Chapter 368 - Chapter 366: Sandra’s Terror

Chapter 366: Sandra's Terror

"Oh, she's here!"

Li Meng turned slightly and glanced toward the door.

The sound of footsteps from outside the Throne Hall was growing closer.

In less than ten seconds, a graceful figure appeared in his line of sight.

Sandra, dressed in her water-blue mage robe, entered the Throne Hall.

When her eyes fell upon the "human" sitting on the goblin throne, her expression froze.

Confusion and doubt flashed across her face.

This was a goblin tribe—how could a human be here?

And not just any human, but one sitting on the goblin king's throne.

The man wore sleek black attire, his skin fair and tender, and his appearance exceptionally handsome.

For some reason, Sandra felt she had seen this person somewhere before.

"It's... it's you?"

A flash of insight lit up Sandra's mind as she remembered.

She had seen this young man at a recent ball.

This young man had even danced with her mother.

Seeing that Sandra recognized him, Li Meng's lips curled into a slight smile.

"Madam, you have a remarkable memory. Out of all the people at the ball, you still remember someone you only met once."

The young man's response confirmed that he was indeed the person from Sandra's memory.

"This is a goblin tribe. How... how can you be here?"

Sandra stopped in her tracks, staring at Li Meng in confusion.

Li Meng chuckled, his expression filled with amusement.

"Don't you dislike my goblin form? So, I turned into a human to meet you. What's wrong? Or... do you actually prefer my goblin form?"

Sandra's face turned pale at his words.

Her expression shifted rapidly, and she looked at the young man on the throne in disbelief.

The goblin king could transform into a human?

Did he possess the shapeshifting abilities of a sacred beast?

Did that mean his power had reached the level of a sacred beast?

Sacred beasts were at the very pinnacle of magical creatures, only those with intelligence could ascend to such a title.

But that wasn't even the most shocking part. What truly stunned Sandra was that this goblin king had been at the ball.

That meant he knew everything she and Morris had done.

Realizing this, Sandra's legs went weak, and she collapsed to the ground, her face ashen.

Li Meng stood up, descending from the throne.

Standing before Sandra, he looked down at her beautiful, extraordinary face.

"Isn't this wonderful? Because of what you and Morris did, I've decided to expand outward, bringing the borderlands of the Irisis Principality under goblin rule. War is the most fascinating pursuit. Without war, the world would lose one of its greatest pleasures. Madam, I have you to thank for bringing this war to me. I'll enjoy it thoroughly."

As he spoke, Li Meng reached out and pinched Sandra's chin, forcing her pale face upward to look at him.

"You... you don't stand a chance. Humanity's heroes are already aware of your existence."

Li Meng grabbed Sandra and lifted her from the ground, cradling her in his arms.

"You'll be a witness to this war. Let time and history write the future!"

"As for now... haha, let's start by giving me a child."

Laughing loudly, Li Meng carried Sandra toward the upper levels of the palace.

Sandra tried to struggle, but her body refused to move.

Her once-pale face now revealed a trace of terror.

As the countess, she was once again to be reduced to a breeding tool for goblins.

"Oh, by the way, Gloria is your mother, right?"

Hearing this, a flicker of confusion crossed Sandra's eyes.

Why was the goblin king mentioning her mother?

Seeing Sandra's lack of understanding, Li Meng grinned.

"That night at the ball, I also gave your mother a child."

Gave her mother a child?

Wait—did that mean her mother had... with the goblin king?

"You... you beast!"

Sandra was furious, yelling at him in outrage.

Li Meng, however, simply smiled.

"Well said. In your human eyes, how is a goblin any different from a beast?"

"By now, your mother should have realized she's pregnant and is likely hiding somewhere to give birth."

Sandra stared at the goblin king, who had taken on human form, with a face full of hatred.

She wanted to curse him further, but she realized it was futile.

Goblins didn't share the same moral values as humans.

No matter how much she scolded, it wouldn't instill any sense of shame in the goblin king.

After all, in the eyes of goblins, females were just females.

It was then Sandra understood why her mother hadn't returned home.

Her mother hadn't gone on an adventure this time.

She was hiding to give birth because she was pregnant.

"I didn't force your mother. When I'm in human form, I'm quite the gentleman."

Thinking back to the ball, Li Meng's mind wandered to two other women.

One was Efrideet, the other was Belinna.

Efrideet, being the High Priestess of the temple, could easily find an excuse to hide away for two years.

But Belinna, as a merchant's wife, wouldn't have it so easy.

However, goblins with hybrid traits looked quite different from regular goblins.

Though they had green skin, their features leaned more toward humans or elves.

Their pointed ears might raise questions, but their overall appearance was more human-like.

If Belinna had mixed-blood ancestry, it wouldn't be hard to find an explanation.

After all, all intelligent species on the Augus Continent were dragon descendants.

There were no reproductive barriers between different species.

Species with such barriers were called savage tribes, which were non-dragon-descendant intelligent species.

Although the southern continent was predominantly human territory, it also housed many demi-human species.

Most countries were in a state of mixed habitation.

However, due to the overwhelming human population, demi-humans would eventually be assimilated over generations.

It wasn't unusual for human children to display atavistic traits.

"Xiao Bai, keep an eye on Belinna. I don't want her to be in any danger."

If it came to it, he'd have to bring Belinna to live in the Throne Tribe.

Li Meng was willing to provide care for any female he'd had children with.

[Understood. I'll monitor Belinna's situation closely.]

Xiao Bai understood her master's concerns.

Though she found them pointless—after all, her master was just a goblin—why should he care about the life or death of a female?

But since it was an order, she would follow through.

At the upper levels of the palace, outside the royal chambers...

"I want to spend some quality time with my queen. Don't disturb us unless it's something urgent."

The swamp lizardmen maids outside the door blushed and nodded slightly.

The king was formidable in bed.

Sometimes, even the chieftain couldn't handle it and would pull them in to help.

Surely, this mere human woman would be completely worn out in no time.

As they watched the human woman in the king's arms, a hint of pity flashed in the lizardmen maids' eyes.

As the chamber doors closed, faint sounds began to emerge from within.

"You... you stay away from me."

"This isn't your first time. What's wrong? Feeling shy now?"
