Chapter 60 - New Toys

The transport containers used were the industry standard, boxes made of lustrous steel with lines of white radiance wrapping around their edges. The container's surface had nano-tech properties which allowed for seamless opening so long as one knew the authorization code or possessed a master key.

Ciel had neither at the moment.

For that reason upon spotting the steel containers, he did not walk towards them but instead reached into his phone. As expected, there in his messages was an anonymous number.

[Use this to contact me in all related matters. You should find what you requested inside your new room. Do not forget what you have to do next. The code for the containers is: 267930464863.]

With no more obstacles in his way, Ciel did not loiter and leisurely made his way towards the steel container closest to him. He activated its sensors and inserted the given code upon the holographic pop-up which followed.

Only after did the container's surface turn into flowing metal before retreating back. Ciel was then met by the sight of a small pile of firearms.

Prior to joining the Red Tiger Gang, Ciel would have accepted any type of weaponry he could obtain. However, when left with a near unlimited list of weapons to pick from he had requested for a wide variety of weaponry.

Laying at the surface was not a weapon but rather a dual gun shoulder holster made of dark leather. Ciel removed his crimson jacket and equipped the holster before placing his jacket back on. He then performed a few motions to ensure that the holster would remain hidden despite his movements.

Under normal circumstances, carrying the holster was a risky action. After all were he ever stopped by any police officer then he would immediately be arrested. Ciel was unconcerned though, not only was he not easily caught but the benefit of quick access to a weapon outweighed the risk it brought.

When he was done with his testing, he returned his focus to the actual firearms. On top of the pile now were two handguns. Ciel reached for the first one, a Regular-Grade Semi-automatic pistol known as the Kert-12x. In comparison to all the other firearms present it was the least lethal, however its ability to be quickly drawn and fired was what made it an essential part of the arsenal Ciel seeked. After all, not all situations would require anything beyond a mundane bullet.

Ciel placed the Kert-12x upon his left holster before turning to the second handgun. It was a silver Advance-Grade revolver known as the Jolt-Sixth. It was a weapon with software installed into it which would know when the gun is being held or not and by who. This made it impossible to misfire it or to be used by anyone who is not registered to do so.

When held by the owner the cylinder would begin to spiral rapidly and allow for 6 continuous miniature charge blasts. These electric blasts lacked the frenzy might of other Advance-Grade weaponry, however they are lethal enough to place a hole through a person or even steel alloy.

Its firing time was notably slower than the average pistol, yet it would make the perfect partner to his Kert-12x. Placing it on his right holster, Ciel continued his examination.

What he found next was none other than the familiar TM-9. There were also two Regular-Grade rifles, the TX-16 and the RY-30. The final weapon found was an Advance-Grade plasma sniper known as the Hawk-40.

Finished with the first container, Ciel moved to the next. Upon opening it he found a single alloy item waiting. It had the appearance of a steel vest with lines of blue radiance wrapped around its body. This was the dormant state of an Advanced Strategic Cybernetic Armor.

Considering the high likelihood of him engaging with more espers moving forward, Ciel's body would be unable to contest against their enhanced capabilities. With this, he was certain that he could kill any First Stage Esper.

Ciel then turned to the third container. This was the smallest out of the four and inside it were many different knives. Some even were Advance-Grade, and among them was a nano-tech steel bracelet with a few quick-draw capabilities.

Everything is here…

It seemed that Wilson Francis did not hold back in ensuring all weapons Ciel requested were acquired. Ciel was now truly capable of advancing forward with substantial influence in the coming events.

However, his green eyes soon narrowed towards the final container. He was not sure why this one was here, all his requests were already met.

With some caution he approached the final container and inserted the authorization code. When its steel surface retreated what awaited him was the sight of many squared objects, both big and small.

Explosives huh…

It appeared that the Red Tiger Boss had added a gift for him.

With this, Ciel could truly forge an unforgettable massacre within the Central Region.

It was not long after Ciel finished his inspection of his weaponry that Leonard entered the room with Rin. There was a steam tailing behind Rin's rigid steps, however her grotesque appearance had been successfully covered through the usage of a large hat and a vail.

Leggings were bought to cover her legs and a pair of long gloves covered most of her arms. It was an eye-catching appearance in all the wrong ways, yet it seemed to have gotten the job done. Unlike Ciel's disinterested self, Rin's dazzling crimson eyes immediately began examining the apartment.

Considering how it encompassed the entire topmost level, the apartment was rather lavish.

It was well maintained and furnished, a heavy contrast to the weathered look of the building which hosted it. It possessed two bedrooms, three bathrooms, one large kitchen, and a spacious living room which connected to the kitchen.

An L-shaped sofa decorated the living room area, providing comfortable seating for its massive glass monitor that appeared to have been built into the very walls. Naturally, after her strenuous exploration of their new home, Rin found herself seated upon the sofa with her ashen legs tightly tucked.

Ciel did her the favor of activating the monitor before he and Leonard exited the room.

"Satisfied with your gift?"

Leonard asked. Ciel nodded.

"Yes. The boss is a generous man."

Leonard chuckled.

"Only to those he favors… Now then, I will be heading to see that your earlier requests are met, what will you do?"

Ciel had already begun to walk ahead as his answer reached Leonard's ears.

"What else? I'll give myself a tour of my territory."

Saying nothing more, Ciel reached the elevator and was soon out of sight.
