Chapter 715 - Chapter 715 For the Grand Plan

The forge fortresses transported to Mars were designed to be modular from the start, capable of linking with other forge modules to form various types of manufacturing and research facilities. This was not something Solomon needed to worry about. All he had to do was transport food and fuel to Mars before the hydroponic farms and crop labs yielded their first harvest, helping those who had not yet undergone cybernetic modification survive the hardships. But Mars was not just for forging military equipment and improving crops—the greatest secret of the Martian forge lay deep beneath the planet's surface. It was Solomon's hope that this hidden entity would catalyze a leap in human technology, paving the path to human evolution, and serve as the first step in humanity's rebellion against its creators.

Whether gods from other dimensions or those from the physical realm, Solomon did not wish for anything in the universe to exist above the human race. Humanity would be the species that truly mastered its own destiny—"Never bow your head to ignorant worship, never kneel to false honor and power. We are the finest. We are destined to conquer the galaxy. Every species, every so-called god, shall be the stepping stone of our advancement." That's what he told Royal Guard Zero. Only a race with such clarity of thought could achieve the grand feat of conquering the galaxy—this was humanity's true destiny.

He bore no personal hatred for aliens, but the extraterrestrial empires of the universe had neither the intention nor the qualifications to coexist peacefully.

The Skrulls—disgusting shapeshifters, experts in peaceful subversion through disguise.

The Kree—blue-skinned goblins, a warlord civilization ruled by a computer.

The Shi'ar—gene pools deeply corrupted by outer-dimensional forces, their hollow-boned feathered forms perpetually on the brink of self-destruction.

The Brood and the symbiotes—slimy, toothy creatures that sought only to devour and infect all life.

The Xandarians—a hodgepodge of alien races whose interbreeding had led to the spread of bizarre venereal diseases and hybrid monstrosities. The source of half the troubles in the galaxy. Lately they were pushing campaigns like "Anti-Hybrid and Anti-Gender Discrimination" movements—the freest of the free, the bleeding hearts of the cosmos.

The Asgardians—pioneers of human evolution, yet a race manipulated by Elder Gods that had never truly attained freedom.

Looking over the galaxy as a whole, Solomon found himself more intrigued by Hell than by these alien races.

From the birth of civilization to the early exploration of space, humanity had taken only a few thousand years. That span of time, while significant to humans, was but the blink of an eye on the cosmic scale. Even so, many races in the universe agreed: humanity had already accomplished much. But time was running out for the species. Destruction loomed. The so-called Dark Titan was only the prelude to a bleak future—a tool for all humans to experience the cruelty of the cold, real universe. For Solomon, it was a surgical blade used to cut weakness from the species.

Even Mother Earth, Gaea herself, had no idea that Solomon had quietly taken her place as the player behind the cosmic chessboard. He did not trust Gaea's plan, nor did he agree with relying on the favoritism of various gods to secure humanity's destiny. He was about to repeat what Gaea had once attempted—but in a more extreme, more thorough way. And he had already found a viable method and had begun to execute it.

"I'm honored to receive an invitation from the Lord of Asgard, the All-Father himself. I will definitely attend the banquet."

Disguised, Lorelei wore a black denim vest and long boots, her black leather gloves studded with well-cut gemstones. With practiced ease, she slipped a few high-value Asgardian gold coins into the pocket of the palace ambassador. In her brief career as a disguised merchant, Lorelei once again demonstrated her unmatched adaptability, quickly mastering the tactics she had previously looked down upon—those of merchants.

Loki, in disguise as Odin and neglectful of state affairs, had allowed the palace atmosphere to grow lax, giving Lorelei a prime opportunity. She bribed performers and nobles alike, repeatedly dropping hints about a merchant from another galaxy who dealt in rare and precious goods. This prolonged monetary offensive finally piqued Loki's interest—not because he trusted his newly promoted cronies, but because he was curious about what kind of merchant had the wealth to bribe his people for so long. What Loki didn't know was that Lorelei's operational funds were nearly depleted; it was only through Solomon's constant infusions—via his interdimensional businesses and his personally assembled space pirates—that her espionage continued.

After the ambassador left, Lorelei closed the door of her inn room and retrieved a parchment filled with writing from a drawer. She knew every word on that parchment by heart, yet she still read it once a day until the next letter arrived. She buried her face in the parchment, breathing deeply and carefully, as if drawing power from the ink and perfume that had soaked into the paper—Solomon had repeatedly emphasized in his letters just how important and irreplaceable Lorelei was to him. He constantly reminded her of the glory she would receive once her mission was complete. Lorelei felt as though her master was always watching her, like a pair of gentle hands holding her heart, warming her even amid the freezing blades of Jotunheim, like a hearth kindled with the fragrance of mead.

These letters arrived periodically through covert channels maintained by Kamar-Taj's embassy in Asgard, all to avoid detection of the link between Lorelei and Kamar-Taj. Lorelei bore a mission of staggering importance—one that could determine the life or death of billions. To ensure she succeeded, Solomon spared no means, even resorting to extremely underhanded tactics. But he had not entirely deceived her—he truly had a position prepared for her, one where she would forever remain by his side. She would become the head of a crucial future department, one of Solomon's most trusted few.

Not until Asgard's artificial sun began to vanish behind the mountains did Lorelei begin preparing her next move.

She needed to infiltrate the palace further, continue hiding her identity, and seek an opportunity to reach the true core of Asgard.

Not Odin's vault. Not the royal throne or the defense systems.

But the very thing Solomon coveted most.

Asgard possessed a weapon capable of annihilating all gods—one more important than Gungnir or Mjolnir. Odin had bound it to the royal bloodline using his own magic to prevent other races from laying hands on it. That weapon was the Bifrost. Earth—Midgard—lay at the center of the Yggdrasil's transport system and was, by design, qualified to use the Bifrost. Solomon intended to wrest control of the Bifrost from the Asgardians and repurpose it as a tool for future humanity to communicate and transport across galaxies—more importantly, to unlock its true dimensional potential.

Only the Sorcerer Supreme knew his full plan.

It was a high-stakes gamble—one that would reverse the feudal relationship between Asgard and Midgard. If exposed, Kaecilius, currently monitoring Odin and Frigga, would be executed. Solomon himself would be attacked by Odin. And that was the best-case scenario. The worst would see Earth bombarded in a last-ditch effort by Odin, completing the conquest he had failed to achieve a millennium ago.

"Sacrifice is the cornerstone upon which the human race has endured," said the Sorcerer Supreme calmly, after Solomon had revealed his entire plan. "Your plan is viable. If you can carry it out, then all of Kamar-Taj—including myself—will be willing to sacrifice for it. Go forth boldly, my disciple. You will fulfill your destiny."
