Chapter 43 - Zelvord

Merciless' paws lodged into the ground firmly. He growled and snarled like an actual wolf, further frightening the two villains: both Malvanor and Dihenix, for they had heard of how ruthless the Global ranked hero is when in this form It was the polar opposite to his 3rd and 4th phases, more on that later.

"Now," Merciless began speaking, his voice deep and menacing. "Try to make it worth my while!!" Saying that, he sprang towards Dihenix from his hind legs.

Dihenix instinctively jumped to his left, trying to avoid the attack. The wolf's claw missed him by a hair's breadth, and he fell to the ground.

Dihenix looked up to see the 'Werewolf' raising his claw in preparation for another attack.

Suddenly, a dark purple colored translucent wall erected in between them, making the Werewolf's claw bounce off with a loud noise.

Merciless turned to Malvanor, his black lips snarling and revealing rows of yellow teeth. The large wolf leapt into the air and towards Malvanor, his jaw wide open.

Malvanor casted another spell, creating another barrier in between them. Merciless clawed at the barrier, releasing piercing screeching noises. Finally, the barrier gave out.

Merciless rose hishind leg and kicked the old wizard in his abdomen, sending him flying.

The wizard casted the [Slow Fall ] spell and made the recoil dramatically low. But the hero was not done.

He opened his jaws, a strange red glow radiating in his mouth. Suddenly, a red pulse of energy shot towards Malvanor at blinding speeds.

The old wizard fell backwards, blood staining his robes like mud dissolving in water. He looked down at his wound, a bitter expression crossing over his face.

He placed his hand on the wound, a yellow enveloping his wound. He felt relief as the wound mend itself, but before he could prepare, Dihenix cried out.

"Malvanor, watch out!" The old wizard looked up to see the Werewolf, his claw raised.

He striked down, yet again staining the floor with the colour of blood and the scent that comes with it.

Malvanor fell to his knees, still holding on with the support of his staff.

"Done already, Malvanor?" Merciless spoke, his voice deep and menacing. "I would need way more power than that to even lay a finger on your brother."

"Still going along with comparing me to Alex, Merciless? Guess it's also a form of torment."

Merciless rose his claw once again, ready to strike.

"Too bad we can't continue this." Malvanor said, a smirk spreading across his wrinkled face.

The red eyes of the Werewolf gleaned upon him before he suddenly jumped back, his lips curling back.

The glass roof broke, and an abnormally large mosquito flaw in. "Nice to see you're well, Evan."

The mosquito spoke, its red eyes gleaming upon the Werewolf. The students, who were watching silently from the sidelines, could finally get a look at the 'mosquito'.

Its body was a light shade of blue hinted with royal blue. Its wings seemed to be made up of glass, and its 'eyes' resembled cameras.

"To afraid to face me, Zelvord?" Merciless spoke.

"Ah, trying to tempt me?" The mosquito spoke yet again. "But no. I simply had no reason to show up to save them. I also desired to experiment with our new creation."

"A mosquito?" Merciles asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Quite so." The 'mosquito' answered. "Don't worry, I'll tell you more about him in our next battle. Until then..."

The mosquito rose its proboscis. Instantly, a loud, piercing nose released from it. But it gradually fell silent.

Suddenly, Merciless fell to the ground, covering his ears of the painful frequency.

"Goodbye!"

The mosquito stuck one of its long legs and stuck it into Malvanor's robes.

The old and tired wizard rose his staff, casting a levitation spell on Dihenix. The mosquito sweetened towards the villain, Merciless still cowering in pain.

The mosquito gave a flap of its wings made of glass and took off to the air.

As the mosquito left the M.E.C. Merciless stood up, removing his claws from his ears. He looked at Lucas and then at Noah, who was hurrying from the distance.

"Get him to a hospital."
