Chapter 556 - Chapter 556: Reunion, Semi-Saint of the Soul Clan

Chapter 556: Reunion, Semi-Saint of the Soul Clan

Outside the Heavenly Tomb.

Under the gaze of countless eyes from heaven and earth, a tall figure—one man and two women—slowly stepped out of the void, standing steadily in the sky. A gentle breeze blew, making their robes and hair flutter as they appeared like celestial beings.

Especially the one leading, Mo Yu, who stood between the two women as if embracing them both, making many envious.

"Mo Yu, Fei'er, and that girl—isn't she the Xiao clan's daughter? But her aura seems..."

Mang Tianchi, who was watching the safe return of Mo Yu, sighed in relief. Mo Yu was now the most important person in the Lei Clan. If something had happened to him, it would have been an unimaginable loss.

However, when Mang Tianchi glanced at Xiao Yu, he was taken aback. He had heard about this fiancée of Mo Yu from the Xiao Clan and wasn't unfamiliar with her.

But to his surprise, the Xiao Clan, which had already fallen, still had such an outstanding younger generation. Xiao Yu's aura was impressive, and even among the Lei Clan, she would be considered a top talent.

"Strange. It seems this little girl from the Xiao Clan has gained quite a lot inside the Heavenly Tomb," Mang Tianchi thought to himself. But when he looked back at Mo Yu, he was even more surprised.

"Mo Yu's aura has also..."

Mang Tianchi's gaze lingered on Xiao Yu for a moment before suddenly shifting to the silver-eyed young man nearby. His eyes widened in shock.

With his sharp perception, Mang Tianchi could tell that Mo Yu's strength had reached a level far beyond the peak of the Dou Zun (Battle Venerable). Compared to before entering the Heavenly Tomb, his power had increased several times over.

"He actually reached the Nine Transformations Saint level? Such terrifying speed."

Other elders from the imperial clans also noticed this, exchanging shocked glances. Their faces betrayed their astonishment.

Even though the Heavenly Tomb was known for its mystical time flow, advancing several levels within just three years was still unimaginable. This was the first time anyone had made such rapid progress, even among those with divine bloodlines.

"Could it be... because of the tomb of the Lei Zhen ancestor?"

Mang Tianchi suddenly thought of something and smiled.

As a high-ranking member of the Lei Clan, he knew that a powerful ancestor of their clan was buried in the Heavenly Tomb. Mo Yu's incredible growth was most likely due to the legacy left behind by Lei Zhen's tomb.

Under the many watchful eyes, Mo Yu glanced around and suddenly stopped when his gaze fell on two floating corpses in the sky. His eyebrows twitched slightly as he muttered to himself.

"Didn't expect even the corpses of Soul Cliff and his partner to be transported out."

Mo Yu knew that Soul Cliff and his companion held significant positions in the Soul Clan. Their deaths would surely bring him trouble, though he wasn't particularly concerned.

"Heh, Mo Yu! It's hard to believe that in just two years, you've grown this powerful." A voice rang out as Huo Xuan approached with a smile, accompanied by Huo Zhi. He cupped his hands in greeting.

"Brother Huo Xuan, you've progressed quite a bit yourself," Mo Yu responded with a smile. He could easily tell that Huo Xuan was now nearing the peak of the Eight-Star Dou Zun level.

"It's nothing compared to you. As expected of someone with a divine bloodline," Huo Xuan replied with a bitter smile, sensing Mo Yu's deep and powerful aura.

Mo Yu chuckled, knowing that without Lei Zhen's legacy and his own Perfect Heavenly Thunder Body, his growth would not have been so rapid.

"It's Xiao Yan and Xun'er. They've come out too," Xiao Yu said with a smile, pointing toward a pair of familiar figures in the distance.

Mo Yu followed her gaze and saw two figures—Xiao Yan and Xun'er—looking like they were made for each other.

Xiao Yan and Xun'er soon noticed Mo Yu and his group and hurried over.

When they sensed Mo Yu's immense strength, Xiao Yan and Xun'er exchanged wry smiles but showed no surprise. They were already used to Mo Yu's extraordinary abilities. However, Xiao Yu caught their attention, making both Xiao Yan and Xun'er raise their eyebrows in slight surprise.

Xun'er carefully examined Xiao Yu and, with a rare look of astonishment, asked, "Cousin Xiao Yu, what's with the change?"

Xiao Yu winked playfully at Xun'er and smiled. "What's wrong, Xun'er? Don't you recognize me?"

"Haha, it seems Cousin Xiao Yu also encountered one of our ancestors in the Heavenly Tomb," Xiao Yan said, smiling as if he had realized something.

Xiao Yu's significant transformation was likely due to receiving a legacy from one of the Xiao Clan ancestors in the tomb, just like him.

"Yes. After we were separated, I wandered deep into the tomb and found the resting place of Ancestor Xiao Fairy. She learned of the Xiao Clan's decline and took me as her disciple. During that time, she helped me restore my Dou Emperor bloodline and passed on all her knowledge to me..." Xiao Yu's face showed deep gratitude as she spoke of Xiao Fairy.

"Ancestor Xiao Fairy..." Xun'er's face reflected her astonishment. Even among the ancient clans, Xiao Fairy was a well-known Dou Saint, so Xun'er was both surprised and happy for Xiao Yu.

Xiao Yan also nodded, feeling genuinely glad for Xiao Yu.

"By the looks of it, Cousin Xiao Yan must have gained quite a bit from the Heavenly Tomb as well," Mo Yu said with a smile, noticing Xiao Yan's strong aura.

"Indeed, I won't hide it. I met Ancestor Xiao Xuan in the tomb and also restored the Xiao Clan's bloodline," Xiao Yan said, scratching his head with a smile.

"Xiao Xuan..." Mo Yu nodded, unsurprised by this revelation.

Beside them, Lei Fei'er, who had been listening, was stunned. Xiao Xuan, the former patriarch of the Xiao Clan, was a name that echoed throughout the continent. He had almost reached the pinnacle of the Dou Emperor level, and his legacy was a great boon to Xiao Yan.

Realizing how far Xiao Yan had come despite the Xiao Clan's downfall, Lei Fei'er's eyes shone with newfound respect for him.

"Thank you, Xiao Yan, and you too, Xun'er, for helping me secure a spot in the Heavenly Tomb," Xiao Yu said, holding Xun'er's hand in gratitude.

Xun'er shook her head and smiled. "That spot rightfully belonged to the Xiao Clan. It's my clan that benefited for so many years. If anyone should be thanked, it's Cousin Mo Yu. He's the one who made the elders hesitate because you are his fiancée."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yu's eyes sparkled with affection as she looked at Mo Yu. The Heavenly Tomb spot and the Bloodline Reversion Pill were all gifts Mo Yu had arranged for her, filling her heart with deep gratitude.

Mo Yu, seeing the love in her eyes, gently took her hand. Just as he was about to speak, a black mist shot across the sky like a dark dragon, arriving beside the two cold corpses.

"Soul Cliff! Soul Li!"

The black mist condensed into a black-robed elder, who stood frozen as he stared at the corpses in disbelief. He had never imagined that both would perish in the tomb.

As his eyes turned blood-red, those around him instinctively backed away, fearing he might go on a rampage.

"Who killed them?" The elder's gaze locked onto Mo Yu, his voice filled with killing intent.

Mo Yu remained calm and replied indifferently, "No need to guess. I killed them. They brought this upon themselves."

"How dare you! Killers must pay with their lives!" The elder roared, throwing a dark chain toward Mo Yu.

Unfazed, Mo Yu stepped forward and caught the chain with his hand, summoning a lightning whip to counterattack.

With a burst of power, the elder was forced back a step, while Mo Yu stood firm, coldly mocking him.

"You old fool, is that all you've got?" Mo Yu taunted.

At that moment, Mang Tianchi appeared and shouted, "Soul Clan! Do you intend to start a war with the Lei Clan over this?"

After a tense exchange of words, the Soul Clan elders realized they could not win against the combined strength of the Lei Clan and Mo Yu. They reluctantly retreated, leaving behind their threat of future revenge.

Mo Yu, watching them depart, couldn't help but feel grateful for the strong backing of the Lei Clan.

Having a powerful ally is always a blessing...
