"Then, you won't mind if I decide to fill this place up with some life, will you?"
He looked at me puzzled for a second and asked, "What does that mean?"
His question somehow jabbed my heart but I didn't let it get to me and kept my smile up.
"Well, nothing deep," I said quickly. "Just that you shouldn't let all this space go to waste." I laughed and he looked away, almost embarrassed by the thought, or was it my smile?
In any case, I could see the tainted hue on that pale skin of his.
"You talk too much." He said.
"I know," I said with a grin, clutching his arm tighter. "But you don't talk enough, so it balances out."
He didn't reply, but he didn't pull away either.
We stood there on the stairs for a moment, each trying to understand the others intentions. He had it rougher than me since I had my goal set out while he was stuck in a loop he didn't understand.
