In the years that followed the signing of the treaty, Noe didn't see Yri again, but messages arrived nonetheless.
When the first flashed onto his commlink, he had scoffed in derision at the way in which she had worded it. Rather than a demand for him to follow a specific course of action, she had only informed him of her own movements with a short note at the end, which read:
Do what you will.
Ren and Erik both had chuckled in amusement at this simple statement.
'Who's learning their place now, hmm? Seems as though she had her own lesson in humility.' Erik mused, haughtily.
Noe ignored them both and stared down at that last line with a complicated expression when the memory of his own words repeated back at him, 'I want to kill them all...because I want to...because I will it.'
Had she used that line intentionally?
