"Why does any of that matter? He needs me he just doesn't know it yet." Asti explained, leaning back against the island when Andrew was getting too close for her liking. Sure she had slept with him in the past, probably resulting in her being in this situation. But that was a mistake and she was drunk. He was drunk. And none of it was supposed to happen.
Andrew looked at her with even more confusion. "What does that even mean? He needs you but he doesn't know it yet. Do you know how insane that sounds?" He demanded.
Asti bit her bottom lip. "That sounds crazy to you but I know my Tiel. He'll come looking for me once all of this is blown out of the water." Asti pointed out, with so much confidence. In that moment she no longer saw her childhood friend, but a man who grew into something much better than what she ever became. Of course he wouldn't understand where she was coming from and why she was so desperate.
