Avery hugged herself. The fire from the bonfire emits the warmth she needs. It was the sixth day. The last day of this holiday. She planned to have peace with her and her husband, but life had other plans for her. She kept seeing Veronica everywhere, and it was driving her insane.
"You're saying that bitch is still alive?" Suzzy asked.
Avery nodded and hugged herself tighter. If her husband wouldn't believe her, maybe her friends would. She had had enough of Alex's questionable gaze. She knew how she saw and who spoke to her in the guest bathroom.
"You also think I'm exhausted?" Avery asked.
"No,no, girl. I don't. Why would I?"
Avery lowered her head and murmured.
"Alex thinks I'm making this up. He thinks I'm exhausted from this trip"
"That son of a bitch!" Erica scoffed. "How dare he? You're his wife. Why would you lie to him?"
Suzzy sighed and hugged her friend.
"Don't worry, you don't need him to believe you. We do." Suzzy reassured her
"We need a plan and evidence to lure her out and know her plan."
"I've a plan," Erica exclaimed
They scooped closer, and Erica whispered her plan to her. Not far from them. A shadow stood behind a tree and smirked.

He downed the third shot of whisky before he slammed it on the table.
Samuel filled his glass.
"What's wrong, man?" He questioned Alex
He pulled the strands of his hair and replied.
"I'm just thinking."
" About what? Veronica?" Samuel asked.
Alex looked flabbergasted.
"You know?"
Sam nodded and said, "Suzzy told me last night. She also said you don't believe your wife."
Alex's demeanour changed. He didn't say he doesn't believe his wife. He believes her. He diverted his gaze to Stefan.
"Erica said the same thing."
Alex brushed his hand in his hair and sighed.
"I believe her. She's my wife. Why wouldnt i beleive her? She has never lied to me before. And I know she wouldn't joke about Veronica."
"So what's the problem?" Stefan asked
"Its just that. Veronica died years ago. The building collapsed on her body. There's no way she might survive."
"Did you find her body?"
"No, it's just -
"Then she is alive."
Samuel slapped Alex's shoulder and stood up from the stool.
"Its settled then. We have to tighten the security around the girls."
