The sun's rays shine through the grey curtains. His eyes flutter against each other before he opens them fully. Alex shifted to make himself comfortable; however, he felt a warm body beside him. He looked down and pulled her closer. Last night was it. They are officially married, and nothing can come between them. He planted soft kisses on her face. She was finally his—and nobody's. Avery groaned, making Alex chuckle. His finger moved the strange hair covering her face.
" Baby, babe. Wake up."
Avery furrowed her brows in her sleep before she hummed.
Alex rolled his eyes at her. He traced his fingers on her face.
" Go away," Avery muttered
After a few attempts, Avery woke up. She stared at the man beside her with a quizzical expression. She blinked a couple of times before she could fully regain her sight.
"I'll be back," Alex told her.
She nodded, and the door clicked gently against the wall. She raised herself and rested her head on the headboard. She nibbled with her lips. She did that. She gave herself to him. She buried her face in her palm. The door clicked open. Her gaze was fixed on Alex. He had closed the door with his foot since her was holding a mini table with food on it.
" Good morning, babe." he grinned from ear to ear.
Avery raised her brows and greeted back.
" I brought breakfast."
Avery flinched when she heard that. She had promised herself she wasn't going to sacrifice her stomach in any circumstances. Her movement didn't go unnoticed. He shifted himself from one foot to another. He'd traumatised his girl with his cooking.
" D… don't worry, the chef made this," Alex exclaimed.

Avery fetched a half spoon of porridge, she stared at it for a while before it made its way to her mouth.
*********
"Ahh" Avery's hand rested on her stuffed stomach.
Did was what she needed. Breakfast in bed. She turned her head to the other side. They needed to talk. Not only about last night but also about Charles.
Alex raised his head away from his laptop. He smiled at her.
"You're done," he asked.
Avery nodded. She pushed the table to the other side and made herself comfortable in the bed.
" We need to talk, Alex."
His fingers trembled. He pulled his hands away from the keyboard and shut the laptop. He knew what she was going to say and he didn't want to hear it. He cleared his throat and said;
" Why don't you take a bath then we can talk."
Avery studied his face. If that's what he wanted then sure.
" Please excuse me," Avery said
Alex raised his brows and smirked;
" What? I've seen and touched every part of you."
Avery growled as her face flushed with embarrassment.
