The next day, Tang Yue groggily woke up.
Tang Yue glanced at the time; it was just six o'clock, and it was still dark outside.
She got up and quietly went to the kids' room. Zaozao and Chenchen were already awake and were getting dressed.
"Why are you up so early? Go back to sleep for a while."
Tang Yue felt very sleepy, yawned, climbed into Chenchen's bed, and lay down again to sleep.
"Mom."
Chenchen had just started to speak when she saw Tang Yue with her eyes closed, sleeping. Chenchen and her brother Zaozao exchanged a look and went back to sleep as well. Since mom was asleep, she didn't want to disturb her.
She slept until almost eight o'clock, drifting in and out of sleep, and could feel her daughter moving around constantly. She guessed she was hungry.
Tang Yue got up to make breakfast for them—scallion fried egg noodles, a simple dish that the kids really liked.
After breakfast, Zaozao and Chenchen changed clothes and dashed off.
