"Except for a few individuals in Asgard, you have been placed on the non-welcome list. Even if a prisoner does come to Earth, as long as she doesn't break the law, she will be under the protection of the Super Personnel Bureau.
Even if she does violate the law, the Super Personnel Bureau will handle it. So ma'am, you'd best return to Asgard within the stipulated time. Otherwise, you will be hunted down by us."
Sif was so enraged by these words that she couldn't speak at first. Finally, she shouted to all those present:
"You don't understand the horror of Lorelei at all. She will destroy the entire Earth!"
Just as Sif grew more agitated, the special agents of the Super Personnel Bureau immediately switched their weapons to firing mode and aimed at her.
In addition, two transhuman agents activated stealth mode. If Sif made any further hostile move, they were prepared to strike with overwhelming force.
"Due to your unstable emotional state, please return to Asgard immediately. Otherwise, we will be forced to take coercive measures."
The captain of the secret service wasn't bluffing. They had already received authorization. If Sif chose to resist, Asgard would see just how far Earth was willing to go in retaliation.
"When you interfered in Earth's internal affairs before departing, all Asgardians were placed on the non-welcome list. If the Super Personnel Bureau uncovers evidence of harboring wanted individuals, Asgard will be held accountable."
Thor, that bastard!
Upon hearing these words, Sif finally understood why Earth's attitude had changed so drastically. The last time she visited, there was no hostility—they even helped them find people and resolve other issues.
She should have realized it sooner. She should have stopped Thor from interfering. His actions violated Asgard's rules and angered the people of Earth.
If Thor continued to intervene, it would inevitably lead to war between Asgard and Earth.
But right now, Sif had no choice. She had witnessed Earth's growing power firsthand—and she had come alone. If she acted aggressively, she wouldn't even be able to cause a ripple.
"Heimdall!"
Sif shouted to the sky, and a beam of light from the Bifrost surrounded her. Moments later, she vanished, returning to Asgard—leaving behind only a mysterious figure in her place.
"Is it complete?"
"All recordings have been uploaded successfully."
"Then let's move."
The Super Personnel Bureau agents also departed. They had successfully recorded and transmitted all the energy data from the Bifrost back to headquarters. With other missions awaiting them, they had only come here because they were closest to the scene.
Although the Super Personnel Bureau had grown more powerful, their responsibilities had also multiplied. Backed by the Ross administration, the Bureau now had strongholds across the globe.
Even if Asgard chose to descend in Antarctica, they would be detected and monitored.
Back in Asgard, Sif ignored Heimdall and headed straight for the Golden Palace. She had to warn Thor —if he continued on this path, it would ignite war across the Nine Realms.
"Sir, there's been an incident at the Pent Group. A confirmed superpowered individual is attacking the headquarters. The target is CEO Laura on the 50th floor. The intruder's ability causes all men to obey unconditionally—but it has no effect on women. First recorded in Ohio."
Kain raised an eyebrow in mild interest upon hearing Red Queen's report, but the situation didn't seem serious enough to warrant his personal intervention.
"An ability that only affects men? Sounds like a succubus. Red Queen, handle it. Capture and bring her to me."
Although the ability seemed average, if it was mentally based, Kain was curious to study it. However, the gender limitation severely reduced its value.
The reason Lorelei had made it so far—controlling a dozen guards and advancing toward the heart of the Pent Group—was because Laura remained temporarily safe. Thus, the Red Queen hadn't activated emergency protocols yet.
However, if needed, the Hive's new-energy mechanical guards could reach Laura within two minutes—so there was no real cause for concern.
Soon, after receiving the Red Queen's orders, thirty new-energy mechanical guards intercepted Lorelei and her controlled followers on the stairs.
Lorelei did not give up easily. She ordered her thralls to attack the guards. But within Kain's military force, these mechanical soldiers were second only to the thrice-enhanced Super Warriors in strength and effectiveness.
Under the control of the Red Queen, Lorelei and her group were quickly subdued. Though she was powerful, facing four new-energy mechanical guards at once left her completely outmatched.
Once neutralized, she and her thralls were transferred to the underground Hive's research lab and then sent to Kain Manor via a hidden passage. As for the others under her control, they were detained and would be released once her influence wore off.
"Why am I awake...?"
As Lorelei regained partial consciousness, she suddenly heard a voice. Her eyes shot open, and she tried to move—only to find her wrists and ankles restrained by glowing electronic shackles.
She was in a strange place. The room had high ceilings—about four or five meters tall—lined with towering bookcases that stretched up to the roof. She turned her head and froze. There stood a man whose presence made her heart skip a beat.
He was impossibly perfect—his appearance, his aura, everything. More importantly, Lorelei sensed a familiar energy from him, the same resonance enchantresses felt when meeting someone attuned to their kind of magic.
"Can you help me up? It's rather uncomfortable lying on the floor," Lorelei said with calm confidence, intending to use her voice to enchant him. Her powers could control most men on Earth with just a few words—especially if she could get closer. Physical proximity only enhanced her charm.
Kain regarded her with faint amusement.
"Does your ability require touch to be effective? Asgard is so cautious about you—claims you're dangerous. But this feels a little underwhelming. Which realm are you from, exactly?"
Despite his dismissive tone, Kain still reached out and pulled her up with one hand. It was clear he was testing her.
"You touched me willingly. That means you're mine now. Serve me from now on—and first, release me," Lorelei declared confidently, her voice laced with magical allure.
At first, she had been worried when he mentioned Asgard, but after looking Kain in the eye, she nearly laughed with relief. If he could be charmed, then it was already over. The shackles meant nothing—soon, he would obey her.
But Kain didn't move. Instead, he stared at her with a calm, almost mocking expression.
"The charm ability is… unimpressive. Average, really. Maybe decent against ordinary men. But this can't be your main power, right? It doesn't even feel effective."
Kain was always protected by Occlumency and an array of magical runes designed to repel mental and spiritual manipulation. Even at full strength, Voldemort himself wouldn't be able to land an Imperius Curse on him—much less Lorelei.
Her powers were simply too weak to affect someone like him, which left Kain a little disappointed. Still, her origin and knowledge of the Nine Realms gave her potential value.
With a flick of his hand, Lorelei was effortlessly thrown onto a nearby sofa. Then, with a simple gesture:
The electronic shackles snapped open.
Lorelei blinked, surprised and confused. Before she could speak, Kain said coldly, "You're not entirely useless. So I'll give you two choices: become my subordinate, or I send you back to Asgard.
We may have an agreement with Loki, but he's not my subordinate either. And make no mistake—Umbrella will expand into the universe. You have two minutes to decide. Tell me your answer when you're ready."
With that, Kain returned to the magic tome in his hand. He had planned to visit the resident evil today, but Lorelei's unexpected appearance had forced a detour.
The Nine Realms, always mired in conflict, were clearly of strategic importance. The fact that no one had developed them properly was a waste of opportunity. Lorelei, at least, had knowledge and experience—and a grudge against Asgard.
If Earth truly expanded into the cosmic stage, Asgard would be the first to stand against it. Their belief was unshakable: Earth must remain under their "protection," not rise as an independent power.
If Earth ever developed truly advanced weapons, the rest of the universe would see it as a declaration of war.
"I won't submit to just anyone," Lorelei said coolly, licking her lips as she studied Kain. Though he had released her, she wasn't about to surrender so easily.
He might be dangerously attractive and radiate power, but she wasn't the kind of woman to bend at the first sign of strength. Many had resisted her, but few remained unshaken—her charm had been tested more times than she could count.
"If you want my submission, you'll have to earn it. Ordinary men can't conquer me."
She walked toward him slowly, each step exuding sensuality. Her body language was pure seduction.
Kain gave a low chuckle. "How arrogant. Enchantress-class charm, huh?"
Before she could blink, her vision blurred. In the next instant, Kain, who had been several meters away, suddenly appeared right in front of her—and effortlessly lifted her up.
"Mm~!"
Lorelei let out a stifled gasp. In the next heartbeat, she found herself thrown onto a massive, soft bed, her body sinking into the sheets.
Six hours later, Lorelei lay on her stomach, her body sore, numb, and aching all over.
Moments ago, she had felt like a bird soaring high into the sky—free, weightless, untouchable.
She had never experienced anything like it in her hundreds of years.
"Have you admitted defeat, Enchantress?"
Kain took a short break, then casually grabbed Lorelei by the leg, dragging her gently toward him, ready to begin again.
"N-No! I admit it! I surrender!" Lorelei quickly cried out. "You're my master now, from this moment on."
Her body had reached its limit. What she needed more than anything now... was rest.
Kain chuckled, releasing her thigh.
"So quick to fold? Your charm ability really is underwhelming."
He shook his head slightly, then stood. "Rest for now. Once you recover, come see me. There's work for you to do."
With Lorelei leading the way, it would be far easier to interact with the Nine Realms—aside from Asgard, of course.
Few on Earth had the knowledge or experience to begin cosmic development. Betty had accompanied Kain once into space, but she was still far from capable of managing such a task alone.
For expansion into the universe, someone like Lorelei—who understood its politics and players—was essential.
"I understand, Master... I want to sleep now."
Seeing that Kain was no longer demanding anything of her, Lorelei curled up and drifted into peaceful sleep.
After leaving the room, Kain began to plan.
He didn't fully believe Lorelei had submitted just yet. Her earlier words carried more fear than sincerity. Once she recovered, she would be tested again—repeatedly—until Kain was certain she was truly loyal. Only then would he entrust her with outward expansion.
Until then, preparations had to continue.
The aircraft carrier was ready, but deploying it directly on Earth was too risky. Kain had stationed it near the Moon, using small and medium transport ships to ferry materials and personnel aboard.
Meanwhile, Hive Labs and the Pent Group had begun producing pioneer trade goods for interstellar commerce.
During the days that followed, aside from meals and occasional baths, Lorelei lived in a haze of exhaustion and aching fatigue.
Every time she recovered slightly, Kain summoned her again—to ensure her obedience, to test her resolve.
Only when she finally broke down in tears, pleading for mercy, did Kain believe she was truly and completely conquered.
Once convinced, he handed over the interstellar operations to Lorelei, taking her down to the underground Hive to brief her on key responsibilities.
With her position secured, Kain turned his attention to other pursuits.
When not with Betty, he focused on mastering the spells in the Darkhold—the Book of Dark Magic.
With the cursed power of Zero Tail, a dark energy remarkably similar to Chthon's, Kain was now capable of wielding nearly all the magic within the book.
But what intrigued him most was the prospect of traveling to parallel worlds.
All parallel worlds had convergence points. Above the multiverse, beyond even the dimensional layers, stood the Living Tribunal—the ultimate cosmic authority.
If Kain truly intended to develop beyond a single universe, a clash with the Tribunal would be inevitable.
But that future was far away. He hadn't even fully conquered a single universe yet.
Still, the Holy Grail and the World Projection Grail made such ambitions feel less like fantasy.
However, opening up the universe posed logistical problems.
The materials for most trade deals weren't yet ready, and the aircraft carrier's massive capacity made the logistics even harder. If Pent Group were to handle the production alone, it would take nearly ten years to prepare for the first full-scale space trade mission.
For an Earth-based company, that pace was actually impressive.
But Kain couldn't wait that long.
"It looks like I'll have to use Umbrella from the Biochemical World one last time," he muttered.
"With their manpower and infrastructure, we can be ready in three years."
Resolving himself, Kain opened the multiversal trading system.
He selected the resident evil World from the portal interface and confirmed the transfer through the system .
In the next instant, Kain vanished from the Marvel Universe.
