As a young child, Noe Jin had always lived by his own will.
In his early years, those around him swiftly abandoned the idea of any attempt to control him. Stubborn and recalcitrant, he refused to do what others demanded of him. Even his own voice that had whispered with quiet and demanding maliciousness inside of his mind.
He had heard it for as long as he could remember and had never understood why he was the only one that could.
Why did nobody else ever say that they could hear a voice in their mind telling them to do terrible things?
He wasn't averse to following the demands that it made but Noe resented any thought that he was going against his own will. And so, he pushed it down, back into a far, dark corner of his mind and allowed it to grow quieter.
