Chapter 337 - 337. Lure Little Brother

The spear was very easy to make, as long as the high-carbon steel spearhead was produced on the assembly line. The spear shaft used was a standard two-meter-long white wax rod, ordered from the wood processing factory in City.

Assemble the steel spearhead and the wax rod together, and a spear was made.

Ethan delivered 1,000 spears to the Fusion Trading warehouse at a price of 200 yuan per spear.

Jason Liu knew in his heart that Luo Yuchen must have made a considerable profit. After all, a spear consisted of just a steel head and a two-meter-long white wax rod—the cost definitely didn't exceed 100 yuan.

However, Jason Liu didn't care. After all, he also held a 30% stake in Brilliant Props, and the money would circle back to him.

He wasn't concerned about a little profit like that. What he cared about more was whether Brilliant Props could deliver the weapons he needed on time.

The more profit they made, the more equipment they could purchase, the more staff they could hire, and the higher their weapon output would become.

More importantly, Jason Liu wanted to lure these guys in with high profits so they'd help him manufacture flintlocks and artillery in the future.

So, when Ethan quoted 200 yuan per spear, Jason Liu didn't even try to haggle. He just paid the full amount.

Not only did he not bargain, he immediately placed another order. "Ethan, continue producing spears. I'll order another 5,000."

"—5,000?!" Ethan couldn't help raising his voice excitedly, nodding repeatedly, smiling from ear to ear. "No problem, no problem, Mr. Liu. Don't worry, we'll make these 5,000 spears for you soon!"

"Hey, I feel more at ease with your work!"

Jason Liu wasn't worried about spear supply at all—it was a simple weapon to make.

Then he moved on to the pulley bows.

Ethan explained attentively, "Mr. Liu, of the 300 compound pulley bows you ordered last time, we already delivered 150. The remaining 150 and 4,500 arrows have now been produced and sent to your warehouse next to Fusion Trading."

"Look, I've added several new machines and hired more than ten new workers. I can now produce 2,000 pulley bows every month. About the order you mentioned earlier…" Ethan probed tentatively.

He clearly remembered Boss Liu saying he would eventually order tens of thousands of pulley bows. Otherwise, Luo wouldn't have dared to expand production capacity so drastically.

Just buying the new machines alone had eaten up all the profits made from the steel swords and pulley bows.

"Don't worry," Jason Liu said. "Everything I told you is true. The orders will keep coming."

After thinking for a moment, Jason Liu decided it was necessary to give Ethan some tangible benefits to deepen their cooperation. So, he said, "Keep producing pulley bows. I'll have Fusion Trading contact you to place another order: 2,000 pulley bows with matching arrows, 2,000 steel swords, and 2,000 spears."

"That's all for now. You can start preparing for production."

"Okay, okay! Mr. Liu, I'll contact Manager Oliver when the time comes!" Ethan was finally reassured. With such a large order, he could recover the labor cost for the robotic arm.

Before leaving, Jason Liu pulled Ethan aside and asked in a low voice, "Ethan, have you given more thought to that flintlock gun we discussed last time? Honestly, the market for antique flintlock guns overseas is excellent. The profits are sure to satisfy everyone."

"If you're interested, maybe start researching how to make it."

Hearing about the potential profits, Ethan's eyes lit up.

In reality, anyone in this line of work had probably dabbled in some gray areas.

Without it, many small factories would've closed long ago—relying solely on film and television prop orders wasn't sustainable.

Everyone had secretly made models of knives, swords, and guns—even full-scale weapons and ancient bronze cannons.

Bronze cannons, for example, were often bought for display purposes.

They were all just "crafts," after all.

Nobody was actually using those bronze cannons to fight. If someone had that kind of money, they'd rather buy a few RPGs.

Still, some people were naive enough to think old-fashioned cannons were a real threat.

The flintlock gun, in many ways, was the same thing.

But domestic regulations were strict, and Ethan was still a bit hesitant.

However, seeing the expectation in Jason Liu's eyes, Ethan gritted his teeth and muttered, "Alright, Mr. Liu. Since you say it's profitable, we'll give it a shot. Worst case, if we get caught, we'll just say they're crafts."

"Or, as you mentioned last time—we split the flintlock into several parts, assign standard sizes, and outsource them to different small processing factories. Then assemble them abroad. Shouldn't be a big issue."

"Recently, I've been researching it with a few of the guys. Honestly, we've never worked with this stuff before, so we'll need time to figure it out."

Ethan could never have imagined that Mr. Liu actually intended to use those old-fashioned muskets in combat.

Patting his younger partner on the shoulder, Jason Liu encouraged him with a smile, "Alright, don't worry. Nothing will go wrong. Just start the research quietly. I'm not in a rush. President Ethan, believe me—IronForge Props has a bright future!"

He headed to the 500-square-meter warehouse next door and looked at the 1,000 spears, 150 pulley bows, and 4,500 silver arrows stacked in wooden boxes. He was very satisfied with IronForge Props' work.

He took out his mobile phone from the car parked inside the warehouse.

The screen lit up—it was almost out of battery.

He connected it to a power bank and called Oliver. "Manager Oliver, please contact Mr. Ethan from IronForge Props in a bit and place an order for 2,000 steel swords, 2,000 spears, and 2,000 pulley bows."

Oliver didn't ask any questions and simply responded, "Yes, Mr. Liu, I've noted it down. I'll contact Mr. Ethan shortly."

After hanging up, Jason Liu glanced at the time. It was already past 8:00 p.m.

After thinking for a moment, he returned to the camp tent by Westeros Lake and instructed Dicken and Kent to set up 50 sheets of 4×10-meter open space away from the residential area, to be used as a warehouse tent.

It would mainly serve to conceal his transport operations from the modern world.

He also ordered Dicken to organize the 50-person guard force into 10 squads, with one squad rotating to guard the warehouse tent every day. Without his explicit order, no one was allowed to enter the warehouse tent area.
