Chapter 4 - Bright Future

The mysterious state Fang Hong had just experienced was precisely the phenomenon mentioned in the "Qi Condensation Skill."

The Cultivation Technique stated that as long as this sign appeared, it meant he had entered the "Qi Refining Stage First Layer"!

Fang Hong clenched his fists and indeed felt some magical power slowly flowing within his body.

Although that magical power was still quite shallow, it made him feel very secure.

Fang Hong smiled slightly; the Immortal Master had said his Spiritual Root was trash, and his path to Cultivation was utterly hopeless.

But now, his progress was so rapid, this huge contrast made him feel both surprised and incredulous.

To verify if he had truly reached the Qi Refining Stage First Layer, Fang Hong eagerly picked up the "Qi Condensation Skill."

His hands trembled slightly from excitement as he quickly flipped through the pages, the paper making a "rustling" sound.

Soon, he turned directly to the pages that recorded Spells.

Upon entering the Qi Refining Stage First Layer, with magical power in his body, he could barely learn some low-level Spells.

The "Qi Condensation Skill" came with six basic Spells: Fireball Technique, Heavenly Eye Technique, Object Control Technique, Wind Control Technique, Golden Bell Technique, and Thunderbolt Technique.

Fang Hong's gaze swept over these six Spells one by one, finally landing on "Fireball Technique"; he decided to try the simplest one first.

Next, Fang Hong focused his attention on memorizing the incantation for the Fireball Technique, continuously muttering it softly...

Time passed bit by bit. In less than half an incense stick's time, suddenly, with a soft "poof," a palm-sized fireball appeared on Fang Hong's right palm!

The fireball emitted a faint red glow, subtly radiating high heat.

Fang Hong's eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief. Had he mastered the basics of the Fireball Technique so quickly?!

Fang Hong carefully held the fireball, his steps light yet cautious as he walked outside. That mouse was still secretly eating his radish...

Fang Hong suddenly waved his hand, precisely throwing the fireball in his hand towards the mouse.

"Bang!" With a muffled thud, the fireball accurately hit the mouse.

The mouse was instantly enveloped in flames, letting out a few miserable "squeaking" screams.

In an instant, it was burned to ashes, disappearing without a trace.

Fang Hong witnessed the power of a Spell for the first time, his face filled with shock, his hands unconsciously trembling slightly.

At this moment, he truly understood that he had indeed entered the Qi Refining Stage First Layer. Cultivating Immortality was no longer an unattainable dream, but a tangible reality.

Fang Hong eagerly closed the door, then quickly returned to sit by the bed, his gaze fixed on the "Qi Condensation Skill," preparing to continue learning the other Spells.

Half an hour later, a Golden Bell appeared with a "boom" beside Fang Hong. Golden Bell Technique, successful mastery!

An hour later, Fang Hong's hands emitted sharp electric light, blue arcs leaping at his fingertips. Thunderbolt Technique, successful mastery!

Nearly two hours later, Fang Hong was exhausted like a dog, collapsing onto the bed with a "thud," gasping for breath, his chest heaving violently...

After continuously practicing Spells, his internal magical power was almost depleted!

After all, he was currently only at the Qi Refining Stage First Layer; his magical power was still too shallow. He could at most cast three or four Spell attacks before his internal magical power would be completely exhausted.

Although his body was very tired, Fang Hong's face was beaming with a smile, a smile full of hope.

The Immortal Master had said his Spiritual Root was trash and he had no hope of Cultivation in his lifetime, but why did he feel his future was bright?

Although he didn't understand why he Cultivated so quickly, none of that mattered anymore. What was important was that his path to Immortality had just begun!

Fang Hong forced his tired body to sit up on the bed, adjusted his breathing, formed the Qi Refining hand seals, and continued to meditate and refine Qi to restore his depleted magical power...

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window onto Fang Hong's body.

Fang Hong slowly retracted his hand seals, ending his Qi Refining state. The magical power consumed last night had been fully restored, and he even had a little more magical power in his body.

"Hmm? That black gourd!" Suddenly, Fang Hong's gaze inadvertently fell upon the black gourd on the table, and a surprised expression appeared on his face.

The black gourd was emitting a faint spiritual glow, appearing especially mysterious under the sunlight!

Fang Hong was greatly astonished, his eyes wide and round, almost thinking he had seen things.

He immediately got out of bed, not even bothering to put on his shoes, and hurried barefoot to the table, staring at the black gourd.

He had indeed not seen wrong; the black gourd was truly emitting a spiritual glow. Could it be some kind of spiritual object?

Fang Hong secretly guessed, his curiosity thoroughly piqued.

Driven by curiosity, Fang Hong slowly reached out and grabbed the black gourd.

Just then, a sudden change occurred. A terrifying suction force came from the black gourd, frantically pulling at Fang Hong's magical power!

Fang Hong felt his internal magical power uncontrollably surging towards the gourd.

"Ah!" Fang Hong was horrified.

He desperately tried to shake off this bizarre gourd, but the gourd seemed to be stuck to his hand, no matter how hard he tried to shake it off, he couldn't!

"Whoosh!"

Within a few breaths, Fang Hong's eyes went blank, his Divine Sense suddenly dispersed, and he was instantly sucked into an unfamiliar space.

He only felt a dizzying sensation, and when he could see his surroundings clearly again, he found himself in an unfamiliar space.

"Oh heavens! This, what is this place?!" Fang Hong's Divine Sense scanned around, realizing he was in a pile of dead bodies, surrounded by mountains of corpses.

Fang Hong's first reaction was shock and fear. Who was so cruel to kill so many people and pile their bodies into mountains!

Just then, his gaze fell on the top of the mountain, where a Black-Robed Man stood prominently.

Fang Hong stared intently at the Black-Robed Man, his heart pounding.

He noticed that the Black-Robed Man was holding a black gourd, precisely that strange black gourd.

At this moment, the Black-Robed Man acted. He slightly raised his hand, and millions of corpses "whooshed" up into the air, twisting and contorting.

Immediately after, the Black-Robed Man channeled magical power into the black gourd. Streaks of black light shot out from his hand, merging into the black gourd.

"Boom!"

With a muffled thud, the skull on the black gourd seemed to come alive, its mouth opening. A powerful suction force emanated from the gourd's opening, sucking all the corpses inside!

Fang Hong's eyes were wide open, watching this scene before him, his face full of shock.

After the corpses were gone, Fang Hong's surroundings became empty, leaving only a deathly silence.

The Black-Robed Man waved his hand again, and tiny light particles sprayed out from the gourd's opening, those small light particles shimmering with various colors.

The small light particles landed on the barren ground, and surprisingly, small green shoots grew from the desolate earth.

The small green shoots grew at a visible rate, and in a short while, they grew into a patch of green grassland, bringing a hint of vitality to this silent space!
