I had been staring at book spines for so long that my eyes felt like they were melting out of my skull. I've been doing this ever since I arrived in the World Tree's Ancient Library.
Thinking that my teammates, outside these trunk walls, back on Earth, were probably searching for me nonstop, I couldn't let this chance to seek the next, right book.
Any of the three books, even if the one where Claude existed, was better than doing nothing.
I had made up my mind. After seeing what powerful people, like Mammon, could do with their given abilities, it would be better if everything just went back to normal.
No abnormal, superhuman abilities that only amplified evil people's capabilities to do more evil, and no more… literal monsters and nonstop fighting.
Even if it meant no more… Claude.
I sighed as my gaze roamed over the thousands of books in front of me.
