Under the scorching sun, both Bellossom and Shiny Beautifly, with the Chlorophyll ability, saw their speed skyrocket. Especially after stacking Quiver Dance six times, they became the fastest forces on the battlefield.
At this point, the two of them moved like streaks of light, weaving through the enemy's backlines in the blink of an eye.
Before the enemies could even react, they gracefully dodged a flurry of concentrated attacks with an elegant, fluid rhythm—like Vannaflies dancing in the rain without ever getting wet.
In the end, many of the enemy's attacks hit their own allies, immediately throwing their formation into chaos.
Under Sato's command, the duo began by using their overwhelming speed to scatter Stun Spore across the battlefield. Once the enemies were paralyzed en masse, they launched a systematic and relentless sweep.
Cries of pain and panic echoed nonstop through the enemy's rear lines as Bellossom and the Shiny Beautifly zipped through like reapers.
"Gulp—n…"
"This is insane. How can that Bellossom and Beautifly be so fast? They're practically holding down a quarter of the enemy forces on their own, and their sweep efficiency is even higher than Lord Tomoki's Garchomp!"
"Sure, type advantage plays a role, but this kind of sustained offensive is terrifying. It feels like, given enough time, just those two could wipe out hundreds of enemies by themselves!"
"Who is this guy, really? Why was he so unknown until now? First there was that Swampert strong enough to rival pseudo-legendary Pokémon, and now even these two—clearly not his strongest—are overwhelming. He's terrifying. I can never afford to make an enemy of him."
…
On the battlefield, many of the Team Rocket elite recruits were left stunned as they watched Bellossom and the Shiny Beautifly run rampant. They couldn't help but swallow nervously, minds reeling with shock.
These Rocket elites had survived the grueling island survival trial, so their Pokémon were no pushovers. Each one was at least level 45 or higher, with enough strength to fight ten—or even twenty—enemies at once.
Yet when they asked themselves honestly, not a single one could say their Pokémon could do what Bellossom and the Shiny Beautifly were doing—facing down hundreds alone.
And it wasn't just "one versus a hundred."
The two Pokémon were absorbing a quarter of the battlefield's firepower and were still completely unscathed. Combined, they had already taken down over 400 Sandile.
"This guy's insane… Is he not worried his Pokémon will be targeted and taken out?"
Ailes floated in midair with psychic power, watching from above as Sato commanded his Pokémon to blitz through the enemy. Every charge resulted in the defeat of dozens. He, too, was shaken.
But when he saw that, instead of being overwhelmed, the two Pokémon seemed to grow stronger with each clash—hounding the enemy relentlessly—his shock deepened into awe.
Especially when he saw the Shiny Beautifly glowing constantly with Protect, Ailes's expression turned grim. From this beautiful Vannafly, he sensed a deadly threat.
"Living on the edge, huh? No wonder his strength improved so fast. With that kind of wild fighting style, of course his Pokémon evolved quickly. Compared to him, I'm soft."
Tomoki had just ordered his Garchomp to defeat another Krookodile. Shifting his attention to Sato, he couldn't help but offer a wry smile upon seeing the brilliant performance of Sato's two Pokémon.
"Tch, nothing special. Sceptile, don't just stand there—get in there and fight! You've got what it takes. Don't let those two hog all the glory."
Vanna scowled at her own Sceptile, clearly annoyed at being outshined, and pointed toward the fray.
The Sceptile—who already had a record of over a hundred KO's—showed a helpless expression but didn't dare disobey. Bracing itself, it charged into the densely packed Sandile horde like a warrior heading to its last battle.
After all, unlike Bellossom and Beautifly, it didn't have blazing speed or agile maneuvers. Charging in headfirst might very well get it obliterated within seconds.
Meanwhile, Rin hovered above the chaotic battlefield on her Salamence. But her gaze remained fixed on Sato and his two Pokémon below.
"Too fast… and too dangerous. This guy can't be allowed to live. He'll be a major threat in the future."
Rin clenched her fists tightly, eyes filled with murderous intent. Her face was twisted with complex emotions, already regretting ever picking a fight with Sato.
"Damn it… He hid his strength way too well."
She seethed inwardly. If he hadn't concealed his power so well, her intelligence network never would've made the mistake of targeting a madman like him.
Sato, meanwhile, paid no attention to the looks or judgments of others. He had Flygon circling in the sky, tracking Bellossom and Beautifly as he directed them with full concentration.
At the same time, he kept a firm grip on the PokéBalls of Swampert and Shiny Gyarados—ready to deploy them at any sign of danger or misstep.
The battle raged for over half an hour. Eventually, under the fierce counterattacks of the elite Team Rocket Pokémon, the vicious Sandile horde finally broke. Unable to bear any more casualties, they began to retreat.
The ruins exploration team had secured final victory.
It's worth noting that the retreat signal came from the area being decimated by Bellossom and Beautifly.
After losing over six hundred members to the duo's relentless assault, the cunning desert predators finally lost their nerve and fled in terror. In essence, they had been scared off by just two crazily boosted Pokémon.
With the battle over, the Rocket members began tending their wounds and sweeping the battlefield.
Sato was no exception. He fed both Bellossom and Beautifly some gem-grade PokeBlocks to quickly restore their energy, then returned them to their PokéBalls. After that, he began wandering the battlefield with Thomas, looking for suitable spoils.
During this time, every Team Rocket recruit who crossed paths with Sato quickly paused and lowered their heads, expressions filled with deep reverence.
After this battle, everyone in the expedition team now fully understood Sato's strength.
And they also understood—this man was both ruthless… and insane.
