"Alright, there's nothing for you here anymore, so get out. You've been here long enough; go back, pack your stuff, and find another place to stay," the Great Elder said coldly, the more he thought about it, the angrier he got.

Housekeeper Geng initially felt gratitude for the Great Elder's words but felt a chill in his heart upon hearing the latter part.

He knew that although the Great Elder didn't show it on the surface, he was very dissatisfied with him. This relocation meant he would never have a chance to rise again. Everyone knew that the Mu Family's power was in the hands of the Family Head, and the only place where the Great Elder had any say was the Treasure Vault, this ancestral sanctum. Being the steward here was not a showy position, but it held a high status. Once he left, he would become worthless.

"Great Elder, I know I was wrong. Please, give me another chance?" Housekeeper Geng pleaded desperately.
