Chapter 461: The Twin-Headed Flood Dragon Clan, The Jiao Prince

Time passed slowly, and soon, the martial arts tournament was about to begin.

At the outskirts of Ten Thousand Serpent Island stood a majestic, towering mountain. The mountain's peak had several vast platforms, filled with the buzzing of crowds, making the entire scene appear grand and magnificent.

When Mo Yu and his group arrived, the area surrounding the mountain top was already packed with people. The sound of wind being cut through the air filled the sky as countless figures descended like locusts, landing on the platforms.

"The first part of the tournament isn't the main event. It's a series of sparring matches between various experts. The top factions use these matches to recruit strong fighters to serve as their bodyguards or honorary members," Shui Ling explained to Mo Yu as they reached the Shui family's seats on the mountaintop.

"Heh, because these factions offer great benefits, many experts hope to be noticed. After all, having a powerful backer in the South Sea Region is crucial. The top families also provide training resources, making it very appealing."

As Mo Yu followed Shui Ling to the Shui family's designated area, he nodded in acknowledgment. Walking beside him were the famous Shui sisters, one on each side, drawing the attention of many. The Shui sisters were renowned for their beauty across the South Sea Region. Either of them alone was a stunning sight, but together, they were mesmerizing, making countless men envious.

However, after the Shui family's recent conflict with the Wu Tail Clan over the camp, many realized that the Shui family had regained some of its former prestige among the Five Great Families. This change was all due to the silver-eyed youth beside them—the powerful ally the Shui family had invited. Though there were many speculations about Mo Yu's origins, one thing was certain: anyone who could command a powerful Dou Zun as a companion had a significant background. As a result, despite their jealousy, no one dared to provoke him.

Still, trouble seemed to find him regardless. Before Mo Yu could even sit down, a raspy, cold voice called out from behind.

"Are you Mo Yu?"

Frowning slightly, Mo Yu turned around to see a group of people entering the arena. These newcomers had a sinister and dangerous aura, and every person exuded terrifying strength. Their cold, emotionless gazes made them seem less like humans and more like something else entirely.

Leading this group was a muscular, bald man, his body radiating a fierce and murderous intent. He grinned, revealing sharp teeth that sent chills down one's spine.

"It's the Jiao Prince from the Twin-Headed Flood Dragon Clan..." Shui Muqing's face turned pale, her expression filled with tension.

Hearing this, Mo Yu's gaze became more serious.

The Twin-Headed Flood Dragon Clan was the most powerful force in the South Sea Region, rivaling even the strongest factions of Zhongzhou. It was no less formidable than the three great valleys of Zhongzhou. Glancing at the bald, savage-looking man in front of him, Mo Yu felt a sense of danger emanating from him, like a vicious sea serpent lurking in the depths.

As Mo Yu sized up the Jiao Prince, he could sense the strength and threat emanating from him.

"Muqing, you rejected my proposal, only to take up with this weakling?" The Jiao Prince's eyes burned with anger as he glared at the scene of Mo Yu and Shui Muqing whispering together.

As his words fell, the soldiers of the Black Jiao Guard behind him moved to surround the Shui family, creating a tense atmosphere.

As the situation grew tense, groups of other people began entering the area. Each arrival brought cheers from the crowd, clearly representing the top factions of the South Sea Region.

Among the newcomers were the Yuan family and the Wu Tail Clan, which Mo Yu had previously encountered. From the Yuan family's ranks, Yuan Ling, the young man Mo Yu had crossed paths with at the Shui family auction, smirked coldly, enjoying the unfolding drama.

Likewise, Wu Jun and Wu Mang of the Wu Tail Clan watched with amusement, hoping to see Mo Yu suffer. They were delighted to see that, besides clashing with their clan, Mo Yu had also provoked the Twin-Headed Flood Dragon Clan, the true rulers of the South Sea Region. Even with his impressive background, Mo Yu seemed doomed to fail.

In contrast, the other factions maintained a neutral stance, observing the situation with indifference.

At this moment, seeing that the Jiao Prince was preparing to strike, Shui Muqing gritted her teeth and said, "Jiao Prince, I don't know you, so why would I accept your marriage proposal? Please stop harassing me."

"Hmph, women I choose never escape me! What's so special about this weakling? If you marry me, the Shui family's position in the Five Great Families will be unshakable!" The Jiao Prince's eyes gleamed with lust as he stared at Shui Muqing, clearly treating her as something to possess.

Hearing this, the onlookers were speechless. Internally, many mocked the Jiao Prince's overconfidence. Compared to the graceful and handsome Mo Yu, the bald, brutish Jiao Prince was hardly a match. Some even whispered that his appearance would likely terrify a bride on their wedding night.

However, despite their internal grumbling, no one dared to voice their thoughts aloud. The Jiao Prince's reputation for brutality was well known in the South Sea Region. Years ago, he had slaughtered an entire family just to steal the bride during a wedding. The event had caused an uproar, and the bride, after being used and discarded, had reportedly been eaten by the Jiao Prince himself.

Mo Yu had learned some of these stories from the Shui sisters, and he knew that if the Jiao Prince weren't so terrifying, Shui Muqing might have felt forced to accept his marriage proposal to protect her family. But the Jiao Prince's monstrous nature left her with no choice but to refuse.

"Jiao Prince, is it? I've heard of your reputation," Mo Yu said with a polite smile. "I hear the Twin-Headed Flood Dragon Clan has two heads. Is that true?"

The Jiao Prince blinked, momentarily confused by Mo Yu's friendly tone. His crimson eyes flickered with doubt. Though he was savage, he wasn't foolish. Despite being egged on by Yuan Ling, he was cautious not to offend someone with unknown origins, especially someone followed by a Dou Zun expert.

But Mo Yu's respectful demeanor made the Jiao Prince reconsider. Maybe Mo Yu wasn't as powerful as he initially feared. Perhaps this young man was from some insignificant family in Zhongzhou, and not worth worrying about.

Feeling emboldened by the thought, the Jiao Prince's arrogance grew. "That's right! Every member of our clan has two heads, and as long as both heads aren't destroyed, we cannot die. We are far superior to you lowly humans."

Mo Yu nodded thoughtfully before grinning. "In that case, you should leave now. Otherwise, I can't guarantee that you'll still have both heads attached by the end of the day."

The crowd fell silent, stunned by Mo Yu's audacity. Did this silver-eyed youth just threaten to take the Jiao Prince's head—both of them?

A wave of whispers spread through the audience. The Jiao Prince was a prince of the South Sea, feared by all. And now, someone was openly threatening him?

Yuan Ling and Wu Jun were equally shocked. They couldn't tell if Mo Yu was extremely confident or simply delusional.

The Jiao Prince's face darkened, his expression turning vicious as he glared at Mo Yu. "I don't care where you come from, but after what you just said, if I don't cut out your tongue, not even your elders can save you from my clan's wrath!"

The temperature around them dropped as the Jiao Prince's cruel words sent a chill through the crowd. No one doubted that he meant every word. Based on his ruthless history, Mo Yu's fate was sealed.

Yet, Mo Yu remained unfazed. "You know, many people have threatened me before. Funny thing is, they've all ended up as dust."

"You arrogant brat!"

Furious, the Jiao Prince no longer cared who Mo Yu was. He just wanted to rip him apart.

"Uncle Ao Guang, deal with this boy for me. If I don't make him suffer, I won't be satisfied!"

At the Jiao Prince's command, a massive, armored man stepped forward. His aura was so fierce it felt like a deep-sea dragon had emerged, suffocating the surrounding air.

"Of course, Jiao Prince. I'll make sure this boy regrets his insult," Ao Guang said coldly, his presence radiating the power of a two-star Dou Zun.

Mo Yu's expression hardened as he felt the terrifying strength emanating from Ao Guang, who was even stronger than Tian Shuangzi.

The Twin-Headed Flood Dragon Clan truly was the dominant force of the South Sea Region. A two-star Dou Zun like Ao Guang was a towering figure, even in Zhongzhou.

As Ao Guang's aura intensified, Qingzhi stepped forward, unleashing an icy chill that clashed with Ao Guang's pressure, creating a tense standoff.

"Well, well. You're not bad for a Dou Zun from Zhongzhou, but a one-star Dou Zun is still no match for me!" Ao Guang sneered.

Though Qingzhi's icy aura was impressive, Ao Guang was still a two-star Dou Zun. The difference between their levels was vast, and in a battle of Dou Zuns, even one rank could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Qingzhi's expression remained cold, as she firmly stood her ground. "Then let's see."

With a sinister grin, Ao Guang raised his weapon, a massive trident, and charged at Qingzhi, his movements distorting the air with their force.

Qingzhi wasn't idle either. With a swift motion, she conjured a black ice spear, its surface shimmering with a faint silver light—imbued with the power of the Ice Soul Silver Thunder.

The two fighters were moments away from clashing when two powerful voices suddenly shouted from above.

"Stop!"

Two more Dou Zun auras erupted in the arena, equal in power to Ao Guang's, as two figures appeared. One was a refined man in a yellow robe, while the other was a Sea Tribe warrior clad in red, scaly armor. Both of them were two-star Dou Zuns—one from the Xuan Family and the other from the Linjia Branch of the Sea Tribe.

Their stern expressions made it clear they were here to prevent a disastrous conflict.

"As the guardians of Ten Thousand Serpent Island, you should know that any serious conflict between Dou Zuns could destroy the island. Are you trying to make enemies of every top faction in the South Sea Region?" one of them scolded sternly.
