Mai and Miku shared a knowing glance when the tremors upstairs had died down.
A brief spell of silence reigned, followed by the faintest sound of steps moving through the wooden boards. Mai and Miku stayed quiet. Not like the others hadn't felt or heard anything either, as Rei was leaning forward, an inexplicable frown on her pretty face.
Of course, being the master of the mansion, Tysone didn't have to sneak around his home. Nor did he really need to have his reputation kept clean of potential 'accusations'. So even if the rest of the crew knew that he was, in fact, partaking in the world-saving act of boning Saya, there was nothing shameful about it.
In a situation such as this one, where everyone had to stick together and look out for each other, there was only a mutual trust between them all. Well, almost all of them. The fresh meat had yet to establish their positions amongst the group. Would they get along with everyone or end up causing trouble, unknowingly or not?
They also wanted to create some kind of distraction while the starry-eyed woman upstairs got her brains scrambled and put in place again by a ruthless god, Tysone, in his second phase. "So..." Kohta, who sported a shameful blush and refused to lift his gaze from the ground, opened his lips for the first time in the night. He spoke without raising his head. "Should we go, uh, I don't know, train or something?"
Kohta's question brought a gentle nod from Yui who, upon his remark, perked up like a sponge absorbing water. She really wanted to distract herself before her thoughts spiraled around a very naked, and very sweaty Tysone doing unholy things. "Y-Yeah. Training sounds fun."
Marin also quickly nodded, her cheeks blushing for unknown reasons, or at least so she claimed. "Uh, training is good. We don't want to get rusty, right?"
Mai rolled her eyes, arm crossed. "Well, I'm not moving from here. Besides, it's still raining. Not really in the mood to get wet today. Too tired, you see."
"Not moving from here either." Miku readily agreed, crossing one leg over the other as she looked at the staircase where the previous indulgent noises had been wafting from. "Anyway, I guess we're going to make a fire while Ty takes his sweet ass time taking care of poor Saya. Her pussy must be broken, or something. You heard that last scream..."
Marin blinked once. "You didn't need to mention her pussy..."
In fact, the word itself had poor little Yui gasping and quirming on her place at the couch, next to Kohta who felt extremely nervous after hearing the girl next to him release that kind of cute noises. "Please keep it PG!"
Saeko, who had been quiet until that moment, raised an elegant eyebrow. She sported the trademarked expression of 'the hell have you idiots dragged me into?'
"In that case, then..." Kohta stood up, looking towards Yui, Marin, and anyone else who wanted to join. Rei didn't seem like she'd budge from her spot.
Saeko spoke up. "I think we should wait for Tysone to finish. I'm certain that he... will update us about his current condition and discuss what to do from here, and everything else."
That made Kohta hesitate. Thankfully, he didn't have to think about it as slowly, but steadily, two pairs of footsteps were descending down the stairs. He heaved a sigh of relief, flashing a shaky smile.
And as those steps reached the final stair, the first one to step forward, quite cheerfully and sporting a huge, smug-ass satisfied grin, was Tysone.
He had clothed himself; not that Kohta or anyone else expected him to come down naked, but since he must've been naked until now, it seemed like something natural to expect. Of course, Tysone's confident and smug gait gave off a feeling, that told him that, Tysone, no matter what, would come down half naked or even fully naked if he wanted.
Behind him, was a pink-haired woman, equally satisfied, cheeks flaring, lips slightly swollen. She clung to his side, bashful, and clearly loving the way she stuck to him, like a magnet.
"Reunion." He said.
A moment of silence, then Kohta spoke, pointing.
"... Harem."
As Tysone blinked twice, taken aback, Saya blinked, looked at him, then at Tysone, then back to him again before a visible tick began to throb on her forehead as she gritted her teeth together, cheeks reddening from embarrassment at the same time. "Ahem." Tysone cleared his throat before Saya'd exploded on the marksman. He repeated himself, firmly. "Reunion."
Mai and Miku stared up at Tysone, then at Saya, who despite her current state of evolution, was slightly limping. Her gait wasn't as straight-back and proud, but noticeably slower and clearly burdened with weight.
And Miku chuckled first, speaking with no filters. "Wow, I mean it is good to have you back, Ty. I was getting lonely down here, but damn. I wasn't expecting the holy grail of the night."
Rei continued, arms crossed, nowhere as amused as the other two. "You guys are going to wake up half the neighborhood."
"But we don't have a neighbor, right?" Yui whispered, only to be elbowed in the ribs by Marin.
"Shhhh."
Saya tried to melt herself into Tysone's back to avoid the gazes of those who had already reached their own conclusions. Rei glared daggers, unbeknownst to the subject in question.
"Fuck. I didn't think that—the acoustics were better than I thought, or something." Tysone clicked his tongue, finding the whole thing amusing. It wasn't his first rodeo that someone overheard, but clearly, when two evolved went at it, the sounds would become something else entirely. "In my defense, there were... events to which my body reacted—"
Mai rolled her eyes, interjecting. "Okay. First of all: Reunion. Second of all: Yes, Reunion. We don't have to know every detail about... whatever that was. Just leave it as is."
Rei sighed. "Seconded. As long as you're here, that's all that matters, right?"
"That was hot though." Miku spoke. "Like, a room away, but hot nonetheless."
"We are not discussing this." Saya finally found her voice. "Don't we have to discuss how to stay alive next?"
"First things first, gather everyone here." Tysone said, his voice sharper this time, though not losing that smug undertone. He guided Saya toward the couch before releasing her, as though she were porcelain—fragile but precious.
Saeko straightened, eyes narrowing as she folded her arms across her chest. "You mean everyone, right? Even the new ones?"
"Especially the new ones." Tysone replied without missing a beat. "If they're going to be a part of this, they deserve to know the plan. Or at least, the stakes."
They must've already been briefed about it when Tysone went unconscious from all that burning, but being the ones who fought and defeated that new threat, their perspective was key. If something had happened, if there was something they thought they should tell, the time to say so was now.
But before that could happen, there were certain precautions needed to ensure the safety and well-being of Tysone and those around him.
Within minutes, every inhabitant of the building was sitting somewhere, either at the sofa or the various pieces of furniture. Everyone beheld Tysone, whose physical appearance had undergone subtle shifts that had them all wondering where exactly those 'changes' had taken place.
It wasn't really easy to point out any particular changes, unless their gaze landed on his face, more specifically, his eyes and the color, but other than that, nothing else. His skin, his clothes. Everything looked normal and the same as usual. "First of all, I want to clarify that I'm fine. Great, even. Better than I've ever been. I can't explicitly say what else happened to me beyond an overall upgrade in strength. But let's move to a much more pressing matter: Them."
'Them' referred to the zombies, and their evolved counterparts.
He continued. "As you all know, last night, during our attempt at scouting out the land around us, and keeping the zombie's growing numbers at bay, we stumbled across a new species of zombie. An evolved variant, if you will. These zombies are quite resilient against the things that should kill a zombie: bullets, for example. Not only that, but this new species developed a concerning trait." As everyone waited with bated breaths, Tysone crossed his arms over his chest and raised his left hand to emphasize his point. "Fire. This new variant is capable of wielding fire."
