Celeste looked at the paper in Tiel's hand and felt slightly light-headed. All the emotions and thoughts of doubt, grief, and betrayal came in all at once.
First, the thought of Nirmala came to mind. The woman who had made her feel at home in the beginning. Who inspired her to be more than she thought she could be, opened the door to her finally living the life she didn't know she could live.
She thought then that must have been where the delusion had started. How she started to feel that somehow she had found a place in this new family. With it assuming and expecting them to think in her best interest when of course she was just someone they had added for a favour.
All this time, that illusion had slowly started to crack. With each disappointment, their image slowly distorting. This was the last force needed to completely break it.
