The group of youths who had been chirping just moments ago suddenly quieted down. Faced with his insults, they didn't even dare to retort, or even look him straight in the eye, instead all lowering their heads.
"Are you Mu Han Yan?" As he passed by Mu Han Yan, the young man stopped in his tracks, glanced at Mu Han Yan with a sideways look, and asked. Contempt filled his eyes and his tone was incredibly haughty, his nostrils were practically flaring skyward. Mu Han Yan even thought that if peanuts were to fall from the sky at that moment, they would likely plug up his two nostrils—although, of course, peanuts would never actually fall from the sky.
"I am Mu Han Yan. Who might you be?" Although she had no fondness for his arrogance, Mu Han Yan was not the sort of petulant lady to start hurling insults or punching someone in the face without reason. She asked calmly. Well, perhaps if the quarrel persisted, she might start hitting.
