Faced with Thor suddenly shouting Josh and Carol Kahn's names in public, the palace guards around him were left stunned.
After all, given Asgard's previous visits, these guards had come to see the relationship between Austria and Asgard as at least friendly—if not allied.
But the way Thor stormed in, full of rage, made it very clear—he wasn't here for a polite chat.
"Prince Thor, please show more respect. Your actions are disrupting palace order. If this is urgent, I can deliver a message to Her Majesty on your behalf," said a higher-ranking guard, stepping forward.
"Out of my way!" Thor, already furious, wasn't in the mood for talk.
He shoved the guard violently aside.
Though the guard had divine-warrior training arranged by Josh for Carol's protection, he was still only about as strong as a regular Asgardian soldier. Compared to Thor, it wasn't even close.
Caught off guard, the man flew backward more than ten meters and crashed to the ground.
That one move immediately enraged all the guards nearby.
Realizing Thor meant trouble, they instantly drew their weapons and surrounded him and his companions.
"That's enough, Thor! You're going to start a war like this!" Sif, seeing things spiral out of control, rushed forward to stop him.
"What?! Sif—whose side are you on?!" Thor shouted angrily at her, clearly offended.
Fandral stepped forward, trying to pull Sif back.
"Let go! Thor, you can't keep making things worse!" Sif shook herself free, still trying to reason with him.
Thor's expression darkened, lightning crackling across his body.
If he'd just been angry before, Sif's "betrayal" had truly set him off.
Seeing he was truly enraged now, Hogun and Volstagg rushed forward and finally managed to pull Sif away.
"Prince Thor, what is the meaning of this?" Just then, sparks of light flashed ahead. A glowing portal opened, and Carol stepped through with several attendants, frowning at the lightning-covered Thor.
"Hmph. Perfect timing. You don't want to marry into Asgard? Fine—I'll just take you back by force!"
Still boiling with rage, Thor didn't hesitate. He raised his hammer and charged toward Carol.
Before he could get close, two of Carol's attendants instantly stepped in front of her and raised a powerful shield of holy light, blocking Thor's path.
At the same time, two more attendants lifted their hands, glowing with magic, and launched spells at Thor.
The first two were elite priests, handpicked from the "Holy Light" faith that Josh had established through the Elven clergy in this world.
They weren't ordinary bodyguards—they were also the royal court's official priests.
The other two were the top mages trained after the founding of the Kirin Tor in this world.
They served as royal court magi, equally skilled in Azeroth's arcane arts and Kamar-Taj's mystical spells.
Together, they formed a formidable team—clear proof of how much Josh valued and protected his daughter.
In terms of individual strength, even Sif and the Warriors Three might not be able to defeat these four attendants.
But against Thor—the prince of Asgard—even they could only hope to delay him.
Ice and fire spells bombarded Thor's body, causing minor freezing and burning effects…
But none of it truly hurt him. He just kept advancing.
Being stopped by a group of "mortals" and relentlessly attacked only fueled Thor's fury. The lightning around him surged wildly, growing more and more intense.
With a powerful swing of Mjolnir, Thor transformed into a massive bolt of lightning. In an instant, he broke through all magical restraints and crashed head-on into the holy light shield.
The shockwave was immense. The divine shield barely lasted five seconds before it shattered with a thunderous crack. The two priestess attendants coughed up blood as they were flung backward through the air.
Fortunately, as healers, their greatest strength was resilience. Though injured, they weren't critically harmed.
But Thor's thunderous momentum didn't stop—he continued charging toward Carol.
Seeing this, the two mage attendants tried to cast a mirror dimension spell to trap him. But compared to the Ancient One, their skills were far from enough. The spell was shattered by Thor's power before it could even take form.
Yet despite the overwhelming lightning storm crashing toward her, Carol remained completely calm.
Not only was she a stronger mage than her attendants, she was also a person blessed by Celestial Tiamat. On top of that, Josh and Margaret had given her many powerful artifacts. Even if the attack hit, she wouldn't be harmed.
Still, just as Carol prepared to respond, she sensed something—and smiled faintly, lowering her hand.
Right before the lightning could strike, a massive sword dropped from the sky, slamming into the ground before her and releasing a radiant shield even stronger and brighter than the last.
The shield held firm.
Thor's lightning... couldn't break through it.
"Who?!" Thor shouted, stopping mid-attack as he looked up at the sky.
As his voice echoed, a tall figure glowing with golden light descended from above. Sword in hand, he landed firmly in front of Carol.
The moment they saw him, Thor and his companions froze in shock.
Sif's eyes went wide.
Carol, on the other hand, smiled proudly.
Her little brother had grown up—and now he could protect his sister.
That's right—the one who had appeared was none other than Ben Kahn, Josh's youngest son, who had grown tremendously after receiving the Barbarian King's Divine Sword.
He was now the officially appointed future Guardian Deity of the Kingdom of Austria.
The energy radiating from Ben rivaled even Thor's. Sif and the others couldn't believe it—was this really the same shy boy they had met years ago?
But the familiar resemblance to Josh and the respectful way the palace staff responded to him left no doubt: this was Ben Kahn.
"Thor, leave now—and I will pretend today never happened. Otherwise, don't blame me for what comes next." Ben's voice rang out, steady and powerful, as he glanced briefly at Sif—held back by the Warriors Three—and took note of the damage Thor had done to the palace gardens.
"Hahaha! So the little brat found himself some fancy divine sword, and now he thinks he's unstoppable? Let me see how exactly you plan to 'make me pay'!" Thor laughed in rage and charged, swinging Mjolnir again.
Ben didn't flinch. He met Thor head-on.
The shockwave from their clash ripped through the entire Schönbrunn Palace grounds.
Thankfully, the palace mages had long activated the protective barrier, shielding most of the buildings from damage.
But the once-beautiful front gardens—now a battlefield—were completely wrecked.
"If Odin doesn't give me a proper explanation for this… we're going to have a very serious problem."
A new portal opened in the garden, and Josh stepped out, his expression dark as he watched Thor and Ben locked in combat.
