Chapter 33 - CHAPTER 32 - THE MISCHIEVOUS TRIO.

At their initial battle ground, Kaina laid on the ground, yet to get up from the last attack he sustained, he laid there without a care, starring at the sky. Then; "Did we keep you waiting?" Khay's voice echoed the surroundings. Kaina pushed himself up and sat on the ground, pushed his left leg to a knee length and rested his hands on it, and when his gaze fell on them, he was taken by shock.

They're smiling? Something is definitely wrong with these three. Look around you, you idiots, I've attacked all your friends, what could you possibly have to be smiling about?

"Get up!" Khay's voice reeled him back to reality. "Remember when I said I was going to show you what it means to care for your friends? I really was hoping to take you through slowly, we were hoping you would see some sense before…. All this."

"Yeah." Trilith added.

What the- -

"But you just went and subscribed yourself to the whole package, the most difficult class in the "Don't mess with my friends" class and that comes with the three of us."

Something feels off about all of this.

"Just remember, you did this to yourself" Lilith sneered."

"Let's go!" Trilith added.

"Watch closely." Khay smiled. "Try not to kill him."

They vanished?!

Yes. The mischievous trio vanished from Kaina's line of sight with as little as a warning. Kaina scanned around, to his left, right and up and behind, but there was no one, it seemed for second, as if they had just left him there. What made it even more difficult for him to trace them was that, the three of them just… vanished, they were yet to move towards him to attack for him to even defend or predict their trajectory. They just vanished.

Then, from nowhere, Khay appeared, his foot stepped on the ground and cracked it open, Kaina's eyes trailed downwards to Khay who was bent down and rising with an attack.

Move!

Kaina commanded his body to move and it did, yet he could feel a gap, his movement speed in comparison to Khay's spelled his doom, he couldn't evade in time nor block, everything he did felt slow. Then, the attack came as Khay thrust his fist hard at Kaina's abdomen and blew him backwards, shards of the flesh armor began to chip away from his abdominal region as he went screeching backwards. Without a second to breathe or recover, Trilith followed with a roundhouse kick that caught him off guard and devastated his defense, shaking his entire body. Lilith quickly followed, her footsteps reaching Kaina's ears. And before he could react, she had already reached his solar plexus and her fist rested there comfortably, before Kaina could breathe, a jolt of heavy force hit him like a wrecking ball and blew him off his feet and sent him toppling backwards. Flying through the air, he was joined in the free fall by Khay and he kicked him hard like a ball; sending him on a different trajectory which was immediately met by Trilith and likewise he kicked, this time to Lilith. Caught in a vortex of kicks and punches, they rushed him giving him no room to breathe.

Kaina went catapulting out of the barrage of the attacks and toppled on the ground like a long stick that had flung with great strength. He went falling, head first and bounced off the floor and landed on his back and bounced back once again; toppling until he came to flinging stop when to velocity of his fall had reduced and caused him to sit on his knees. The armor cracked like a glass subjected to force beyond its strength and scattered around him.

"Impossible! These three!" He was out of it. The whites of his eyes were showing as he sat there seemingly lifeless. "MOVE!" he willed poor Kaina's body to move but it paid him no heed, his body had been subjected to great force and stress, to the extent that, standing on his legs would be next to impossible.

"It's not supposed to end like this! NO!" Then, as if a light bulb had been turned on, "Oh…." The voice said to himself. "Yeah, let's do that! Hahahah!!"

The whites of his eyes still prevailed. And he sat there as the three approached him.

"Kaina. Are you out of it yet? Or do you need some more slugging?" Khay cracked his knuckles.

"Maybe we went a little bit too rough on him." Lilith said.

"But in any case, really. A lot of damage has been done. Look at all this destruction. He said as they looked around.

"Certainly not something they can't rebuild for sure."

"No…" a soft voice leapt at them.

Flashes of the whole event went through his mind. He lifted his head and looked around. The Hoffers mansion was rendered to rubbles and fire. Students hung on the ledges; unconscious. He bawled out on his knees crying almost inaudibly. The whole thing came rushing his memory, all the students he had harmed. Yousef, Hodgard, Ranfa, Evy, Mira, Yegan and Kai. Then, the screams of the students as he attacked them while they attempted to escape to safety under the leadership of Kiriku and Ingrid. He had made sure they all fell under the brunt of the ensuing madness.

He rolled on the ground, reveling in the endless pain that was invading his mind and cried out loud.

"Kaina…"

"Looks like he finally came to."

"Khay…" he faintly called, drawing the attention of the trio. "I… I don't deserve to live. Kill me."

Hahahahaha. That's just it. Yes, lose your will. You did all this. You will be held responsible for all your actions. Hikami Kaina!

He groaned on his knees and smacked his fist into the ground, tears rolling down from his eyes.

"That means that whatever that was going with you really wasn't you huh?" Khay stated.

"But it was me." Kaina responded.

"Come on. We knew you had been screwed lose by that parasite. We just had to screw you back."

"Yeah, someone's gotta keep you accountable." Lilith said.

"Don't worry about all that havoc." Khay added.

"No"

"The students are all alive. Nothing too life threatening although close."

"NO"

"I mean if you wanted really harm these people, I'm sure you could have done way worse"

He's supposed to lose his will and crumble to the pain he has caused. Not this!

"Noo!!" a sinister energy burst blew from him and in that instant his eyes had become darkened once again. In the wake of it, a tornado of fire suddenly appeared and blew hot wind all around and Kaina sat in the middle of it, seemingly lifeless. Then, out of it came roaring a voice "Are you really going to listen to these people? Face it!"

"What is that!" Trilith cried out as the trio braced themselves against the hot winds.

"You weak and pathetic grunt. You could never amount to anything. Think of all the pain you've caused!" the voice coupled with the turbulent winds traveled faintly across.

"There's something happening in there. I can hear a voice."

"Me too."

"I can't seem to get any closer than this." Lilith grunted.

The trio struggled to overcome the force of the brewing tornado that was right in front of them. The hot winds coupled with rotating shards of Kaina's shattered meat armor, it was nigh impossible to enter as stones and rubbles that were caught up in it were shredded to dust.

"You think they'd be willing to forgive you after this display of yours? Stuff for nightmare fuel, really." He said, ecstatic.

"Somebody… Save me." His weak and faint voice cried out to no avail.

He scoffed. Then a handful of the unconscious students closer began to regain their consciousness. "No one is coming to save you. Not after what you've done. Just look around you. Look at their faces." And Kaina looked and saw nothing but people who had been hurt by his recklessness. His gaze fell on the floor as his head bowed down.

"There is nothing here for you but judgment from people who don't understand you. Come with me, oh prince. To a place prepared for you, where you will be made great, beyond your wildest dreams."

"Can you make the pain go away?"

"If you say yes, this is the last time you will ever feel pain like this."
