Chapter 82 - Episode 18 Dinner (Sequel)

Alpha still couldn't believe in Zero but Zero didn't want trust. He was just answering what was asked and he was straight to that.

"...I won't eat whatever you make...I am leaving this place..." Alpha said with fear and Zero smiled, cleaned the floor and started walking to the kitchen again and said, "As you wish, it's your choice."

And Alpha was left stunned...he wasn't even trying to stop her. If he did then she would definitely leave, but...things are different than what she assumed.

"Um... are you sure, you want me to leave?"

Zero gave a sigh, "When did I say to you to leave, you are saying to leave. I have just brought you here because you wouldn't have a place to live, and I am making food for you right now because I thought you would need fresh food. But if you want to leave, then go. I have no problem."

Alpha kept everything aside and said, "Ok ok, you are making meals for me, right?"

Zero smiled again, "If you want to eat, there will be. If you don't want to eat I will eat at morning as breakfast. I have no loss."

Alpha became angry with a sweat, "...So mean..."

Zero was a little bit confused, he doesn't understand what's Alpha even thinking, why she's so complex on her own thoughts and puzzling herself.

Zero wanted to say to Alpha to decide, but he also expected it to look like a pressure on her and she may deny and chooses to leave without understanding everything. Zero remain silent and Alpha thought.

"...He doesn't looks like a bad guy..." But suddenly she remembered how he was laughing on her when everyone have forgotten her, "...no, he's completely a bad person. How he can laugh on me like this? I can't believe in him or trust him."

While Alpha was thinking, Zero completed making the dinner, served on the paper plates and kept in front of Alpha and said, "Thank to God before eating. I hope you will like the dish."

Alpha came out of her thoughts and looked at the dish, it was...just crushed baked potatoes with some salt over it. She looked at Zero and he walked to the kitchen, took his chair to the kitchen counter and finally took off his mask and kept aside.

Alpha was just looking at him, but his face was still far away, Zero was still looking towards the wall.

Alpha looked at the dish, and she was left in thoughts again while Zero joined his hands and said, "Thanks for the meal" and he finally picked up a spoon and started having his dinner.

Alpha was surprised, she had almost forgotten that manner. Her parents used to always say that years ago, to thank to God for the food, but she guessed that it all ended when the Parasite took over their bodies.

Alpha joined her hands and with a low voice said it anyway, "...Thank you for the meal, lord..." And she picked up the spoon and took the piece of potato on the spoon...and started staring at it, she was still afraid if it would be...a human's flesh.

But suddenly she heard Zero chewing and she finally took the bite...and tears came in her eyes, the dish was better than whatever she has are till now, today. It was something she can call food, not humans.

"I have a manner to make voice while eating, so I am sorry for that...but I am eating like that only since I was born. You can eat in your bedroom if you are disturbed."

Alpha wasn't understanding, "Why are you treating me like that?"

Zero was confused, "...Huh?"

"Nevermind... it's good, and I don't mind if you make noise while eating. It's your way, you don't need to change yourself for others."

Zero laughed gently, but didn't say anything over it.

"And," And Alpha looked straight at Zero and said, "What do you mean by my bedroom? The house is yours, you have got for work then why are you giving it the name to me?"

"Because bedroom is not for me."

Alpha looked at Zero with anger.

"I mean, my work is at night, I have a nightshift. So I work at night, and bedroom is to sleep at night while my bedroom is empty. So if you will stay here, you will sleep there, don't you?"

Alpha smiled with a sweat, she realised that Screen and Zero have not much difference, they both explain in the worst way. But Alpha understood it, "So you don't sleep?"

"No, I sleep, but after work like at afternoon. But as bedroom is for night, I don't sleep there and I sleep at living room."

Alpha smiled with a sweat, "...You are an idiot...you know that."

The night continued, and Alpha was almost going to finish her dinner and Zero's dinner was completed and his head was down again, he was resting.

"Can I ask you a question, related to your job?" Alpha said and Zero still kept his head down but replied, "Ask."

"Why the organization just take all 50% humans and they eat all the parasites? Is it because identifying whether they are Parasites or humans hard?"

"If a normal human tries to consume a Parasite's soul, then the parasite will take over their body instead humans take over their soul. Parasite's soul is mostly dominating and your idea will increase the number of Parasites. For that only people like me are, I have a more powerful and dominating souls which can consume and seal the parasite's seal inside my soul. And those types of souls are rare actually. And about identifying, with dominating souls I have the ability to identify as well."

Alpha was surprised by hearing everything, she was now interested in it.

"How many souls, like yours, exist in the organization?"

"I don't know the accurate number, but I guess... 9, 10?"

And Alpha was shocked, "Just 10 can only do your job?!"
