The steel door slid closed behind him and Kit flinched at the cacophony of sound emitting from the kitchen area. When he reached the partition wall he took another deep breath to calm his heart.
'I can't let him keep pretending, even if he hates me for this.'
Casimir had thrown away the ruined pans and was currently flitting from cupboard to cupboard in a whir of motion, attempting to find replacements and mumbling incoherently underneath his breath:
"...just need to do this and then...and then...then fine...it'll be fine."
When he bent towards the oven a strong, muscular arm shot out and caught him around the waist, pulling him away and Kit's husky voice was in his ear, "Stop...stop it. Enough, Cas."
Casimir struggled in his arm and Kit wrapped another around him, pulling him away from the kitchen and over to the wall.
