CHAPTER : 9 : PERHAPS I AM NOT ALONE ANYMORE :
Location : Nara Clan Compound :
Located at the outskirts of Konoha surrounded by forests which are specially known for their medicinal plants lays the Nara compound .
At this moment two figures were walking through the Nara clan compound in a calm and composed manner talking and chatting as they go through the quite road .
One of them who was the adult seemed to be a member of the Nara clan moved the round showing the other person the area around like a tour guide .
" So Takeru what do you think about the Nara Clan Compound ? Is it to your liking . " - asked the adult man with a short goatee .
" Yes lord Shikamaru it's beautiful and more importantly very peaceful . " - said Takeru with politely .
Yes ! The two people were non - other than Nara Shikamaru and Yamamoto Takeru .
A few minutes ago Takeru arrived at the Nara Clan Compound .
And to his surprise he accidentally ran into Nara Shikamaru who was also entering the compound at the same time . So they decided to go together .
" Haa haa ! Yes it's indeed very beautiful afterall my wife Tamari takes care of it herself . " - said Shikamaru as he burst into a delightful laughter .
" But I wouldn't quite say it's peaceful though . Between you and me , your aunt Tamari is very hot tempered , so it's best if you don't get on her bad side . " - whispered Shikamaru as he himself shivered from remembering the image of his angry wife .
' Then you and your son should focus when she is talking to you instead of day dreaming and playing games lazyly all the time . ' - Takeru thought to himself as he was well aware of the nature of these Nara father and son team .
But obviously he won't say that aloud and only nodded in agreement .
While he was walking he also looked around the forest area always keeping his senses up not because he was expecting some kind of trouble but because he simply wanted to do a little more training .
To be honest this kind training doesn't require much chakra and has shown little help when it comes to improving the proficiency of his Senju Hashirama template however it was quite helpful when it came to his Miyamoto Musashi template from the Baki series .
But as his professioncy increased specially in the Miyamoto Musashi template which just yesterday reached 50 percent, he felt that he is reaching a blockage obstacle from further improving due to him not practicing with proper swords .
' It seems I need to do something about it soon . '
After a while they reached a traditional Japanese house from where a lot of noise of happy conversations could be heard .
" Well it seems the party has already started without us. Better hurry or all the food might just be eaten by Choji . " - said Shikamaru as he led Takeru to the house .
As Takeru entered the house he caught the site of many unfamiliar yet and familiar individuals in front of him . While he may not have met them in person he certainly did see them a lot of time as frictional characters from his previous life .
To be honest this feeling of seeing people who you thought to be frictional characters from another life is truly astonishing .
In the house there were individuals like Yamanaka Ino , Uchiha ( nee Haruno ) Sakura , Tenten and Nara Temari and Akimichi Karui .
Then there are Akimichi Choji and Yamanaka Sai .
They even brought their kids to the party - Nara Shikadai , Yamanaka Inojin and Akimichi Chocho .
' Well well well it seems the whole Ino - Sika - Cho crew is here ha ! Well then let's go and find the pirate king's treasure . ' - thought Takeru to himself as he scanned everyone in the room .
" You sure took your time Shikamaru . What took you so long . " - asked Tamari as she came out of the kitchen .
" Oh ! I got a little distracted while talking to this young man here . I am sure you have met him before this is Yamamoto Takeru a new entry to the shinobi academy just like our son . " - said Shikamaru as he introduced Takeru.
" Hello Mrs. Tamari it's nice to meet you again and thank you for inviting me . " - Takeru said politely .
As he finished speaking Temari's eyes on to him immediately bacame much pleasant and then with a smile she came forward and ruffled Takeru's hair affectionately .
" Oh my ! Takeru it's nice to meet you again and how about leave those formalities behind . You can call me aunt Temari and Shikamaru as uncle Shikamaru from now on ." - said Tamari .
" Thanks aunt Tamari . " - replied Takeru feeling much more at ease .
" Let's go and introduce you to everyone else here . " - said Shikamaru as he took Takeru for an introduction .
Then Shikamaru would introduce everyone in the room .
" These are my old teammates from team 10 of our generation here is Yamanaka Ino as you have already met her before , then here is Akimichi Choji . And there are also their partners Yamanaka Sai and Acimichi Karuri . " - as he introduced them he also said more about their personality and what they liked especially pointing out how a certain someone in the group liked eating very much who was eating some chips at the same time .
Takeru just as usual greated them all politely but his eyes lingered on a certain someone for a little more than others .
' Yamanaka Sai former Root member under Shimura Danzo just like many of the characters that met Uzumaki Naruto he later changed and married Yamanaka Ino . ' - he thought to himself silently as continued to greet others .
" And here is my son Nara Shikadai he is a lazy fool so I would appreciate if you become his friend . " - said Shikamaru as he rubbed Shikadai's hair much to the young Nara's annoyance .
" Geez ! Thanks dad for ruining my first impression . " - Shikadai grumbled as looked at Shikamaru .
" Hello I am Yamamoto Takeru it's nice to meet you Shikadai and I hope we can be friends . " - Takeru greeted Shikadai but this time he was far more cheerful then when he greated the elder generation .
To be honest since coming to this world he had not interacted with people with his same age group very much and even in the orphanage the people around his age seemed so much different from him that he could not easily connect especially since he is always busy with training and never had a time to play with them it makes a gap that is not easy to fill up .
It's not like that Takeru was being rude or thought of himself as someone better than anyone else .
But he knew that the future was far more precarious then the peaceful present .
But although Shikadai too wasn't much different since he doesn't know the future just like everyone else at least he was one of main characters in the story and might be a future brother in arm .
This brought atleast a little more connection to Takeru's heart .
" Hey man it's nice to meet you and don't listen to my old man he is such a drag. " - Shikadai said while looking at Shikamaru with annoyed expression .
" No no it's alright I am sure Uncle Shikamaru was just joking " - said Takeru after which both started to talk about their likes and dislikes .
" Hey you two are are you going to just talk to each other and ignore us altogether . " - suddenly a female voice came from behind promoting both Takeru and Shikadai to look back .
There he saw the remaining two members of the trio - Akimichi Chocho with a bag of chips in her hands and Yamanaka Inojin smiling as always .
" Hey my name is Akimichi Chocho here want some chips . "
" Hello there my name is Yamanaka Inojin and sorry for the rude interruption just now . "
" Thankyou for the chips they are delicious and no apology is needed it's quite alright . " - Takeru said as he ate the chips given by Chocho .
He could see genuine happiness and curiosity in their eyes as if they truly wanted to be friends with him something that made him very happy .
" So Takeru want to play some video games I just got the newest addition yesterday . " - Inojin said .
" Alright but you will have to teach me how to play I don't have much experience . " - Takeru said with some embarassment as it was totally true because not only in this life where he didn't have a video game even in his previous life he had not played much video games either .
" Well then ,if that's the case then I can be be your video game teacher but you will have to call me ' Shikadai Sensei ' . " - said Shikadai with a big smirk .
Obviously Takeru understood what Shikadai was upto .
' Playing games with me now are you , fine have it your way then . '
Without saying anything else Takeru bent down 90 degrees and before anyone could react he said .
" Oh ! Almighty King of Video Games Lord Shikadai please bestow your plentiful knowledge to this subject of yours , please Shikadai sensei . "
For a moment the room fell in silence both the parents and the younger generations looked at Takeru with wide eyes until .
" Phft ! Ha ... Hahaa kimg of video games ... Oh ! Takeru that was really something ... Haaa . " - the silence was broken by Chocho who couldn't control her laughter .
And with that others also joined in .
" Oh ! Haa ... haaa ... Takeru that was hilarious it seems like Shikadai has a new name that I can call him by in home from now on . Don't you agree Shikamaru . " - said Temari as she was practically holding her stomach by laughing so hard .
" Yes ! That's right it seems my son is now the king of video games truly a worthy Nara clan member . " - Shikamaru although trying to control his laughter , he too couldn't help but join in the fun .
" Oh ! this kid sure knows how to talk nicely Shikamaru I like him already . " - said Akimichi Choji .
With that others also started laughing and teasing the poor Shikadai who was red like a Tomato at this moment .
" Hey !!! That's not cool Takeru ... Geez !!! You know what you really are a drag . And mom dad and all of you stop laughing . " - with that he started walking out of the room .
" Wait for us Shikadai . " - with that both Inojin and Choco also followed him .
Seeing this Takeru also started to follow them but something stopped him , some uneasy feeling .
' Would they want me as their friend ? . '
Suddenly images of cold rejections from his past life started to appear in his mind .
' ' Sorry, you can't be our friend . ' '
' ' No we don't want to play with you . ' '
' ' No one want's to be my friend . "
' ' I am A L O N E . ' '
' ' Alone ... No friends ... Don't want to play ... Alone ... You Will Always Be Alone And... ' '
" Hey Takeru are you not going with them . "
Suddenly a gentle voice broke him from his nightmares .
When he looked up he saw it was Tenten who was by his side with a motherly smile .
Then he saw that infront of him Shikadai , Inojin and Choco all waiting for him expecting him to come with them .
Finally after seeing Tenten's encouragement he smiled .
" Yes ! I will go with them . " - with that he moved forward joining Shikadai's group .
' Perhaps I am not alone anymore . '
