Chapter 544 - Chapter 544

Paying little attention to the unfolding plot, Hui had focused all his attention on the study of Reiryoku.

As his research deepened, he found this power increasingly intriguing.

Of course, intriguing as it was, this power still paled in comparison to the Primordial Qi within his own body.

Inside a certain villa in Karakura Town, Hui, engrossed in his research, suddenly paused, a smile spreading across his face.

"After all this time, is it finally nearing completion?"

He murmured to himself, his eyes filled with anticipation. At his current level, very few things could arouse his anticipation, but now, not only was he anticipating, but he was eager as well.

Because he had just discovered that the assimilation of his spiritual power was nearing its end!

He couldn't help but feel this anticipation, even feeling a surge of excitement.

The assimilation of power had always been the most crucial aspect of his growth.

From light in the beginning, to Space he last assimilated, each assimilation brought about a qualitative leap in his existence, a transformation.

And this time, he was assimilating the power of the spirit!

After undergoing numerous bodily transformations, Hui's physical body had long surpassed the limitations of humans, his life essence having ascended to a higher level.

Compared to humans, he was more akin to a god in their eyes.

Yet, he still didn't consider himself a true god. In Hui's view, true godhood would be attained only after his spirit and body were unified, transcending together to the next level.

And now, this transcendence was within reach.

Hui eagerly waited to understand what a true god would be like,.

"After assimilating spiritual power, with my strength, sweeping aside the Otsutsuki Clan should be a simple matter... But there's no rush.

"The Otsutsuki Clan should be left to Kakashi and the younger generation. I believe this clan will serve as a good catalyst for their growth."

Thinking of Otsutsuki Clan in the Naruto world, a glint flashed in Hui's eyes.

Though he outwardly dismissed the Otsutsuki Clan, inwardly, he still held a certain degree of apprehension towards them.

For this clan was simply too mysterious.

And their power was too terrifying.

Despite the fact that in the original story, those few Otsutsuki members were ultimately defeated, their actual power wasn't fully displayed.

But just by examining their abilities, one could understand how formidable this clan truly was.

Natural elements like wind, rain, thunder, and lightning were mere playthings in their hands.

Space-Time Ninjutsu for teleportation and movement were abundant, and they didn't lack mental attacks either.

But their most terrifying aspect was their power over time!

This power could even allow them to return to the past and alter history!

Apart from the power of time, Hui didn't know if they possessed other, even more terrifying abilities, what kind of capabilities they held.

Did they perhaps have beings that transcended the physical realm, whose power reached the level of manipulating the laws of reality?

If that were the case, Hui wouldn't know how to cope.

This was why Hui hadn't actively sought them out, instead waiting for Kinshiki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki to come to them.

"Assimilating spiritual power alone isn't enough. After assimilating spiritual power, if I can further assimilate the power of time, then I should truly be invincible."

Murmuring to himself, Hui once again solidified his choice for the next energy to assimilate.

"I need to find time to go back. Once the final assimilation begins, I don't know if I'll fall into a deep sleep.

"If I fall asleep in this world and something happens in the Naruto world...

"I'll go after the Bleach storyline ends. Anyway, the time span of this plot isn't very long."

Setting aside his research on Reiryoku, Hui's thoughts flickered, and he vanished from the spot.

When he reappeared, he was beside Ichigo Kurosaki.

Ichigo was currently battling a Hollow, protecting the city, fulfilling his duties as a Substitute Shinigami.

Hui chose not to intervene, not even revealing himself.

He simply remained hidden, watching the battle unfold with keen interest.

It wasn't that the fight was particularly spectacular.

For Hui, a battle of this level was like a world champion boxer watching two toddlers brawl. It was, at most, mildly amusing.

His interest stemmed from viewing this battle as a live-action version of an anime, reminiscing about the feeling of watching anime as an ordinary person.

"Ichigo seems to be following the path of the original story. Is it that the world hasn't changed enough for the plot to change? Or is it fate's correction... Then, how will Aizen's storyline be corrected?"

Hui pondered, his curiosity piqued.

Due to his influence, Aizen had betrayed Soul Society earlier to pursue the Hogyoku. A while ago, he even fought Kisuke Urahara and seemed to have won.

He wondered if Aizen had obtained the Hogyoku.

Thinking of the Reiatsu fluctuations in Karakura Town a few days ago, the corners of Hui's lips curled upwards.

He hadn't gone to observe that battle because his research had reached a critical juncture.

Compared to the ownership of the Hogyoku, Hui considered his research more important at the time.

Besides, having everything under control wasn't necessarily a good thing.

It would rob him of anticipation for the future.

And one of the most important things in life was hope, the anticipation for the future.

When one could see through all of the future, perhaps the entire world would lose its charm.

Hui was destined to experience this, as he would assimilate the power of time, seeing through all of the past and future.

But he didn't want to experience it so soon. In this remaining time, he didn't even want to scheme or plan anymore, but rather enjoy this brief period where the future held infinite possibilities.

Before long, the battle between Ichigo and the Hollow concluded.

Ichigo won with great difficulty, sustaining considerable injuries.

But this was undoubtedly a opportunity to grow for him.

Only through countless battles, defeating one powerful enemy after another, could he become the protagonist capable of defeating Yhwach in the future.

However, all of that was still far off.

Ichigo's current strength was too weak, even slightly inferior to a seated officer of the Gotei 13.

"Grow stronger quickly. You are also one of my anticipated opponents. I hope that in this altered storyline, you can reach even greater heights, forcing me to fight with all my might."

Hui watched Ichigo's departing figure, murmuring to himself.

He didn't harbor any intention of eliminating this 'threat' in its cradle.

On the contrary, he held anticipation, hoping that Ichigo would eventually provide him with an exhilarating battle.
