-----------------

Once Alakazam received Sato's promise, it immediately used Teleport to leave the secret chamber and raced through Misty Fog Forest toward its secluded hideout.

It wasn't fleeing—it was retrieving the materials it had long since collected to help boost the efficacy of the Wisdom Seeds.

Indeed, Alakazam had always been deliberately collecting such auxiliary ingredients. Over time, it had accumulated a decent stock, and now was the perfect opportunity to use them.

In fact, the reason Sato was willing to make such a major concession was closely tied to these special supplementary materials Alakazam possessed, which could enhance the effectiveness of the Wisdom Seeds.

Roughly seven to eight minutes later, Alakazam returned to the secret space carrying a pile of flowers, herbs, and berries that Sato didn't recognize.

"These are the basic steps. As long as you blend the auxiliary ingredients with the Wisdom Seeds properly, the Seeds' effects will be significantly improved. Also, pay attention to ...."

Then, over the next five or six minutes, Alakazam used telepathy to explain in detail how to enhance the effects of the Seeds.

"You could've just said to grind the stuff with the Wisdom Seeds into a powder, then simmer it all together into a potion. Why go through the whole monologue?"

After listening to Alakazam's lengthy explanation, Sato couldn't help but retort with a hint of exasperation.

"Hmph. I've said what I needed to say. Now hand over my Wisdom Seeds."

Hearing Sato's dismissive tone, Alakazam grew irritated and immediately tried to use Telekinesis to levitate eight Wisdom Seeds off the table.

"Not happening. Once your method is proven effective, I'll give you the reward. Rushing only leads to regret."

Sato's face immediately darkened. He coldly warned Alakazam, who still hadn't fully grasped its current situation.

Not only had it shown no gratitude for being rescued, it continued to act arrogant simply because it was a high-level Psychic-type Pokémon. Sato found this attitude increasingly unpleasant.

In terms of emotional intelligence, Sato actually thought Natu was leagues better.

At that moment, Swampert and Crobat also glared coldly at Alakazam—Crobat had already successfully used Taunt on it once again.

Sensing the hostile intent from Sato, Swampert, and Crobat, the previously disgruntled Alakazam finally snapped back to its senses.

Though still annoyed, it wisely halted its use of Telekinesis and obediently stepped aside.

Once Sato saw it back off, he waved to Swampert and Crobat to stop and turned his attention to the pile of auxiliary ingredients Alakazam had brought.

Although Alakazam had exceptional intelligence, it wasn't human. It couldn't manufacture or operate complex scientific instruments to synthesize advanced potions.

So, its method of enhancing the Seeds' effects relied entirely on primitive techniques: identifying natural herbs and fruits that complemented the Seeds, grinding them all into powder, and simmering them to create a basic potion.

Alakazam called the resulting concoction a Tranquilizing Tonic.

After hearing this rudimentary method, a different idea sparked in Sato's mind—why not use the technique for making PokeBlocks to blend the Wisdom Seeds with the auxiliary materials?

After all, PokeBlocks were created by highly refining and blending the essences of various Berries. The first step of Alakazam's potion-making was conceptually similar—but compared to making PokeBlocks, Alakazam's technique was clearly cruder.

Therefore, Sato believed that by adapting the PokeBlock method for the initial blending stage, he could create an even more effective Tranquilizing Tonic.

Without hesitation, Sato retrieved the high-end portable Berry Mixer that Wallace had gifted him (solar-powered) and placed one Wisdom Seed along with some auxiliary materials inside to begin processing.

Having long since mastered the PokeBlock process, Sato quickly refined a batch of energy blocks unlike any other.

These were clearly not Berry-based PokeBlocks. Likely due to the concentrated Wisdom Lotus essence, they were translucent and emitted a soft pink glow.

Using his system's appraisal ability, Sato analyzed this new type of PokeBlock—and what he discovered thrilled him:

...…

Item:Unknown PokeBlock

Effects:

1) Increases the user's mental power by 2–12 points.

2) Slightly repairs deep mental trauma.

Restrictions:

i) Only usable by beings with innate mental power ≥ 10.

ii) Repeated use will cause diminishing returns on Effect 1. (Effect 1 does not activate if user's mental power ≥ 200)

Description: A PokeBlock made with Wisdom Seed as the primary ingredient, supplemented with rare auxiliary materials. Its highly condensed form gives it significantly stronger effects than ordinary Wisdom Seeds.

...…

"My instincts were right. Only through deep processing can the Wisdom Seeds' effects be truly enhanced—not only did the mental power cap boost gain 2 extra points, but the trauma repair effect also improved."

Looking at the pink-glowing PokeBlock in his hand, Sato was overcome with excitement.

Even more thrilling—one Wisdom Seed and a single portion of auxiliary ingredients could produce three such potent PokeBlocks.

Soon after, Sato hesitated—should he proceed with the final simmering step from Alakazam's method?

But that hesitation didn't last long. He decided to try it out.

He pulled a glass bottle and an alcohol lamp from his storage backpack, tossed the three Unknown PokeBlocks into the bottle, and lit the lamp to begin crafting Alakazam's so-called Tranquilizing Tonic.

Perhaps the materials were too pure, or maybe his timing was just a little off—Sato failed three times in a row, each failure more painful than the last.

Finally, under Alakazam's guidance, he succeeded in producing the first bottle of Tranquilizing Tonic.

"My goodness… this is unbelievable! Human, how in the world did you do this? It's far purer than any tonic I've ever made—it's… beautiful."

Alakazam stared in awe at the pink, transparent liquid glowing faintly in Sato's hand, his face a mixture of shock and disbelief. His voice echoed in Sato's mind via telepathy.

"This my friend.... is the wisdom of humanity."

Carefully holding the glass vial, Sato responded with pride at the stunned look on Alakazam's face.

Then he used the system's appraisal ability again—this time, the information made his heart race even faster than when he analyzed the unknown PokeBlock.

...…

Item:Tranquilizing Tonic

Effects:

1) Increases the user's mental power by 5–15 points.

2) Slightly repairs deep mental trauma.

Limitations:

i) Only usable by beings with innate mental power ≥ 10.

ii) Repeated use will cause diminishing returns on Effect 1. (Effect 1 does not activate if user's mental power ≥ 200)

Description: The crystallization of wisdom.

...…

From the data, it was obvious—the Tranquilizing Tonic was significantly more effective than the Unknown PokeBlock. The upper limit of the mental power increase was 3 points higher, a massive improvement over eating the Wisdom Seeds raw.

This meant Sato now had a much better chance of significantly boosting his mental power without worrying about the diminishing return penalty from eating seven or eight raw Wisdom Seeds without much result.

Because of that restriction, if Sato had poor luck, even consuming all of his Wisdom Seeds might only raise his mental power by 70 or 80 points at best.

But now, with the help of the Tranquilizing Tonic, Sato finally saw hope of breaking past 100 points in mental power.

And once his mental power exceeded 100, he would no longer be a mere apprentice-level psychic—but officially step into the ranks of Beginner Psychics, gaining the ability to truly defend himself.

...…

Note: For a quick recap in case you guys forgot, psychics are divided into the following ranks -

Apprentice: 10 to 100

Beginner: 100 to 500

Intermediate: 500 to 5,000

Advanced: 5,000 to 20,000
