Myriad Seals.
Because of this, there was no need to create another scroll for assistance.
And as it turned out, he was right.
Within just a few breaths, the silver-white, eight-trigram-like pattern reappeared around his Byakugan.
This was none other than the external manifestation of Senra Myriad Seals.
With a single thought, Seimei directed his mental energy into it.
Immediately, he sensed a familiar space forming in his consciousness.
Compared to the previous sealed space, this new one was much more stable and had a larger capacity.
Just as he had expected—when Senra Myriad Seals leveled up, the space it created could naturally store more chakra.
But exactly how much more? That required testing.
With that in mind, Seimei focused his attention and activated the power of the seal, extracting chakra from his body.
Drip… drip…
That familiar sound echoed in his mind once again.
Drop by drop, chakra materialized out of thin air, forming a small stream and pooling at the bottom of the space like a shallow pond.
Time passed, second by second.
Before long, the amount of chakra gathered reached 10,000 points.
Seimei halted the extraction and began estimating the total capacity of the space based on the volume occupied by this 10,000 points of chakra.
A moment later, he opened his eyes and murmured, "Ten million points… not bad!"
That's right—compared to the space he had created at level 7, the capacity had now doubled, reaching a staggering 10 million points.
With this kind of storage, even if he extracted the maximum amount of chakra from the Seven-Tails every day and supplemented it with his own recovered chakra, it would still take five full days to fill.
In other words, as long as he wasn't interrupted for five consecutive days—preventing him from training—he wouldn't have to worry about wasting chakra.
Satisfied with this conclusion, Seimei figured that with his current strength, such an interruption was unlikely.
With that thought, he gathered the scrolls and other items on the ground, returning them to the wooden hut.
Then, he once again used Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu and resumed his training.
Although his routine had been slightly disrupted by the upgrade of Senra Myriad Seals to level 8, the day's training was far from over.
Neither resealing the Seven-Tails nor expanding his chakra storage space had consumed much of his chakra or energy.
So, the training had to continue.
---
Sunset, then nightfall.
Before he knew it, it was evening.
With his eyes closed, Seimei carefully sensed the changes in his Byakugan. When its evolution progress increased by another four points, he finally opened them again.
Feeling the emptiness of his chakra space, he shook his head.
Now, forget about worrying that five days wouldn't be enough to store chakra—he was starting to wonder if he could even store any chakra in this space at all.
"…Maybe I should capture another Tailed Beast."
The thought suddenly crossed his mind.
He quickly ran through the current statuses of the other eight Tailed Beasts in his mind.
First, the One-Tail…
Gaara's birthday was January 19. If his actions hadn't altered history too much, then Gaara hadn't been born yet. That meant the One-Tail was likely still sealed within the monk Bunpuku.
However, as a Jinchūriki, Bunpuku was undoubtedly under heavy surveillance by Sunagakure.
Although Sunagakure was arguably the weakest of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, it was still far superior to a place like Takigakure.
He had been able to infiltrate Takigakure and seize the Seven-Tails, but pulling the same trick in Sunagakure wouldn't work.
It wasn't a matter of lacking strength.
With his current power, if he was truly determined, he could probably succeed.
However, doing so would inevitably provoke Sunagakure into hunting him down, as well as raising the vigilance of the other villages.
That alone wouldn't be too much of a problem.
The real issue was that Black Zetsu and the Akatsuki were also after the Tailed Beasts. If they discovered someone competing with them, they would definitely retaliate.
While he wasn't afraid of them, their interference would surely disrupt his training.
In other words, a single action could have widespread consequences, and Seimei wasn't interested in dealing with such complications just yet.
So, the One-Tail was off-limits.
The Two-Tails and Eight-Tails were both in Kumogakure, already sealed within their respective Jinchūriki, making them difficult targets.
As for the Nine-Tails, its Jinchūriki, Uzumaki Kushina, was practically an ally. He wasn't about to betray his own people—besides, Minato Namikaze, a Kage-level powerhouse, was guarding her.
The Four-Tails and Five-Tails had been Jinchūriki for years and had decent self-preservation abilities. With Iwagakure watching over them, they were also out of reach.
That left the Three-Tails and Six-Tails…
A few months ago, he and Minato had almost captured the Six-Tails' Jinchūriki, so Kirigakure was likely being more cautious now. He might not even be able to locate the target.
The Three-Tails, on the other hand…
Following Rin Nohara's death, the Three-Tails should currently be in the process of reviving.
This process took about two to three years—meaning in about a year, it would reappear.
When that time came, he could monitor Kirigakure and try to seize the Three-Tails before Yagura Karatachi did.
There was also Roshi, the Four-Tails' Jinchūriki. He had a rocky relationship with Onoki, and in another timeline, he eventually left Iwagakure to become a wandering monk.
That could be another opportunity.
But all of this was at least a year away.
For now, it seemed his plan to fill his chakra reserves with another Tailed Beast had fallen through.
