[3rd Person's POV]
The vortex spat Mammon out into a meadow.
Grasses swayed by the gentle wind, dandelions flew in the air, and from afar, a picturesque manor stood proud, breathtaking, and grandiose.
The field was vast.
So, everything around him, from the spot where he stood to the distance and beyond, was laid bare in his eyes. There was nothing to block his view, nothing to hide within the span of a second.
So, then, why couldn't he spot Jade anywhere?
Mammon straightened, white gloves brushing raindrops from his sleeves with calm. His mime servants formed a half circle behind him, heads bowed, awaiting direction, seemingly unaware of their lord's discovery.
But he did not move.
He waited. One second.
Two.
Three.
Then, his head twitched.
Still no Jade.
A slow, unnerving smile stretched across his face.
"…Where," he whispered, voice trembling with madness, "is he?"
