Chapter 356: Retrieving the Poisonous Thunder and a Solution for the Calamity Poison Body

The events that took place at Yun Lan Sect spread like wildfire, reaching every corner of the Jia Ma Empire within just a few days, creating a massive uproar throughout the nation.

Yun Lan Sect had always been known for its formidable power in the Jia Ma Empire. Its reputation had been further solidified in recent years due to Yun Shan's leadership, which had greatly boosted the sect's influence. Additionally, Yun Lan Sect's alliance through marriage with Mulan Valley made their combined strength dominant throughout the Northwest Continent.

However, the shocking news of Yun Lan Sect's imminent disbandment and the total annihilation of Mulan Valley spread rapidly, shaking the foundations of the Jia Ma Empire. This was nothing short of an earth-shattering development for its people.

As the news became the talk of the empire, the names of Mo Yu and Xiao Yan, the main figures in this event, became well-known throughout the land.

For some, these names were unfamiliar, but those with good memories recalled the two as the "Xiao Family Dragons," who had risen like comets in the empire just three years earlier. Back then, they were just outstanding among the younger generation, not worth much notice in the eyes of old monsters like Yun Shan, and were even chased out of the empire for offending Yun Lan Sect.

Now, however, in just three short years, the Xiao Family Dragons had returned stronger than ever, powerful enough to defeat the enormous Yun Lan Sect and annihilate Mulan Valley. Their rapid progress left everyone in awe.

As the empire buzzed with this news, Yun Lan Sect officially announced its disbandment, a declaration that further shocked the masses. Not long after, disciples of Yun Lan Sect began to leave the sect, abandoning their titles and identities to blend in with ordinary citizens of the empire. They could no longer use their sect status to boast.

Within half a month, nearly 80% of Yun Lan Sect's disciples had left, and the once-bustling Yun Lan Mountain had become eerily empty.

This mountain, once regarded as a sacred place for cultivation in the Jia Ma Empire, would gradually be forgotten as time passed, sinking into the depths of history.

An ancient sect that had stood strong for hundreds of years in the Jia Ma Empire had quietly fallen into decline...

In the Capital City, Jia Ma's Sacred City

The Xiao Clan residence, located in the best area of the city center, had become the focus of attention. Every day, the mansion saw a steady flow of visitors, as countless influential figures came bearing gifts to curry favor with the newly powerful Xiao Clan.

Late at night, in a spacious and quiet hall within the Xiao Mansion, a young man with silver eyes sat calmly in a chair, his eyes closed.

The beautiful maids, tiptoeing around to refill the teacups, often stole glances at this new rising star of the Jia Ma Empire. Their cheeks turned pink, and they couldn't help but admire Mo Yu, who had become the object of admiration for countless young women in the empire.

At just over twenty years old, Mo Yu possessed the strength to stand toe-to-toe with Dou Zong (Dou Sect) powerhouses, a level of talent and achievement that seemed almost unreal.

"Mo Yu, may I come in?"

The silence in the hall was broken by a soft voice. A tall figure appeared in the doorway—it was Xiao Yixian (Little Doctor Fairy).

Dressed in a white dress with her long, snow-white hair cascading like a waterfall, she stood there, her gray-purple eyes reflecting the moonlight. Tonight, her eyes seemed softer than they were during the day, less cold and more gentle.

At this moment, she looked almost the same as the kind-hearted girl Mo Yu had met back in Qingshan Town.

Hearing the familiar voice, Mo Yu slowly opened his eyes. His silver irises flickered with faint lightning. His handsome face showed a hint of paleness, a natural part of his appearance.

"Xiao Yixian, you're always welcome," Mo Yu said with a warm smile as he waved off the maids to give them some privacy.

"Congratulations on your victory over Yun Lan Sect. You've avenged your family," Xiao Yixian said, a touch of admiration in her gray-purple eyes as she looked at the increasingly mature and handsome Mo Yu.

"I never imagined that in just a few short years, you would reach such heights. Although I knew you had great potential, I still underestimated you back then," she said with a soft smile.

Mo Yu chuckled and replied, "You've learned to flatter people, haven't you? I remember when we first met in the Magic Beast Mountain Range, you weren't like this—you tried to knock me out!"

Xiao Yixian's cheeks flushed a little as she recalled the incident, a rare moment of embarrassment for her usually cold demeanor. "You still remember that?" she said, almost shyly.

"Of course! It was our first encounter, and we even found quite a few treasures together in that cave. How could I forget?" Mo Yu nodded with a smile.

"You've grown a lot in these years too. As the head of the Poison Sect, you've unified the forces in the Chu Yun Empire. That's no small feat," Mo Yu added.

Xiao Yixian lightly bit her lip and said, "Well, having the Calamity Poison Body made things a bit easier in the Chu Yun Empire."

Mo Yu sighed softly. Even though she made it sound easy, he knew that in reality, it must have been a tremendous struggle for her to rise in a place filled with poison masters.

Seeing the concern in Mo Yu's eyes, Xiao Yixian's heart warmed. "You don't have to worry about me. I've done quite well over the years, and it's all thanks to the Xuan Yin Poison Thunder that you lent me," she said with a smile.

As she spoke, she opened her palm, and a green, venomous thunderbolt materialized, filling the room with a cold, poisonous mist that sent shivers down the spine.

In the hands of anyone else, this poisonous energy would be horrifying, but in Xiao Yixian's control, it was clear why she had earned the title of the Poison Lady of the Northwest Continent.

Seeing the Xuan Yin Poison Thunder again, Mo Yu's eyes lit up. Its growth was far beyond what it had been years ago, now resembling a fearsome green scorpion.

"It seems the Xuan Yin Poison Thunder has matured significantly. You've taken good care of it," Mo Yu said, smiling gratefully at Xiao Yixian.

"No need to thank me," she replied softly, her voice tinged with nostalgia. "If it weren't for the Xuan Yin Poison Thunder, I wouldn't have survived each eruption of the Calamity Poison Body."

Her face darkened slightly as she remembered the painful moments from her past.

Mo Yu could tell from the matured state of the Poison Thunder that Xiao Yixian had suffered through many outbreaks of her Calamity Poison Body over the years. His heart ached for her struggles.

Gently, he reached out and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, saying softly, "Then you should keep the Xuan Yin Poison Thunder for now."

Feeling the warmth of his touch, Xiao Yixian's cheeks flushed again, but she shook her head resolutely. "No, I was planning to return it to you. The Poison Thunder has grown too powerful for me to control safely."

Mo Yu was momentarily taken aback but then understood her reasoning. "I see... Is it because the Poison Thunder has become a danger to you?"

Xiao Yixian nodded. "Yes, as it has grown stronger, I've felt its growing desire to consume me, a bearer of the Calamity Poison Body. If not for the command you left in it, it might have already turned on me."

Mo Yu sighed. "So the Poison Thunder's evolution requires it to absorb the essence of a Calamity Poison Body to reach its peak state. That explains its interest in you."

"Yes," Xiao Yixian agreed. "And although I've been searching for a way to control the Calamity Poison Body, I believe the answer lies in the Poison Thunder itself. By refining the poison into a core called the Poison Pill, I can stabilize the body's energy."

"But for that to work, the Poison Thunder must reach its peak state, and right now, it hasn't," she said with a hint of disappointment.

Mo Yu's mind raced as he thought of a solution. "If that's what it takes, then leave it to me. I promise that within five years, I'll find a way for the Poison Thunder to reach its peak, and you'll be able to form the Poison Pill."

Hearing his words, Xiao Yixian's eyes sparkled with joy. "Thank you, Mo Yu," she said softly, a smile lighting up her face.

She handed the Xuan Yin Poison Thunder back to Mo Yu, who accepted it without hesitation. The thunderbolt seemed to recognize its master, releasing a small cheer as it settled into his palm.

To show his appreciation, Mo Yu decided to create a sub-thunder from the Xuan Yin Poison Thunder. Handing it to Xiao Yixian, he said, "Use this sub-thunder to control the poison within you. It will help manage the outbreaks without turning against you."

Xiao Yixian was touched by his thoughtfulness. She stepped forward and, in a rare moment of vulnerability, gave Mo Yu a gentle hug. "Thank you, Mo Yu," she whispered in his ear before turning to leave.

Mo Yu watched her vanish into the night, a faint smile lingering on his face, as he shook his head in quiet reflection.
