He quickly shook his head, trying to be optimistic, thinking maybe Chuchu was just having too much fun with the kids and forgot to turn on her phone.... He couldn't continue that thought, feeling it was just self-deception.
The most likely possibility was that Chuchu had seen his messages but simply didn't plan to respond to him.
