The Tea Set. Was Fortunately Not Broken
Aponiv Had given the right directions to Kirk to allow the Navigator to safely get to the Shore
"So…What is that…" Jeanne said to Aponvi, Leaning over to the Belt of the Man, a tad bit on the invasive of his personal space. Leroy to by her side.
"Oh, My Reel?" He Said unclipping the Conch from his braided belt and palming it. "Yes!" The Two Said in unison. Raven as well approached the three to observe as well.
"Just what does it do?" Inquired Raven
Aponiv was truthfully flattered to hear someone interested in such a meager part of his daily life. "This is known as a Reel. It's a Device that can be found in the White Sea. Made from the Shells of Shellfish. We haven't exactly deduced why they work how they do. But we do know how they do."
"They Absorb and can be Intuned with Elemental Energies of the World. They seem to produce what seems to be infinite amounts of it as well…Though what's produced isn't as astonishing as one that's absorbed an energy. Lim-Reel, are what we call them specifically."
"Fascinating." Jeanne Said with stars in her eyes. Mind running rampant with Idea. "Do you have any extras!" She Asked excitedly. But Aponiv distanced himself slightly. "I don't think we'll give to outsiders we don't know something we have use for."
Jeanne slumped in disappointment. A slight pout that caused amusement between Raven and Leroy. The latter of which gave the Steam Woman a pat on the back. "Ha, cheer up Jeanne. What'd you think was gonna happen? Just gotta wait!"
"So, some can produce near limitless amounts-" Raven said before Aponiv Interjected "For a time. If overused they can Break unless they cool down."
"Right." She Nodded "And the Others can Absorb Energies but are more Potent?"
"Correct. Reels can come in a Variety of shapes as well. From tiny, to large. There's a variety of what we would Consider Reels. For not all of them just Absorb or Produce. Any Shells from a Unique Shellfish that have some sort of special property or use is called a Reel."
"That's Incredible…" Raven and Leroy said together
After a solid 30 minutes of Sailing on the cloudy white sea in the sky. It was smoother sailing than on the blue sea below. But the rapid changing and flowing swirls of the cloudy ocean made it feel almost like they were in an occasional rough patch of sea.
"Hey! I think I see it!" Jeanne said from up atop the crows nest.
On the Horizon. A Landscape came into view. It was a deeper color of White, close to gray in color. A Long shore line running along the distance. Small Buildings made up of what looked to be stone that was smooth on the surface. Roof flat. There was Spot of Color Adorning the Outside in swirls and triangles in a repeating pattern, up and down, each up was red, every down was an orange hue.
The Swirls beneath looks like lapping waves of the white sea, swirling up and into itself before passing back through lining the bottom of the Building. The Entire thing seemed to be at least 2 stories tall. And as wide as the palm itself.
"Do you guys have a City?" Raven asked inquisitively. She'd read of Many people who lived on islands in smaller sects than large sprawling cities.
"Yes. It's not far. About 5 Pipecan away." He said giving a shake of his hand. But then he raised his hand to his chin. Thinking. "You're probably more familiar with Kilometers though. That's about 1 Kilometer." He said with a nod.
"So that's-" Raven began before Jeanne interjected ".2 Kilometers per Pipecan."
"Or 200 meters." Raven Stated. "That sounds about right." Aponiv gave an affirmative nod "How long have you been with the concept of things from the Blue Sea? If it's not rude for me to ask?" The Deep Purple Haired Scholar asked again. This was one of the First times she was able to interact with a culture not heavily documented or recorded yet.
Aponiv's Hard Demeanor seemed to Buckle for a second as he he shined a toothy smile "You know I'm- Glad that you have such interest in Skyderia. And My People. Theres always been stories of those from the Blue Sea. Being Selfish, or Out for Something Vile…" He seemed to mull over for a second if he should continue or not, eyes gazing to the deck then back to the horizon. "We've had- Problems with them in the Past…"
He then looked back at Raven. Resting his hands on his hip, wrist limp of the Limeareel. "As for your first Question…From our history I'd say about…200 Years? We've stuck to what we knew. But we have a-" He gave a slight tilt back and forth of his head, eyes squinting. "Tendency of Using what we Find well."
"Interesting…" Raven Began to Speak again but a sudden rock. Caused them all to lean forward suddenly. "Hey-Aponiv?" Kirk asked.
"Yes?"
"Just How are we going to Dock?"
"Uh-I supposed Here should be fine." He said with a firm brow and a nod as he turned around.
Raven began Scribbling in a Book as the Crew walked down the Boarding ramp against the Deep Grey Sand of the Beach.
"Wow! Look at this place." Leroy spoke as he hopped onto the sand. Grains flying through the air as he suddenly took a tumble and fell onto his ass. "Ah-"
"Ha" Noir gave a slight chuckle at the Captain Clumsiness. But The humor quickly faded away as Leroy Seemed to have speeds of sweat, and color faded from his face!
