The second day had come, and the first thing she did that morning was wake up and check on Michael. He seemed fine, and the healing process seemed to be going well. But for some reason, he seemed to have caught a small fever. It was small but it was still an odd occurrence, considering her energy should've been clearing his body of all impurities as well. Then again, this could've been a sign he was getting better as well.
After spending a few hours with him, she left the house a little after noon. She had hoped to go out for a bit, and enjoy the festivities for a while, before the time of the ceremony.
As she headed out of the cave, she turned back towards him.
"I'll be back soon, I'll try not to stay out too long this time."
With that she left, leaving him alone. His body twitched, slowly his eye began to open. He struggled to sit up, but when he did he looked around studying the walls. Last night was the first time he felt like he wasn't a corpse, honestly his body felt pretty good, but the fever was still gnawing at him.
He turned to notice a small pot of soup beside him, he slowly scooted over towards it and took a spoon full.
"Hmm, not bad. Thank you."
He said a short prayer then continued to eat. After allowing his body to absorb the energy from it. He rose to his feet, and headed towards the throne. He touched the material on the throne admiring its craftsmanship. He then walked behind it, towards the underground chamber. Turning the keys he headed down the stairs. Walking into the room, he looked at the walls, the runes were all faded.
He walked towards the pedestal where the book once sat, he rubbed his hands over the top of it. He closed his eyes, remember that night. A smile appeared on his face when he remembered holding it, then he remembered the three strang beings that met them in the hall. His smile start to fade into a scowl when he remembered what happened at the entrance. The sound of a gunshot rang out in his mind, it startled him, forcing his eyes open. He looked down holding onto his chest, he could feel the phantom pain, as he touched where the bullet entered.
He breathed deeply as he lowered his hands, he clenched them as he replayed the moment over and over. Then he angrily slamed his hands onto the pedestal, blood dripped from his hands from the impact. He winced as he slowly brought them up, he looked at his wounds, and saw they were already being repaired. He sighed to himself, as his hands still shook with anger.
Turning around he headed back towards the hall. His anger subsided; replaced by cold indifference.
"I'll play your game, Bryne."

In the town, the festival had been kicked off. There were fireworks going off, and people dacing and singing along to the music. The people enjoyed the food and festivities, there were games and more.
Scarlett was enjoying herself, even passing by the three children and the thugs from the days before. They two were having the time of their lives, not bothering anyone, and enjoy themselves.
She walked over and joined the woman behind the stall. They were laughing and enjoying their drinks together. It had been a while since she could relax like so, so she made the best of her time there.
The man from before, turned on the radio once more. As he flipped through the channels, he was annoyed that they were all playing the same thing. The man was already drunk, and expecting to hear a sports broadcast. Instead he was forced to listen to the voice of a women he had no idea about.
Annoyed he raised his bottle, ready to slam it on the radio. But Scarlett was nearby, and the words on the radio caught her attention. Her eyes widened, she rushed over and caught the bottle before it could land. She took it from him, and tossed it aside, then turned the radio up. But, she was only able to catch the tail end of the speech.
"Awaken young sheep, lead your own. And take back the destiny stolen from you.
Shatter the unbroken chains."
Her eyes widened at the words, a smile grew on her face but it quickly changed.
"Shit."
Dropping her drink she ran through the crowd, trying to get back to the forest. Running through the trees she ran as fast as she could, analyzing the best route to get back, as she went.
The moment the words were spoken, she realized, if Michael really was like her then he would be affected by the book as well. She had planned to be there, in case it did affect him, but she lost track of time; not realizing the conference had already started.
As she ran, she could feel a strong wave of energy rushing towards her. She pushed as hard as she could to out race it, but it was all for not. The wave passed through her as it rushed by.
As it did, the world around her changed into that of darkness. Her soul disconnected from her body, and she was forced into her souls' domain. She found herself floating in the middle of the darkness, with the broken mirror infront of her. The glass began to crack further, until it shattered completely. It surrounded her, encasing her in beams of light as it spun around her. It slammed back into the casing reversing its own damage until there wasn't a single crack left.
She slowly fell back to the floor, her eyes glowing brightly. As she looked at the mirror, she felt someone tap her shoulder. Turning she saw the little girl, she slowly grey to match her in hight. Her hair elongated, and her features began to match her own. She smiled at her, then forcefully pushed her palm onto her chest. Forcing her out of the domain.
Opening her eyes, she was once again in the forest. She could feel it, her power had once again returned to her. She felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from her soul. She smirked to herself then vanished from her position.
She reappeared at the entrance of the hall. Entering she rushed down the stairs, to check on him. Reaching him, she checked to make sure he was alive. She touched his chest, searching for a heartbeat. He was alive, but she noticed her aura was no longer flowing through him.
She tried to wake him, but nothing worked. Then she placed her hand onto his head, she closed her eyes. She concentrated searching for a shred of consciousness, but there was none. Opening her eyes, she realized it was too late, he was already gone.
"Looks like it's time then."
She closed her eyes, placing her hand out. Her aura began to vibrate as it, seep out from it. It began to swurl in the area infront of her, until it began to condense and take shape. Opening her eyes a black door stood before her, she looked to him before walking through it.
"What secret does your prison hide, Sun."

Scarlett found herself in yet another forest. Looking around she recognized the place, it was a place filled with wildlife. It was always day time in this area, and was filled many streams and waterfalls.
As she walked through the forest, she past many beautiful creatures. They all greeted her, not showing any fear towards the stranger roaming their home. Stretching out her senses, she searched the forest for any signs life not belonging to the animals. Soon she caught something sitting on a rock in front of one of the waterfalls, it seemed to be that of a man surrounded by some of the animals. The man seemed to have felt her lurking eyes, and looked in her direction.
Deactivating it, she moved in the direction the man was. After a while she finally made it to the waterfall, the man was still there, enjoying the company of the animals. He looked behind him at her, and gave her a warm smile.
"This place is beautiful. I finally get to meet you face to face."
"Indeed it is. How do you feel?"
The man looked down at his hands for a moment before answering.
"I feel... different... more alive than ever, yet I know this isn't my real body."
"It's not. It's your soul."
Then what about you, that is the real you, is it not."
She walked up and sat beside him, petting one of the majestic dear.
"It is."
He looked towards the waterfall. He seemed distant, his mind seemed to be occupied by something.
"Thank you..., for saving me. I'll find a way to repay you. It might take a while, but I hope you don't mind I have something I want to do first."
She looked up at him, noticing the distant look in his eyes.
"Revenge? It won't be easy now, not if they are awakened like you."
"I know, but they aren't like me are they.?"
"No, they aren't. You're like me."
He looked her in the eyes.
"And what are you?"
"I'm what's called a Daemon."
