Chapter 514 - Chapter 514: Heavenly-Class Battle Skill, Obtaining the Skeleton

Chapter 514: Heavenly-Class Battle Skill, Obtaining the Skeleton

Thick black mist surged into the hall from outside, gathering in the air above the main hall. As the black mist dispersed, two formidable figures, one black and one white, appeared, causing many in the hall to instantly recognize their identity.

"They're from the Hall of Souls?"

Upon realizing the newcomers' identity, many people felt their hearts skip a beat, their brows furrowing in concern. The strength of the Hall of Souls was well-known across the continent. If they were here to fight for the Heavenly-Class battle skill, the already chaotic situation would only become more complex.

Mo Yu's gaze fixed on the figures in the air, and the cold smile on his face grew wider. The Hall of Souls had indeed shown up.

Floating above, the Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns surveyed the hall, their eyes locking onto Mo Yu and Xiao Yan. Their gaze grew cold and hostile.

"I didn't expect to see the two of you here," one of them said, his tone dripping with malice.

As the Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns' hostile words echoed, the crowd's attention shifted to the two slender figures of the young men standing in the hall.

"Oh, so the Hall of Souls sent the two of you. Well, why don't you pass a message to the Nine Heavenly Sovereign: next time, he won't be so lucky," Mo Yu said with a casual smile, completely unfazed by the cold stares of the Heavenly Sovereigns.

"You arrogant brat!"

The Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns instantly became furious. The destruction of their branch hall and the heavy injuries inflicted on the Nine Heavenly Sovereign were deep wounds for the Hall of Souls. Mo Yu's words felt like he was tearing open their scars once again.

Their anger sent chills through the crowd, who were now staring at Mo Yu in disbelief. This young man had offended the Nine Heavenly Sovereign of the Hall of Souls—a figure considered a true powerhouse of the continent, someone before whom even the leaders of major forces would show the utmost respect. Yet, it seemed that the Nine Heavenly Sovereign had suffered at Mo Yu's hands?

With this realization, Mo Yu's image in their minds grew even more mysterious and unfathomable.

Feng Qing'er and the others recalled the scene of their five-star Dou Zun elder being killed in an instant by Mo Yu, their faces turning pale as they looked at him with growing fear.

Boom!

While Mo Yu was exchanging sharp words with the Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns, a sudden loud noise echoed throughout the hall. It was as if a heavy bomb had been dropped, and in the blink of an eye, the entire hall erupted into chaos like a pot of boiling oil.

Swoosh!

Up in the sky, the glowing orb that had been floating there suddenly vanished, and ten different-colored streaks of light shot out from it. Clearly, the seal had been completely undone.

Amid the glow, one could vaguely see scrolls, and an ancient aura emanated from these scrolls, causing the eyes of many experts to turn blood-red with greed. Their breathing grew heavy.

"The Heavenly-Class battle skill has appeared!"

With that shout, the hall, which had fallen silent for a brief moment, erupted once again. Powerful waves of Dou Qi exploded in the hall as countless figures shot toward the glowing scrolls like locusts, each desperate to claim one.

As the crowd fought to snatch the scrolls, the ten beams of light seemed to possess their own intelligence, darting through the air and evading the outstretched hands of those trying to grab them.

"Ugh!"

In the sky above, as countless figures clashed, the sounds of combat echoed in the air, followed by screams as fighters were struck down, their bodies crashing heavily to the ground below. The dull thuds of their falls caused those still standing to shiver in fear, realizing that this fight was one where people were truly aiming to kill.

"Don't act just yet!" Mo Yu said, shaking his head slightly as he watched the chaos unfolding.

Xiao Yan, standing beside him, nodded in agreement and signaled to the Starfall Pavilion's experts to hold back. His eyes were tightly fixed on the beams of light darting around the sky. "Cousin Mo Yu, can you tell which scroll contains the Heavenly-Class battle skill?"

"None of them," Mo Yu said, shaking his head.

"What?" Xiao Yan asked, surprised. Although he trusted Mo Yu completely, he couldn't help but ask, "Could the rumors about a Heavenly-Class battle skill in this Dou Saint's ruins be false?"

"Hehe, the battle skill exists. It's just not in those scrolls," Mo Yu said with a chuckle.

"Oh?" Xiao Yan shifted his gaze from the scrolls and turned to look at the skeleton of the Dou Saint. His eyes lit up with understanding.

Seeing Xiao Yan catch on so quickly, Mo Yu smiled and nodded. "Exactly. Those ten scrolls are just a distraction. The real Heavenly-Class battle skill is with the skeleton of the Dou Saint!"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yan's eyes gleamed with excitement. The Dou Saint had left behind this clever trap, and Xiao Yan couldn't help but admire Mo Yu's sharp insight.

"So, should we make a move to seize the Dou Saint's skeleton?" Xiao Yan asked.

"No rush. A Dou Saint's skeleton isn't something just anyone can touch. Let's wait and see," Mo Yu replied.

Just as Mo Yu finished speaking, the Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns, with their gazes burning with greed, stepped forward toward the white jade-like skeleton. They licked their lips hungrily, and one of them reached out to grab it.

Swoosh!

But just as their hands were about to touch the skeleton, the space around it began to ripple. In the next instant, the space twisted into countless sharp spikes, stabbing fiercely into their hands.

A few drops of blood dripped onto the skeleton, and as the blood seeped into it, the Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns exchanged a shocked look.

"Retreat! Quickly!"

One of them shouted in alarm. As soon as the words left his mouth, they both leapt back with lightning speed. However, some of the other Hall of Souls experts were a step too slow.

Just as they attempted to retreat, the white jade skeleton on the stone platform twitched slightly, and in the hollow sockets of the skull, two faint, blood-red lights appeared.

"Ah!"

As the blood-red light appeared, the Dou Saint skeleton raised its head. A thunderous roar, like a bolt of lightning, erupted from its mouth, shaking the entire hall.

The terrifying roar transformed into a tangible soundwave that swept out like a storm from the stone platform, enveloping everything in its path.

Boom!

The soundwave reached the slower Hall of Souls experts first, and their bodies exploded into clouds of blood mist as they were instantly torn apart.

Even though the Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns had reacted quickly, the soundwave still caused their blood and Qi to churn violently within their bodies.

If even the powerful Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns couldn't withstand the Dou Saint skeleton's roar, the majority of those in the hall had no hope. For them, the soundwave was like the scythe of death.

As the sharp soundwave raced through the air, many fighters froze mid-motion. A moment later, they exploded into blood mist, their bodies ripped apart.

The soundwave finally dissipated, leaving behind a scene of carnage. Blood mist drifted slowly through the air, and those who survived felt a chill deep in their bones. Over a hundred people had died in that instant, including three Dou Zun experts.

"A soundwave that can instantly kill even Dou Zun experts..." Xiao Yan muttered in shock, his eyes wide as he surveyed the devastation. He glanced at Mo Yu and said with lingering fear, "As always, you were right, Cousin Mo Yu."

The experts from Starfall Pavilion also cast wary glances at Mo Yu. They hadn't expected everything to go exactly as he predicted, further solidifying their respect for him. His foresight was truly terrifying.

Mo Yu merely smiled and then glanced upward, his eyes narrowing slightly. "It's not over yet," he said.

Creak.

Just as Mo Yu spoke, the sound of bones shifting echoed through the hall. The sudden noise caused the hall to fall silent once again, and all eyes locked onto the center of the hall, where the blood mist was still swirling. Fear spread like wildfire through the crowd.

Tap. Tap.

The sound of bones tapping against the ground grew closer. Though the sound was soft, it felt like it was stomping on everyone's hearts, filling the hall with a suffocating pressure.

Under the intense gazes of everyone present, the blood mist began to swirl more violently. Then, a blood-red skeleton emerged from the mist, walking slowly toward the crowd.

"Intruders... will die!"

The blood-red skeleton stopped a hundred meters in front of the crowd and slowly lifted its head. In its empty eye sockets, red flames flickered ominously. A cold, ancient voice, hoarse and distant, echoed through the hall.

"Roar!"

In the next moment, the Dou Saint skeleton's body began to tremble. It threw its head back and let out a deep, raspy growl, a voice from the distant past reverberating through the air.

"Heavenly Creation Palm!"

The ancient, broken voice was chilling, causing everyone's hair to stand on end.

"It's using a battle skill! Retreat quickly!"

The Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns seemed to realize something terrible was about to happen, and their faces turned ashen. Without hesitation, they turned and fled, their cries of panic ringing through the hall.

Seeing the two powerful Sovereigns flee so abruptly, the others knew something was horribly wrong. Though they didn't know exactly what was happening, they could sense impending disaster. Chaos erupted as people scrambled to escape.

Amid the chaos, the red energy that had enveloped the Dou Saint skeleton's body began to gather in its right hand. The blood-red color surged into the palm, making it look as if the skeleton's hand had been soaked in blood for centuries.

"Roar!"

As the last trace of blood gathered in its palm, a tiny black dot appeared in the center of the skeleton's hand. The moment the black dot formed, the Dou Saint skeleton slammed its hand down onto the stone floor of the hall.

Thud.

The skeletal hand made contact with the ground, but instead of making a sound, the hard stone seemed to vanish instantly, revealing the dark, reddish earth beneath it.

Swoosh!

As the ground disappeared, a black ring of light appeared and rapidly expanded outward.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!

The expanding black ring of light swept across the room, consuming everything in its path. Stone, pillars, and people all vanished without a trace the moment they touched the ring.

It was as if a black hole had opened, devouring everything in its wake.

"Run!"

The terrifying scene sent chills through everyone's hearts. In the blink of an eye, the black ring of light unleashed an intense gravitational force, pulling anything and anyone in its vicinity toward it. Those who were caught off guard were pulled in, disappearing without a trace as they touched the black light.

Screams of terror echoed throughout the hall as fighters, powerful figures who had once seemed invincible, were helplessly drawn toward the ring, vanishing into oblivion.

Watching the devastation, Mo Yu's brow furrowed. "This battle skill is definitely Heavenly-Class!" he muttered.

"Whoosh!"

As others scrambled to flee, Mo Yu took a step forward instead of retreating. His body was surrounded by a cloak of lightning, his aura surging.

The Black and White Heavenly Sovereigns, noticing his movement, sneered. "Does he think he can resist a Heavenly-Class battle skill? He's seeking death!" one of them muttered.

Even Xiao Yan and Little Fairy Doctor hesitated, but by then, Mo Yu had already shot forward like a cannonball, a terrifying, multicolored thunderball forming in his hand.

The black ring of light continued to expand, swallowing the entire hall. The once-massive structure was reduced to nothing.

"Black Gold Thunderball!"

Staring at the black ring of death, Mo Yu's face hardened. With a flick of his wrist, he hurled the thunderball toward it, unleashing a massive thunderstorm.

Boom!

The thunderstorm clashed with the black ring, creating a shockwave that sent waves of destructive energy surging through the hall. Even the Dou Zun experts felt a deep sense of fear at the power of the collision.

No one knew how much time had passed.

When the storm finally subsided, the black ring of light had dissipated, leaving behind only silence. In the aftermath, a massive crater, hundreds of meters wide, had replaced the once grand hall. Nothing remained.

Breathing heavily, the survivors glanced at the crater, then up at the sky. Suspended in the air was the white jade skeleton.

The red light in its eyes had faded away, and the last remnants of the Dou Saint's soul had vanished.

"The Heavenly-Class battle skill..."

Everyone's eyes locked onto the white jade skeleton. But before any of them could act, a dark figure shot through the air and, before their very eyes, claimed the skeleton.

It was Mo Yu.
