"Damn It!" Jeanne exclaimed at yet another loss to the Captain. They'd been playing games together for the past hours into the late morning, specifically a strategic war game. Raven attempting to advise the woman against the captain. The Markswoman certainly had strategy, but against someone Leroy at a game like Go, or War games where it takes keen Strategy, she tended to freeze up. But in a one on one game like chess or shogi, she always won against the Captain
"He always wins!" Jeanne Complained, comically pulling at her face. Raven letting out a slight chuckle "Yes I can see that."
"Best not stress yourselves out too much!" Kirk said from the bow "I'd hate to see those pretty faces of yours all wrinkled"
The Playful flirt caused Jeanne to cover her face, and Leroy to laugh. A typical playful occurrence from the fishman. Sometimes he liked to see how far he could go. It was fun! It was just Kirk's Nature. After all, the Crew were more than just friends or family. But the closest of comrades. Things such as that just couldn't happen if they weren't
As the two cleaned up their game, the navigator scoured the horizon near the hot spot. Bubbles reaching the surface faster and faster like a pot of water atop a stove reaching a boiling point.
"Guys!" Kirk called out loud enough that the Entire Crew was called to attention. Even Kále, Stopping mid rep "It's happening!"
"It's happening!?" Jeanne and Leroy called out, both running to the Front of the Ship. Dezzi chased after them as well to the front, and within a few moments the entire Crew was at the Bow.
The Sea was Raging more and more, a light vibration could be felt from where the crew was, the waves becoming more and more violent, like there was an invisible hand swirling the water, and over the course of a few minutes the vibrations of the waves reached an apex! The Water sloshing, bubbling, like a reaction in a Science experiment!
"Here it comes!" Leroy yelled, When-
The noise was monstrous! Whooses and Thooms of wind rushing over them as the area of sea in front of them erupted in a gigantic column of water! Shooting high into the air! So high that it reached the clouds up high and mingled with them and passed in a swirl of moisture! The sheer power of the subaquatic eruption was a true sight to behold that every member of the crew watched in awe, eyes wide, and jaws slacked. The Same variety and strings of words coming from their mouths. 'Oh my…' and 'Wow'.
It took a moment for everything to register, and the first to snap back was Kirk "Alright! Get ready!"
"Raise the Anchor and set full sail!" Leroy spoke louder over the immense noise!
The Crew all rushed across the deck, shoes stomping against the worn wood, Noir dashing into the front gun deck to Spin the Capstan and Raise the anchor. Kirk rushed to the Galley and manned the Whipstaff, Raven raised and splayed her fingers, summoning her powers across the main mast to set the Sail.
The Wind caught the white sails, and the Jolly Roger Flapped and waved as the Horizons Palm went full speed ahead to the monstrous Jet Stream!
The Horizons Palm sailed forth at its top speed of 20 knots! Cruising and bouncing against the rough tumultuous waves, the sea spray shooting onto the deck as all hands held onto something, jeanne a nervous look of excitement, Kále a stoic yet clearly excited look, Noir was wide eyed in amazement, Dezzi had a look of wonder, with Raven close by, supporting herself with her bloom fruit, Kirk couldn't see too well but he was focused, on navigating with the comments of Noir, but his excitement palpable with the clear sharp toothy grin he held. And then there was Leroy, who was at the head of the bow, leaning onto the wood with such wide eyes and huge smile that it was as if stars were in them!
The Closer they got, the louder the upward current of the water became, it was like hearing s Waterfall magnified by ten, the water all the more rapid and white peaked but with the expertise of the Navigator they traversed the currents with ease!
"Here we go! Everyone hold on!" Leroy screamed over the eruption, being this close they could see that the water had a strange flow to it, the sails were raided and the ship continued forth, Kirk coming out onto deck, because from here there was nothing he could do with a mere whipstaff
The following moments, the crew held their breath, it was like going up reverse mountain yet again, but instead of risk of crashing, they had the risk of being annihilated by billions of gallons of water! Hearts fluttered, tension rose, and just before they made contact, they all held their breath.
In a blur, the front of the horizons palm was lifted Up with ease! The underside of the downward facing palm figure head had splinters fly off! As the Palm raised up, the keel made contact with extraordinary force! The vibrations wracked the deck, sending the ship upwards! Riding the current itself on the outside! It was so sudden that one moment the boat was tilting up and the next they were facing the sky! And rapidly approaching it!
All but Raven lost their balance and began falling backwards!
A wave of hands occurred, and a breath spoke loud! "Conovulsus Twist!"
Suddenly Hands sprouted from hands which sprouted more! And gripped and grabbed at the crews legs! Pulling them back to the deck and wrapping around their ankles to keep them in place!
"Thanks!" Leroy shouted as they all regained their bearings! Wind rushing and whipping through the crews clothed and hair, it was like being in a hurricane! But they stayed on course! Raising higher and higher still! The clouds that seemed so small, filled their view like a wall of smokey solid white!
