With one of the four required animals already gathered, the group looks at each other, the moon shining onto them, barely able to penetrate the deep, overgrown jungle.
"We should split up, so we can cover a wider area. However, do not wander off too far. Let's arrange for a meeting in 2 hours," Benezia says, still looking at Alex's [Destiny Watch (Orbment) R2].
Alex stares at her, then at the watch, then at her again.
Benezia's face darkens as she reluctantly hands it back to Alex. "This is a rather useful item—make sure not to lose it."
The only way I can imagine losing it is if you steal it!
Princess Jewel will catch the largest prey!
"... Hopefully you do," Alex says, not taking the bait. "Just be careful! This is just a means to an end."
Tereza decides to fly into the air, "I'm playing guide. If I spot a target, I'll shoot some red sparks into the air. Feel free to approach my position at that point."
"Good idea," Alex says.
Flying is such an unfair ability! She can do anything she wants. That Devil Fruit turned out to be incredibly valuable... how easy would things be if I could fly like that? Maybe I was dumb not to consider it for myself. I was too greedy and wanted the absolutely strongest fruit. Perhaps that was a mistake. Utility is far more important than raw power and strength. How many opportunities did I miss? With so many opportunities, even if I find a better Unique Skill from an item, would it be worth it at that point?
"You are unexpectedly useful, even aside from your Devil Fruit. Color me impressed," Benezia says as she looks at Tereza.
"You ain't seen nothing yet," Tereza says with a grin. "Let's do this then!"
The human, the spider, the hybrid-human, and the Asari immediately speed up and vanish into the jungle.
Alex moves swiftly but carefully through the undergrowth of the foreign jungle.
I want to preserve some Aura, but I need to use En. It's worth the price to avoid getting ambushed. Also, I might miss what I'm after without it.
As the night prevents him from spotting most details, his high SNS still allows him to see and notice most details, allowing him to make his way through the forest, even without the constant use of En, though the dark jungle and sprouting plant life still present a large obstacle to him.
From time to time, he activates En to scan for hidden predators, but nothing of note appears.
These small animals, like lizards, are worthless. The giants won't care about them.
Alex suddenly turns and spots red sparks far in the distance.
Too far away. Might as well leave it to the others.
Moving on, Alex suddenly notices a medium-sized cave partially hidden by grass and trees growing over it.
Looks like I found something, let's see! Hopefully, something different than a stupid tiger is inside.
He steps inside and briefly uses En. His face turns serious: the cave isn't deep at all—his En already reaches the walls. Worse, he senses a giant Aura in the center of the hollow.
That's a huge bitch!
Alex studies the form slowly, slowly recognizing its identity.
Huge teeth, giant head, small front arms... yeah, it's a genuine Tyrannosaurus Rex. Damn, that thing is huge?! It seems even larger than it should be!
Looks like I win this contest... however, I don't have any grenades left. They would've been handy now. Time to do this the old-fashioned way. I'll just approach and pierce its neck. This should go smoothly, with Zetsu, I'm almost invisible.
Alex slips into Zetsu and draws his [Executioner's Blade R2] as he creeps toward the giant dinosaur, ready to strike and end it with one clean strike.
Before he can close the distance, his heart stops for a second—he sees the dinosaur opening its giant orange eyes and sniffing the air.
Shit! Zetsu does nothing to mask my smell! I'm discovered, if I wait any longer, it will find out I'm here. No time to hesitate—I can still get the first strike and surprise it!
Not hesitating any longer, Alex rushes towards the dinosaur, which is still lying on the floor, barely moving as it looks around, trying to find the source of the foreign smell.
He switches to Ren and focuses his Aura onto his blade using Shu.
Before he strikes at the Dinosaur, he also activates [Uzin's Rage], significantly raising his stats at the cost of a big chunk of HP.

The Dinosaur now tries to get up, but Alex quickly leaps into the air, forcefully swinging down his giant blade onto the Tyrannosaurus's neck.
Despite his perfect aim, Alex can feel the thick bones and muscles on its neck absorbing a lot of damage.

To Alex's shock, his blade is stuck in the panicking dinosaur's neck, which violently shakes its head around, spraying Alex with blood until the blade finally comes loose, throwing him towards the wall of the cave.
Just before Alex crashes into the wall, he activates his biotic power, Barrier.

Alex, despite taking no damage, is a little dazed as he hears the angry roars of the enraged Tyrannosaurus.
My boosted stats are about to run out. This Tyrannosaurus is strong... the log says it's a Matriarch? It's stronger than the one Sanji fought! I need to hurry before my stats normalize.
Alex, while sprinting at the bleeding beast, uses Warp, throwing a biotic orb of destruction towards the Dinosaur, hitting its head, causing it to rush towards the wall where Alex landed and crash its own head against it.

Jumping back in the air, Alex uses Fira Sword, slashing at the enraged dinosaur's neck.
Just as Alex's sword is about to hit its neck, it rushes to the side, causing Alex's strike to hit its back instead.

Alex carefully lands only to see the Tyrannosaurus spin in a circle, swinging its tail towards him.
Fuck! Ken!

As the tail slams against his barrier, Alex gets flung into the air, miraculously not hitting the wall, but getting thrown outside the cave, landing in the tall grass just outside.
The wounded Tyrannosaurus roars loudly and follows Alex outside.
With a quick use of Zetsu, Alex disappears in the brushes.
The Tyrannosaurus begins to wildly trample anything in its sight.
Alex, meanwhile, circles around it, deciding to play it safe, switching to his [Magoroth's Legacy R2].
He conjures a Magorian's Rage Arrow, enhances it with Ko, and uses Fira Arrow to fire a deadly flame arrow towards its neck.
By sheer instinct, the Tyrannosaurus moves before impact, managing to avoid a hit to its neck and getting struck in the shoulder instead.

The Tyrannosaurus turns towards the now exposed Alex, who follows up with another Warp, dealing devastating damage, despite hitting its stomach.

This ability is insane! It's so easy to deal reliable damage like that! The damage is also only partially blocked by its thick hide.
As the Tyrannosaurus rushes towards Alex, he decides to Conjure Thorian's Domination. A strange, almost demonic-looking helmet that seemingly made out of metal and living roots appearing over his [Visor of Pluto]. Just as the beast is about to make contact, he triggers the special ability of his Conjuration, firing Unleash Spores at the raging monster.
Alex then activates Ken and dodges to the side, taking no real damage as the dinosaur's leg brushes against him.

The Tyrannosaurus halts and spins in a circle, clearly confused, licking its own blood in a daze.
Alex seizes the moment and leaps onto its shoulders. Once again, he draws his [Executioner's Blade R2], focuses all his Aura into it with Ko, and drives it straight into the beast's neck—this time aiming to pierce rather than cut. The large blade cleanly pierces into its now relaxed neck, blood surging out of the fresh wound.

Alex exhales heavily as the giant creature collapses.
That was... insane. Biotics are really effective, but just two Warps and a Barrier have already worn me out a little. Still, this is far too addictive and more importantly, effective, not to use. It really feels like a true power-up—especially Barrier. Perfect to combine with my [Uzin's Rage].
He eyes the slain Tyrannosaurus Rex Matriarch, expecting a chest, but to his utter disappointment finds nothing.
How?! System, what's wrong?! Have you forgotten my LUK?
Deciding to ignore his frustration, he quickly begins butchering, once again using his [Butchering Knife], this time in combination with his [Executioner's Blade R2] to cut the corpse into parts small enough to fit into his inventory.
Fearing predators that might have heard the fight, Alex quickly cuts the beast into exactly twelve pieces—barely small enough to fit into his inventory. To his surprise, the system recognizes eleven parts as Deep Green and one part as Light Blue.
Not bad... so this wasn't for nothing. Let's leave... no! I have an idea.
With his prey stored away, Alex rushes back into the cave, once again using En.
This time, he pays closer attention—and finally notices something interesting.
He sees six large, round objects, where the Tyrannosaurus had lain earlier.
As he approaches, the system identifies them as [Tyrannosaurus Rex Egg]. The only information shown is that the eggs qualify as Deep Green.
With his inventory now full of valuable ingredients, Alex leaves the cave—half disappointed he didn't fulfill his mission, but still somewhat satisfied with the immense gains.
Menchi will probably kiss me when I tell her. I hope the others managed to find a few smaller dinosaurs or animals. It would be stupid if our plan fails because we all hunted prey that is too large.
