Chapter 356 - Chapter 357: Fulfillment

Time flies, and the days pass quickly.

Before long, more than half a month had gone by.

It was now early July.

That afternoon.

In a certain part of the forest.

A sound of fighting could be heard.

Looking toward the sound, two figures were seen tangled in battle. One of them was Qingming, and the other was Uchiha Tetsuka.

Qingming wielded a long sword and moved like a shadow, appearing around Uchiha Tetsuka's front, back, and sides at intervals.

Uchiha Tetsuka activated his Sharingan to the fullest and tried his best to track Qingming's every move, continuously blocking with his kunai.

Clang, clang, clang~

The sound of the long sword clashing with the kunai rang out in a series of sharp metallic noises.

However, prolonged defense inevitably leads to failure, and Uchiha Tetsuka's passive defense could not hold up for long.

About five minutes into the fight, Qingming seized an opportunity, adjusting the direction with his "Instant Sword Technique" and used "Illusionary Sword Technique" to disrupt Tetsuka's senses.

Then, he struck with a sword, pressing it against Tetsuka's throat.

Sensing the sharpness of the blade at his throat, Uchiha Tetsuka immediately halted and froze, not daring to move.

Seeing this, Qingming twisted his wrist and sheathed his sword.

Uchiha Tetsuka finally moved, putting down his kunai with a deep sigh. He said, "Sigh, Qingming, how do you practice? I've been working hard all this time too, but it feels like the gap between us is getting wider."

Upon hearing this, Qingming smiled without responding. What could he say? Should he say, "Brother, don't push yourself too hard, I'm using hacks!"

Although that's the truth, he couldn't say it out loud.

Moreover, he wasn't getting results without effort. Every point of proficiency on his panel had been earned through his own sweat.

So, calling it "hacking" wouldn't be right.

The panel might have played a small role, but that was all.

Of course, he didn't need to explain. Having spent so much time with Tetsuka, Qingming knew he was just venting and not actually probing his secret.

If he were truly investigating, Qingming would have already sent him to the Pure Land.

The panel was, after all, a secret just behind his time travel. He wouldn't let anyone pry into it.

Just as Qingming was thinking this, Uchiha Tetsuka seemed to have remembered something and suddenly leaned in closer, speaking in a mysterious tone, "Qingming, have you heard about something?"

"What is it?" Qingming replied nonchalantly.

"About Kakashi, the disciple of the Jonin Minato, who recently transplanted a Sharingan from our clan," Uchiha Tetsuka said.

That was correct. Things had developed just as Qingming had predicted—or rather, just as they had in his past life.

Iwagakure had indeed bypassed Konoha's stronghold in the Land of Rain and launched a surprise attack on the border of the Land of Fire.

The Konoha defense forces stationed there had almost been wiped out. It was only because Minato arrived in time that the invasion was repelled.

But this merely delayed Iwagakure's progress. It didn't stop them from continuing their push into the country.

In an effort to buy more time to mobilize troops, Konoha devised a plan to destroy Iwagakure's key supply route—the Kaminobi Bridge.

A week ago, under the cover of several teams, Minato's team successfully infiltrated the rear of Iwagakure's occupied area and reached Kaminobi Bridge.

The details of the battle Qingming didn't know, but the outcome was just like in his past life. Uchiha Obito "sacrificed" himself, and Nohara Rin, following his final wish, transplanted his Sharingan into Kakashi, granting him one of the Uchiha clan's eyes.

Perhaps as a way to boost morale and help Minato gain more recognition, the story of two heroes with Sharingan quickly spread far and wide—even reaching Qingming, who was far from the scene.

"But is there something wrong with this?" Qingming thought, confused. He then looked at Uchiha Tetsuka and asked, "I've heard of this. What's the matter?"

Uchiha Tetsuka looked around to ensure no one was listening, and then spoke in a lowered voice, "I've heard some people in the clan are not happy that Kakashi got the Sharingan. They're apparently looking for a way to take it back."

Upon hearing this, Qingming suddenly realized.

It made sense. After all, the Hyuga clan had gone to great lengths to prevent the Byakugan from leaking out. As a peer to the Sharingan, it was only natural that the Uchiha clan wouldn't be happy to see one of their eyes in the hands of an outsider.

Even though Kakashi claimed the eye was a gift from Uchiha Obito, it didn't matter.

The voices within the clan seeking to reclaim the eye were completely understandable.

However, Qingming knew this would not succeed.

Forget the fact that, according to his past life's memories, Kakashi would still be using the eye many years later, the presence of Minato alone was enough to ensure Kakashi's protection.

As long as Minato emphasized that the Sharingan was Obito's dying wish and a symbol of the war hero's sacrifice, and with the village needing heroes to rally behind, the Uchiha clan would have no way to reclaim the Sharingan—unless they were willing to carry the shame of bullying a war hero.

Clearly, the Uchiha clan would never want that kind of reputation.

Moreover, even though Hatake Sakumo had died, as the legendary Konoha White Fang, his connections still existed.

For various reasons, many people who respected him might not publicly voice their opinions, but they would definitely help Kakashi in secret.

Given this, the Uchiha clan would never be able to take back the eye.

Uchiha Tetsuka didn't know what Qingming was thinking and continued, "If you ask me, those people in the clan are being unreasonable. It's just one eye. Since Obito gave it to Kakashi willingly, what's the point of taking it back?"

"Moreover, without the Uchiha bloodline, Kakashi won't be able to fully utilize the Sharingan. There's really no need to make enemies over something so trivial."

Hearing Uchiha Tetsuka's words, Qingming was somewhat surprised and glanced at him.

He had expected Tetsuka to side with the more radical faction, but to his surprise, he seemed to understand things quite clearly.

Indeed, without the Uchiha bloodline, the Sharingan would be significantly weaker in Kakashi's hands.

Insisting on taking it back would not only be unwise, but it would also alienate others.

Sure, reclaiming the eye could preserve the Uchiha clan's honor and deter others from eyeing their eyes, but it would also generate resentment among many.

After all, Kakashi wasn't an outsider, but a hero of the village. The Uchiha clan's actions would not inspire solidarity, but would likely lead to negative feelings.

On the other hand, giving up on reclaiming the eye might even improve the clan's reputation.

When comparing the two, the choice was clear.

Qingming guessed that in the previous timeline, Uchiha Fugaku must have thought the same thing and suppressed the voices within the clan, ultimately abandoning the idea of taking the eye back.

'It's probably going to be the same in this life.' Qingming thought to himself.

In front of him, Uchiha Tetsuka, feeling uneasy under Qingming's gaze, quickly asked, "What? Qingming, do you have a different opinion?"

"No." Qingming shook his head and replied, "You're right."

"Then do you think the clan leader will agree with those people's proposal to take the Sharingan back?" Uchiha Tetsuka asked again.

"No!" Qingming answered firmly.

"Why?" Uchiha Tetsuka asked.

"Because if you can see through it, the clan leader definitely can too," Qingming replied.

After speaking, he no longer paid attention to Tetsuka, instead raising his hands and forming the 'Ren' hand seal to perform a jutsu—Shadow Clone Technique!
