Chapter 17 - Is this boy afraid I'd eat him?

Seven days later, the cave was silent.

Fang Hong awoke from his Qi Refining meditation, a smile involuntarily appearing on his face.

At this moment, he could clearly feel the Magical Power surging within his body; his Cultivation had advanced once more, successfully Breaking Through to the thirteenth level of Qi Refinement Stage.

All of this Breakthrough was due to his Dual Cultivation with Su Shan earlier.

Su Shan was currently sitting opposite him, still in Qi Refining meditation.

Her face was serene, her beautiful eyes tightly closed, and a rich Spiritual Qi enveloped her body; her aura had already climbed to the peak of the Qi Refinement Stage, just one step away from the Foundation Establishment Stage.

Gazing at the beautiful woman before him, Fang Hong's expression became complicated, and his heart was filled with countless emotions.

His gaze lingered on Su Shan; although all of this was accidental, it was undeniable that he had indeed had intimate contact with the woman before him.

That day, the evil fire had gradually dissipated within half a day.

However, Su Shan seemed to be controlled by a mysterious and unknown force, becoming unusually demanding.

In that situation, Fang Hong was in a dilemma and, in the end, had no choice but to continue to accommodate her.

It wasn't until two more days passed that the two finally separated, each choosing to meditate and Cultivate to calm the disordered True Qi and their state of mind.

Fang Hong sat quietly to the side, his eyes occasionally glancing at Su Shan.

As time passed, he noticed that Su Shan's aura grew stronger and stronger.

The surrounding Spiritual Qi was attracted by something, surging into her body in large quantities, and a small Spiritual Qi vortex gradually formed, emitting a "buzzing" sound.

"She wouldn't be trying to Breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment Stage in one go, would she?!" Fang Hong's face showed surprise, as if he had seen through Su Shan's intention.

A sense of unease suddenly welled up in Fang Hong's heart; if Su Shan successfully achieved Foundation Establishment, the strength gap between the two of them would widen further.

Just as Fang Hong had thought, the True Qi within Su Shan's body had begun to slowly transform into liquid True Yuan; her Foundation Establishment success was only a matter of time!

"I took her purity; what if she turns hostile and seeks revenge?"

"If she Breakthroughs to the Foundation Establishment Stage, her Magical Power will definitely increase greatly, and she has a high-grade Magical Artifact; I'm no match for her!" Fang Hong's brows furrowed.

"Forget it, forget it, it's better to run away first!" After much thought, Fang Hong decided it was best to run away first to avoid any unpleasant incidents.

Fang Hong quietly stood up, his movements light, and walked step by step towards the outside of the stone house.

When Fang Hong arrived at the iron gate, he looked back at Su Shan, and whispered, "Su Shan, may we meet again..."

Fang Hong didn't look back and left the cave... Half an incense stick later, Su Shan's body trembled slightly, and a powerful aura erupted from within her.

She had successfully achieved Foundation Establishment!

However, when she opened her eyes and saw that Fang Hong was long gone, she couldn't help but say angrily, "Is this boy afraid I'd eat him?"

Su Shan looked speechless, recalling what had happened over the past two days, her heart also filled with mixed emotions; she had given her purity to this boy, Fang Hong.

"Oh well, oh well, I hope he'll be fine..." Su Shan sighed.

She slowly stood up, tidied her clothes, and also left the cave.

After leaving the cave, Su Shan went to Qingxia Town again, attempting to find Fang Hong's traces, but Fang Hong was long gone... In helplessness, she had no choice but to leave.

Meanwhile, Fang Hong was following an ancient path, leaving the Qingxia Mountain range and continuing to walk north.

He no longer planned to stay in Qingxia Town, to avoid being found by Su Shan.

Fang Hong traveled north, crossing mountains and rivers, enduring the elements along the way.

After ten days, he finally arrived at another town, named "Nanyang City."

Nanyang City was much larger than Qingxia Town.

Tall city gates stood before him, the city walls several tens of feet high, and some Mortal soldiers from the Qin Kingdom guarded them, holding long spears, sternly collecting entrance fees.

"Nanyang City..." Fang Hong stood not far from the city gate, falling into a period of recollection, his thoughts drifting back to when the Taiyi Sect Immortal Master had visited Bamboo Forest Village.

He remembered that the Taiyi Sect Immortal Master had said that Nanyang City held an Ascension Gathering every year, recruiting Loose Cultivator Disciples from various places.

Fang Hong no longer had much enthusiasm for Cultivation Schools; after all, he now possessed the demon gourd, and accumulating Spirit Pills by slaying Yao Beasts in various places was the most suitable Cultivation method for him.

Fang Hong stepped closer to the city gate, intending to rest in Nanyang City for a period, as he still had three Golden Origin Fruit and some Spirit Pills that he hadn't refined yet.

He had been traveling all these days, without a stable place to Cultivate, and now finally had a place to settle down.

Fang Hong walked to the city gate, took out some silver coins from his cloth pouch, and handed them to the guarding soldiers.

The soldiers took the silver coins, inspected them carefully, then nodded and let him into the city.

Fang Hong passed through the city gate passage and walked two or three li along the main road, finally arriving at the urban area.

The sight before him made his eyes light up.

Within the city, pavilions stood in rows, the ground was paved with square bluestones, and the streets were wide and clean.

Various shops lined the streets, and pedestrians came and went, making it exceptionally lively.

Fang Hong strolled leisurely on the street; it was his first time in such a bustling town, and he inevitably found it somewhat novel.

Among these pedestrians, most were Mortals without Magical Power, and only a small number were Cultivators.

Moreover, these Cultivators were all at the Qi Refinement Stage, and their ages did not seem to be very old.

Fang Hong didn't wander for long; he found an ordinary Mortal inn and rented a room on the second floor...
