"Oh hey Bon Bon!" Leroy said as he pulled out of the hole.
"The fuck did you just call me?!" Bon Bon asked. A small fluster coming across his cheeks as that was a nickname that he had not heard in years. Decades.
"Oh right!" Leroy said, dodging out of the way of a glob of mucus from the Harpy. It had Leathery almost bat like wings that were covered in loose feathers. It's body was slender, long, was unlike any depiction of the mythical beast. But by all accounts. This was indeed the same animal that those myths were based on.
How Strange…
With a body that was like a long twig, arms like a bats, and a neck that was long with lengthy feathers that looked like a womans long hair. It was no wonder some probably misremembered what they looked like. Its face was slim, 'beak' was flat against it's face. It's jaw could unhinge and reveal a huge array sharp jagged teeth where its quick hardening, snare like mucus could shoot from
This same mucus, Smacked Bonny in the hand and glued him to the wall! He tugged and tugged at it with annoyance
"Zeke Ring a bell? Yeah the old mans still Alive on Desmare! Helped me and my crew…And It seems like he even wants to help me out! Teach me a few things!"
"Teach you a few things?!" Bonny said, straining against the mucus. Eventually, his arm popped off. "That dick never taught us anything!" He said "Well…He did. A lot actually…But the fuck do you get that?"
"Said I was like your old Captain, Roger!" That…That pissed Bonney off. More than it should've "You're fucking nothing like Cap! Nothin at all! You're short, annoying, way too loud, never know when to give up and-"
"Fuck…" He muttered after realizing those were the exact traits that he knew roger for… "You're just not him!"
"You were on rogers crew Cap'n?!" Quinn and Danny asked at the same time. One more bubbly than the other. But it was clear that Bonney had a tendency for attracting a particular kind of person.
"Did you know about this D?" Mar-Syl asks Diva. "Steady Bonney? And Roger? Of course. Know that his childhood friend turned Emperor, Sparrow, was also on The Roger Pirates. What? Did you expect me to give a run down of all the worlds history? Cuz that is not my forte."
While the pyrotechnics, Chemicals, and Random objects that were appeared by Danny, and then inflated by Quinn, were thrown by the latter with speed and strength that continuously attempted to knock the Harpy out of the air! It spat once, twice, thrice!
"Mar-Syl! Toss me one of those bottle rockets! Fuckin Dynamite!"
"Got it!" It was a literal stick of Dynamite. A full bundle worth a few kilos of it was tossed, long fuse lit! "Catch!"
Leroy's hand elongated and stretched. Grabbing it out of the air as he was mid leap! Other hand grabbing the Harpy by the thin neck that was covered in scales like a birds legs. He snapped into position! And as the creature attempted to roll in midair, not made for prolonged levitation but gliding, screamed and unhinged its jaw! Attempting to spit its mucus!
Only for right as it opened wide! Leroys hand shoved into its throat! Fuse getting dangerously close to the ordnance!
"Sling!" He shoved both his feet into the Bird Creature! Causing it to soar backwards right as a dull yellow light illuminated the surroundings! The beam brightest as it left the mouth. For a brief moment the skin was illuminated like a light being held behind the skin! Even the skull was illuminated for a moment before only smoke was seen coming from the mouth
It did not kill it! But the force applied internally and so close to the brain jostled it into total confusion and force slumber! Spiralling down to impact hard into the ground! Leroy gracefully landing on the rocky ledge
"No time to stop Red Boy!" Diva said already making a leap past the Pirate and down another level! Mar-Syl Hurrying quick behind them! And without even asking, Quinn followed with Leroy as he leapt down after them!
"Quinn! Goddamnit!" He swears. Finally being able to pull his stuck limb from the wall and reattach it. Only to see that another Harpy was crawling along the top of the corridor before him. Ogyr following, while two trolls were on the otherside
"Yeah I don't think theres any other way!" Danny said giving a inquisitive and on brand shrug of her shoulders. Internally debating what to do!
"Oh fine! Lets just go!" He said running up to the woman standing mere inches bellow five foot flat, and pulling her along as he leapt down!
Unlike the others who just landed flat. Quinn needed to brace her self. And Bonney with Danny floated down with speed until they were at the bottom most level over the cat walk. It could've been seen from above where Diva and the others had entered from, where the ceilings were made of material to be seen transparently from above, that the middle of the level could descend down through all the floors. The mazes of spaces stacked on top.
Their surroundings were much different. At least smaller. As this was the level that was used primarily by the guards. Prisoners did fight here. But they rarely made it down this far. With hundred of meters of space to fight in. Why be in this small area?
"Which way now!" Leroy asked. Looking around. Still in gear second. His answer was quickly answered as through a pair of thick doors a group of Guards dawned head to toe in the riot armor of Arbiters exited!
They formed a shield wall and began issuing commands as their armaments loaded into place. The voice of the Warden over the radios crackled to life "Full Level Containment is now in effect!"
"Don't let them stop us!" Diva yelled! Bonny attempted to sneak away but the other elevator opened and another squadron of Guards that were all trained to the levels of Ensigns and above! "Shit!"
"Grah!" Leroy screamed! Dashing forward! Sonic booms shook the walls of the level! Acid burned through the guards armor from Diva as the phosphorus from Mar-Syl's Pyro-Pyro fruit brunt flesh!
The armor was thick and hard. Made of Ceramite. Something the Red Sash captain was used to by this point! And he was far stronger than he was before! Especially enhanced by the Hardened beat of his heart forcing blood to beat harder through his body!
It took mere moments. But moments that were all to precious as they dispatched the dozen Riot Gaurds. Leaving them bloody and beaten! Some had their faces revealed by the cracked visors. Others with shattered armor strewn about.
Danny tossed a bobby pin to Quinn, who quickly inflated it. At the same time, Riff Raff and Hora Appeared from above! Leaping down from over the railings as they themselves had been fighting their own battles to make their way to Violence to regroup with Diva.
"Finally. Took you two long enough!" She said as they all huddled into the lift! Quickly pressing the button. And allowing the group of now 8 to descend down to the eighth level…
