Qin Zhao opened the door and saw him.
Chu Yan stood outside, still accustomed to wearing a snow-white satin robe. His cold and aloof demeanor was like the snow on a mountaintop, which made his features appear even more picturesque, his bearing noble and transcendent.
His figure was tall and striking, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist.
Hanging from his belt was the jade pendant Qin Zhao had given him.
"How did you get here so quickly?"
A faint smile played on his lips, showing he was in good spirits as he walked into the house.
Qin Zhao saw him and repeatedly hesitated to speak, not knowing where to start.
She closed the room's door and asked first, "How did Yu Yu's test go?"
"It hasn't started yet, but it should go smoothly."
He casually spoke as he walked over to the table and poured himself a cup of tea.
It seemed he wasn't very concerned about his son's test.
"Then why have you come to see me? Aren't you supposed to be there watching?"
"No rush."
