Chapter 475 - Chapter 475: Exposed, the Murderer!

Chapter 475: Exposed, the Murderer!

"Frenzied Shark Clan, the Blood Shark Prince?"

Hearing the name, Mo Yu was taken aback. He turned around to see a large group of people surrounding him. These individuals were filled with an overwhelming murderous aura, their eyes cold and emotionless. Their strength was evident, resembling a well-trained army.

Mo Yu frowned at the sight, feeling an ominous premonition.

Back on Ten Thousand Serpent Island, he had killed Kuang Lang of the Frenzied Shark Clan, who, before dying, had claimed to be the son of a prince of the Frenzied Shark Clan. Whether or not Mo Yu believed him, he had shown no mercy and killed Kuang Lang on the spot.

And now, with the Blood Shark Prince sending people to seize him, could it be that they suspected him of being the killer?

"Boy, stop dawdling. Let me tell you the truth: recently, the soul flame of the Blood Shark Prince's son, Kuang Lang, was extinguished on Ten Thousand Serpent Island. Therefore, everyone who leaves the island must be personally inspected by the prince. Even the Xuan Clan and the Linjia Tribe are cooperating fully. If you don't come with us, we'll suspect that you're the killer and will arrest or even execute you on the spot!" said a tall, scarred man with a powerful aura, one of the leaders of the elite squad.

As the captain of the Blood Shark Prince's guards, he knew all too well how furious the prince was after losing his beloved son. Therefore, he dared not slack in his duties.

Upon hearing this, Mo Yu's expression darkened. As expected, this was all because of Kuang Lang's death.

"And what about the Shui Clan?" Mo Yu asked, a sinking feeling growing in his heart as he looked around.

"They've already been invited to our Frenzied Shark Clan camp. Don't worry, we haven't harmed them. However, if you don't come with us to clear your name, even if you are from Central Continent, our Frenzied Shark Clan will hunt you down relentlessly. Not only you but the Shui Clan and even that Dou Zun who accompanied you will join you in hell!" the captain of the guard said coldly.

Hearing this, Mo Yu's silver eyes flickered with a cold gleam.

While he could easily escape from this squad, if he did, the Shui Clan and Qingzhi would undoubtedly suffer severe consequences.

After thinking it through, Mo Yu's expression shifted. He then said in a deep voice, "Fine, I'll go with you. But if I find out that the Shui Clan or Qingzhi has been harmed, I'll make sure your Frenzied Shark Clan pays a heavy price!"

Hearing this, the captain was momentarily stunned. Despite Mo Yu's calm face, he felt a sense of danger from him.

Shaking his head, the captain snorted coldly, "We are only here to investigate the killer of Kuang Lang, not to kill innocents. You'd better pray that you had nothing to do with his death. The prince's wrath isn't something you can bear!"

Mo Yu narrowed his silver eyes slightly but said no more. He followed the squad, all while thinking about his next move…

The Frenzied Shark Clan camp was not far away. After walking with the Blood Shark Prince's guards for about ten minutes, a massive camp resembling a palace came into view.

The camp was shaped like a giant shark, completely blood-red, exuding an aura of pure terror.

Around the camp, elite squads patrolled constantly, and Mo Yu could even sense several powerful hidden presences in the shadows.

"So this is the power of the Blood Shark Prince..." Mo Yu thought, his heart tightening slightly.

As the one who had killed Kuang Lang, stepping into this camp felt like walking into a den of tigers. It was clear that things wouldn't end well here.

Even so, Mo Yu didn't regret his actions. Kuang Lang had tried to profit from others' misfortunes. If not for Mo Yu's strength, he would have fallen victim. Given his nature, Mo Yu hadn't hesitated to strike back.

Though now deep in enemy territory, Mo Yu felt that, with his current strength, he could still face the Blood Shark Prince if it came to that.

"Reporting to the prince! The eighth survivor from Ten Thousand Serpent Island, Mo Yu from the Shui Clan, has been brought here!"

The captain of the Blood Shark Prince's guards knelt respectfully about a hundred meters from the camp, calling out loudly.

"Oh? Bring him in!"

A voice, filled with anger and authority, echoed from inside the camp. Just from the sound, one could feel the immense power of the Blood Shark Prince—one of the top experts in the South Sea Region.

At the same time, Mo Yu became extremely alert.

If not for the fact that the Shui Clan and Qingzhi were still under the Frenzied Shark Clan's control, Mo Yu would have considered simply walking away. After all, the Blood Shark Prince could do as he liked, but would he dare to follow him to Central Continent and act so recklessly?

As Mo Yu pondered, he followed the guard captain into the grand hall within the camp.

Upon entering the hall, Mo Yu felt an overwhelming sense of danger. His gaze quickly landed on the figure seated in the center.

The man was tall, appearing to be in his forties or fifties, with a black beard on his chin. He wore a blood-red robe covered with shark patterns, which seemed to move and flow as if alive. Occasionally, a hint of divine might emanated from him.

Despite his seemingly ordinary appearance, Mo Yu's keen soul perception sensed an extremely dangerous aura from him—far more dangerous than anything he had felt from even the Xuan Clan's elders.

"This must be the Blood Shark Prince. Judging from his aura, he's at the peak of Two-Star Dou Zun, just a step away from Three-Star Dou Zun," Mo Yu thought, his silver eyes narrowing slightly.

As Mo Yu studied the Blood Shark Prince, the prince, wearing his blood-red robe, glared coldly at Mo Yu, his presence like an immense weight pressing down on him, as though he were deep under the sea.

"Ten Thousand Serpent Island usually remains open for about two months. Why did you come out so late? Are you guilty of something?" The Blood Shark Prince's voice dripped with suspicion and fury as he stared at Mo Yu.

The moment his son's soul lamp had shattered, it felt like a knife stabbing into his heart. His eyes were red as he gazed at Mo Yu.

While it was true that accidents sometimes happened on Ten Thousand Serpent Island, leading to the death of even powerful individuals, the Blood Shark Prince refused to believe that his son had been killed by the beasts on the island. His first suspicion fell on the other survivors.

Aside from the Prince of the Flood Dragon Clan, only Mo Yu had yet to be personally verified.

Thus, when the Blood Shark Prince looked at Mo Yu, his eyes were filled with undisguised suspicion and rage.

Hearing the accusation, Mo Yu frowned slightly. While it was true he had killed Kuang Lang, the reason for his late departure was to protect Uncle Snake during his advancement. How could that be considered suspicious?

"I received an inheritance on Ten Thousand Serpent Island, which delayed my exit. What, does even the Blood Shark Prince control that?" Mo Yu replied calmly.

Hearing Mo Yu's explanation, the Blood Shark Prince frowned but still said coldly, "Words alone mean nothing. I need your blood essence to verify whether or not you killed my son!"

"My blood essence?" Mo Yu frowned deeper at this request.

He didn't refuse immediately, though. Instead, he replied in a serious tone, "Fine, but first, I need to confirm the safety of the Shui Clan and Qingzhi."

Hearing this, the Blood Shark Prince waved dismissively, "Bring the Shui Clan members up."

He wasn't holding the Shui Clan and Qingzhi as hostages, only to prevent Mo Yu from escaping. As the Blood Shark Prince, a peak Two-Star Dou Zun, he had no need to resort to such low tactics against a young man like Mo Yu.

After receiving the order, the captain of the guard respectfully left the hall. Soon after, a group of people entered.

At the front were the Shui sisters, Shui Muqing and Shui Muxue, along with Shui Cang and other Shui Clan members. Qingzhi was also among them, though his aura was weak.

"Are you all okay?" Mo Yu's face softened as he hurried forward to check on them.

"We're fine," Shui Muqing replied, her beautiful face lighting up with joy upon seeing Mo Yu. However, her expression quickly turned somber as she added, "But Senior Qingzhi was gravely injured by the Blood Shark Prince some time ago."

Hearing this, Mo Yu's heart sank. He turned to look at Qingzhi and saw that his chest had caved in, and his face had lost much of its color.

"Don't worry, Young Master. With the nurturing power of the Ice Spirit Silver Thunder, I've already improved a lot," Qingzhi said, shaking his head.

Though Qingzhi had some intelligence, he was still a puppet. His body was a bit different from an ordinary Dou Zun, allowing him to slowly recover from the Blood Shark Prince's attack thanks to the Ice Spirit Silver Thunder's nurturing.

"Enough! I'm not interested in your chatter. I just want to find the person who killed my son!" The Blood Shark Prince's face darkened as he interrupted them. He then turned his gaze back to Mo Yu and said coldly, "Give me your blood essence. If you're not the killer, I'll let you all go and even offer compensation. But if my son's death is connected to you…"

His crimson eyes flashed with deep killing intent. Even a One-Star Dou Zun would feel chills from the look in his eyes.

"I don't care what background you have in Central Continent. If you killed my son, you won't leave the South Sea Region alive!"

Hearing this murderous threat, Mo Yu narrowed his silver eyes slightly. Though he didn't know what method the Blood Shark Prince would use to identify him as Kuang Lang's killer, it seemed he had no choice but to take the gamble and hope to deceive him.

As Mo Yu weighed his options, the Shui Clan members all turned their anxious eyes toward him. During their time in captivity, they had learned why the Blood Shark Prince was so furious.

His only son had died on Ten Thousand Serpent Island, and with his domineering nature, the prince would stop at nothing to find the killer.

However, none of them had expected Mo Yu to be the one responsible. They all hoped that after the verification, they could leave safely.

Only Shui Muxue, watching Mo Yu's ever-changing expression, couldn't shake a bad feeling in her heart.

"Hurry up, boy! Or do I need to take it from you myself?" the Blood Shark Prince growled, his blood-red eyes narrowing at Mo Yu's hesitation.

Under the prince's mounting pressure, Mo Yu's expression shifted. After a moment, he bit his finger, causing a drop of crimson blood to drip out. It floated in front of the Blood Shark Prince.

Taking the blood, the Blood Shark Prince stood up abruptly, and with a wave of his hand, a drop of dark red blood appeared, floating in the air.

Mo Yu glanced at the blood. It was dark red, but upon closer inspection, he could see a faint trace of green within it.

Seeing this, Mo Yu realized something. This drop of blood was likely Kuang Lang's. He must have left it with the prince before entering Ten Thousand Serpent Island, and now it was being used to track down his killer.

With Mo Yu's blood in hand, the Blood Shark Prince's face darkened further as he swiftly formed a strange seal with his hands.

The seal caused Kuang Lang's blood to form a mysterious rune. With a flick of his hand, the rune floated toward Mo Yu's blood, emitting a red glow that slowly enveloped it.

As the red glow covered Mo Yu's blood, he could sense an unusual energy scanning it. He even felt a strange sensation, as if he were being watched.

As the rune neared Mo Yu's blood, Kuang Lang's blood began to tremble violently, as if terrified.

Seeing this reaction, the Blood Shark Prince's expression became even darker, and the atmosphere in the hall grew heavy and oppressive.

Noticing this change, Shui Muqing and the other Shui Clan members exchanged nervous glances, their fear mounting. Could it be that Kuang Lang really had died at Mo Yu's hands?

If so, that was the Blood Shark Prince's only son!

Though Mo Yu's face remained calm, a growing sense of unease gnawed at him. It seemed that deceiving the prince wouldn't be as easy as he'd hoped.

As the red light continued to probe Mo Yu's blood, the Blood Shark Prince suddenly opened his mouth and swallowed both drops of blood along with the rune, which transformed into red light and disappeared into his body.

Without saying a word, the Blood Shark Prince closed his eyes, as if sensing something.

The wait was agonizing, but everyone could see that the prince's expression was growing darker and darker.

Mo Yu's silver eyes narrowed slightly, his hands tensing.

In the next moment, the Blood Shark Prince's eyes snapped open, filled with hatred as he glared at Mo Yu. His furious roar thundered through the entire island.

"Guards! Arrest this little bastard! I will tear the murderer of my son to pieces!"
