On the desolate, grayish-brown earth, a faint energy mist drifted gently along with the breeze, creating a mysterious and ethereal atmosphere. In this desolate world, even time seemed to lose its meaning.

This was the third layer of the Heavenly Tomb. After spending nearly half a year on the first layer, Mo Yu and Lei Fei'er finally stepped into the third layer.

In a remote corner of this land, two figures sat cross-legged around a bonfire. The firelight illuminated their faces—Mo Yu and Lei Fei'er.

However, compared to before, they now appeared more profound and reserved.

The path to the third layer had not been easy. Along the way, Mo Yu and Lei Fei'er faced numerous powerful energy entities.

Despite the trouble, these encounters brought substantial growth.

After absorbing the powerful energy entities, Mo Yu's aura stabilized firmly at the six-star level and was on the verge of advancing to seven stars.

The Heavenly Tomb was truly a haven for cultivation; it was no wonder various clans fought fiercely for these two entry slots.

"If my guess is correct, we should now be deep in the third layer. Husband, when we set off tomorrow, be extra cautious. The deeper areas of the third layer are the most dangerous."

Lei Fei'er raised her head, her stunning face reflecting a hint of solemnity as she gazed into the gray depths.

"Understood." Mo Yu's expression turned serious as he nodded.

The third layer was far more perilous than the first two. In his memory, encountering Ban Sheng-level energy entities here was not uncommon.

Given Mo Yu's current capabilities, a clash with a Ban Sheng entity would undoubtedly be a life-or-death struggle.

As he thought of this, Mo Yu lifted his gaze toward the distant, dim horizon. His silver eyes flickered.

At the farthest reaches lay his destination. He faintly felt his bloodline surging faster in anticipation.

Could the tomb of Ancestor Lei Zhen be near?

After a night's rest, Mo Yu woke Lei Fei'er early the next morning, and they resumed their journey as usual.

They traversed hundreds of meters through the energy mist of the third layer before their footsteps slowed.

Ahead, four energy entities sat cross-legged on a large rock. At their center was a particularly formidable figure, a nine-star energy entity.

Mo Yu narrowed his eyes, scanning the four energy entities. After countless battles, he was no stranger to these beings.

Without hesitation, his figure darted forward, appearing in a flash before an eight-star entity. His lightning-clad fist struck through its body, shattering it instantly.

Bang!

After swiftly eliminating the first entity, Mo Yu moved again, obliterating the remaining two in quick succession.

Though these entities were classified as eight-star, their actual strength fell short, making them easy prey for Mo Yu.

Roar!

The nine-star entity roared as its companions were slain. But before it could react, a vast surge of Dou Qi erupted from Mo Yu, transforming into a raging bolt of lightning that struck it fiercely.

Hiss!

The nine-star entity barely had time to growl before disintegrating into nothingness. A radiant energy core dropped, swiftly caught by Lei Fei'er's jade-like hand.

After swiftly dispatching the four entities, Lei Fei'er smiled admiringly at Mo Yu. Exchanging glances, they quickly continued toward their destination.

Following the battle, the road ahead seemed smoother for a time. However, the calm did not last long. Mo Yu's expression gradually turned grave.

He began sensing a powerful pressure emanating from not far ahead.

"A Ban Sheng."

Feeling the oppressive force, Mo Yu's brow furrowed slightly, and his pace slowed. He knew that failing to overcome this obstacle would make reaching Lei Zhen's tomb impossible.

"Fei'er, be careful," Mo Yu cautioned softly.

Advancing cautiously, they concealed themselves in the shadow of a large boulder. Mo Yu's eyes narrowed as he peered ahead.

Before long, his gaze locked onto the summit of a hundred-meter-tall mountain.

There, on a massive stone throne, sat a towering, burly figure. A dense, sinister aura emanated from it, swirling around the mountain like fog.

"What a domineering killing intent."

Sensing the oppressive aura, Mo Yu's expression grew even more solemn.

This was a Ban Sheng-level entity—its strength was overwhelming, enough to instill despair in even a Dou Zun-level expert.

As Mo Yu observed, the figure on the throne abruptly stood, its killing intent intensifying.

"Discovered, huh?"

Seeing this, Mo Yu exhaled slowly, readying himself.

Facing a Ban Sheng for the first time on Dou Qi Continent, his heart was both tense and excited.

Just as Mo Yu prepared to act, Lei Fei'er suddenly stepped forward. She smiled faintly at Mo Yu, then directed her gaze at the burly Ban Sheng.

Mo Yu was momentarily stunned by Lei Fei'er's actions. Then, he noticed a flash of lightning at her brow—a mark of the Lei Clan.

The Ban Sheng's gaze fixated on the lightning mark. Moments later, its eyes filled with fear.

"The Lei Clan's mark? You're a member of the Lei Clan?"

The Ban Sheng's voice trembled, its fierce expression giving way to terror.

"Damn it, a Lei Clan member! If that lord finds out, I'm doomed!"

The Ban Sheng muttered, glancing nervously toward the depths of the Heavenly Tomb, fear evident in its eyes.

After a moment of hesitation, the Ban Sheng began to retract its menacing aura.

Mo Yu glanced at the two retreating figures, a trace of reluctance flashing across his face as he said, "Let's go. Consider yourselves lucky this time!"

Seeing this, Mo Yu narrowed his eyes slightly and cast a glance at Lei Fei'er. He knew that all of this must be related to the Lei Clan's totem.

"In that case, thank you," Mo Yu said calmly.

Exchanging a look with Lei Fei'er, the two began to retreat slowly. Once they reached a safe distance, they turned swiftly and sped into the distance.

"Fei'er, that Ban Sheng energy body stopped midway because of our Lei Clan identity, didn't it?" Mo Yu asked with a faint smile as they raced through the mist-covered terrain.

His companion nodded, her delicate face lighting up with a smile. "You're as sharp as ever, my husband. Yes, it was my father's idea. As long as we reveal the Lei Clan's mark, few would dare touch us in the third level."

"Ah, so it's because of Ancestor Lei Zhen," Mo Yu murmured thoughtfully.

"Exactly. My father said that Ancestor Lei Zhen was one of the rare overlords of this third level. We, as his descendants, benefit greatly from his reputation."

Hearing this, Mo Yu nodded. At the same time, his curiosity about Lei Zhen's tomb grew even stronger.

As they hurried forward, faint sounds of something slicing through the air suddenly reached their ears.

Two dark silhouettes landed gracefully atop a massive boulder ahead, looking down at Mo Yu and Lei Fei'er with a mocking, cat-and-mouse expression.

"Mo Yu, your speed is far too slow," a cold voice taunted.

Mo Yu's face darkened as he glanced upward, a cold smile appearing. "So, it's you two losers—Hun Ya and Hun Li."

"Damn you, Mo Yu! Don't worry, this time it's your turn to become a fleeing dog!" snarled Hun Ya, his face darkening before breaking into a sinister smile.

As Hun Ya and Hun Li slowly backed away, two shadowy figures in gray robes suddenly appeared like phantoms before them. The men's faces were cold and sinister.

"Dou Shengs?"

The moment the two gray-robed elders appeared, an overwhelming sense of danger surged in Mo Yu's heart.

Seeing Mo Yu's expression change, Hun Ya sneered, his tone icy. "What's the matter? Does the hunter suddenly feel like the prey again?"

Though Mo Yu's heart sank at the appearance of the two Dou Sheng experts, he forced himself to remain calm. At such a critical moment, panicking would only lead to disaster.

"These two seem to be from the Hun Clan. Though they've fallen, the Heavenly Tomb has preserved their intellects. It seems these two came prepared," Lei Fei'er said solemnly.

Mo Yu nodded slowly, his expression grave. "I'll hold them off. You take the chance to reach Ancestor Lei Zhen's tomb and bring him here if possible."

Lei Fei'er's face changed as she started to protest, but Mo Yu cut her off firmly. There was no time for debate. As her fiancé, it was his duty to protect her.

"A Divine-grade bloodline from the Lei Clan… who would've thought?" one of the gray-robed elders mused, his indifferent gaze lingering on Mo Yu.

"Hun Diao, the Hun Clan is currently locked in a struggle with the Gu Clan. At such a pivotal moment, we can't afford to take risks. The Lei Clan ranks just below our Hun Clan and the Gu Clan. Their Divine-grade bloodline must be eliminated," Hun Ya said respectfully.

"Oh? The millennia-long plan is at a critical juncture now?" Hun Diao's eyes gleamed with seriousness before he nodded. "If that's the case, then it must indeed be done."

"Enough talk. Kill them and leave quickly. This place is too close to the tomb; we can't afford any delays," said the other elder, his tone stern.

Hun Diao nodded and stepped forward. With each step, the surrounding space trembled violently, ripples spreading outward.

Seeing this, Mo Yu wasted no time. He shoved Lei Fei'er backward and began fusing several streams of profound thunder energy within his body. A terrifying aura emanated from him.

"Desolate Thunder Orb!"

A golden-purple thunder orb crackling with destructive energy appeared in Mo Yu's palm. With a grim expression, he slammed it forward into the void.

"Zzt!"

The thunder orb collided with the void, unleashing a devastating storm of golden-purple lightning that quickly spread outward.

"Oh? Impressive for a Divine-grade bloodline," the gray-robed elders remarked, surprise flickering in their eyes. Even a Saint would take this attack seriously.

"Not bad, but still far from enough," Hun Diao sneered. He opened his mouth, and a massive black serpent over a thousand feet long surged forth from a cloud of dark energy.

The serpent lashed its tail, causing the space around them to collapse.

"Boom!"

The next moment, the Desolate Thunder Orb collided with the black serpent in a thunderous explosion. A terrifying shockwave rippled outward, shaking the heavens.

From within the energy storm, the enormous black serpent shot out, its massive tail slamming toward Mo Yu. Though the serpent's tail was scarred, it remained intact.

The oppressive force emanating from the tail caused Mo Yu's expression to darken. Just as he prepared to fight with all his might, the tail froze mere inches from him.

"Who's there?"

Hun Diao and his companion roared in unison, their expressions shifting.

"Hun Clan scum! How dare you lay a hand on my Lei Clan's people?"

A voice filled with the wrath of the heavens boomed through the space. As it echoed, the oppressive force from Hun Diao's spatial technique shattered instantly.

"Lei Zhen?!"

The name struck terror into Hun Diao and his companion, their faces turning pale.
