Lucas turned, his eyes scanning the battlefield. The room was chaos—Franky trading blows with Kumashii, Robin's arms blooming across the walls to intercept Perona's ghosts, and Luffy locked in a relentless clash with Moria's shadow. The golden armor Lucas had enchanted shimmered with each movement, stretching seamlessly with Luffy's rubber body. But no matter how many punches Luffy landed, the shadow reformed, slithering back into shape like smoke refusing to be scattered.
Luffy gritted his teeth, his fists a blur. "Gum-Gum Jet Bazooka!" he roared, launching both arms forward with explosive force. The impact sent Moria's shadow flying into a pillar, cracking the stone. But as the dust settled, the shadow reassembled, its jagged grin mocking him. Luffy dashed in again, twisting mid-air, his armor flexing with his body as he spun into a Gum-Gum Golden Whip, slamming the shadow across the floor. Yet again, it melted and reformed, wrapping around his legs like tar.
Luffy struggling to break free, the shadow tightening like a serpent. His eyes blazing with frustration. "You're just a puppet!" he shouted, stretching his legs and launching into a Gum-Gum Golden Stamp, crashing down with a seismic boom. The floor cracked beneath the force, sending shockwaves through the chamber. But the shadow slithered away, reforming behind him and striking with a tendril that sliced through the air.
Lucas narrowed his eyes. "He's stalling," he muttered. Then he noticed something—Moria was gone.
Without hesitation, Lucas activated the Omnitrix. In a flash of blue light, he transformed into XLR8, his sleek, velociraptor-like form blurring into motion. The world slowed around him as he zipped through the mansion's winding halls, past shattered doors and flickering torches. He darted through the library, the lab, and the bone-choked crypts, scanning every room with pinpoint precision.
Then, in a massive freezer chamber, Lucas skidded to a halt. The air was frigid, his breath crystallizing instantly. At the center stood Oz's massive corpse, frozen in a block of ice. And beside it—Gecko Moria, grinning as he worked a control panel. Lucas's eyes narrowed. "He's trying to reanimate Oz again…"
Before Moria could react, Lucas transformed into NRG, his nuclear-powered suit clanking as he raised both arms. A beam of concentrated radiation blasted from his chest, striking Oz's right arm and blowing it clean off. Ice shattered, steam hissed. Lucas aimed at Moria, but the warlord smirked and swapped places with his shadow, vanishing.
"Ugh, missed," Lucas muttered, unfazed as Moria's shadow lunged at him. The tendrils struck his armor with no effect, bouncing off the reinforced shell. "Not interested in playing with shadows," he said calmly. Then, crouching low, he launched upward, morphing mid-air into Astrodactyl. A sonic boom echoed as his propulsion system ignited, shaking the chamber and flinging the shadow off him.
From high above, Lucas spotted the battlefield. Moria's size was increasing rapidly, his body swelling grotesquely. "Guess he used his trump card," Lucas muttered. He soared higher, then dove like a meteor, morphing mid-flight into a fusion of Cannonbolt and Way Big. His body curled into a massive armored sphere, spinning with devastating momentum.
BOOOOM! Lucas struck Moria from behind, sending the warlord stumbling forward. Moria snarled, his voice booming. "What the hell was that?! You oversized bowling ball!"
Lucas uncurled, landing with a grin. "Just a little wake-up call."
Luffy stepped forward, steam rising from his body. "I'll take it from here," he said, voice low and determined. "You step back."
Lucas nodded, reverting to his human form. "Don't hold back."
Luffy crouched, veins bulging as he activated Gear Second. His skin flushed red, steam billowing around him. The golden armor shimmered, adapting to his enhanced speed. Moria, now in Shadow's Asgard form, loomed like a titan—his body fused with hundreds of shadows, muscles bulging, eyes glowing with dark energy.
Moria laughed, his voice distorted. "You think you can beat me now, Straw Hat? I am the embodiment of darkness!"
Luffy didn't flinch. "Then I'll punch through the dark."
Final Battle: Luffy vs. Moria (Shadow's Asgard)
Luffy dashing forward, the floor cracking beneath his feet. His fist igniting with Haki as he launched a Gum-Gum Jet Pistol, striking Moria's chest. The impact sent ripples through the warlord's massive frame, but he barely flinched.
Moria countered, swinging a shadow-formed axe. Luffy ducked, sliding under the blow and launching into a Gum-Gum Jet Spear, piercing through the shadow mass. The shadows screamed, recoiling. Luffy twisted mid-air, spinning into a Golden Whip Barrage, his armor extending with each strike, slamming Moria from all sides.
Moria roared, summoning a tidal wave of shadows that surged forward like a tsunami. Luffy braced, then leapt high, dodging the wave with a mid-air somersault. He landed behind Moria and delivered a Gum-Gum Red Hawk, the flaming punch exploding against Moria's back. The shadows hissed, retreating momentarily.
Luffy's face, sweat dripping, eyes locked. "I'm not done yet!"
Moria turned, enraged, and unleashed a Shadow Guillotine, a massive blade of darkness descending. Luffy activated Gear Third, inflating his arm to colossal size. "Gum-Gum Giant Golden Hammer!" he shouted, slamming the shadow blade and shattering it in a burst of light and smoke.
Luffy, panting, steam rising, charges one last time. "Gum-Gum King Kong Gun!" His fist, now massive and glowing, collided with Moria's chest. The impact created a shockwave that shattered windows, cracked walls, and sent Moria flying through the throne room.
Moria crashed into the far wall, shadows peeling off his body like smoke. He slumped, defeated, his form shrinking back to normal.
Luffy stood tall, steam fading, armor gleaming. "That's for every shadow you stole."
Lucas walked up beside him, arms crossed. "Nice punch."
Robin and Franky joined them, the room quieting as the dust settled. The battle was over. Shadows returning to their original hosts.
